Compared to up north, I have no doubt my lil Florida will provide you with some warmth.

It is funny you mention this though, because hubby and I were just talking the other day about how all the Northerners come down here in Nov and Dec and consider it so warm. Whereas most of us Floridians think anything below 60 is down right chilly! We are always so amazed when we are walking around the parks with jackets and long pants on and see others, that we just assume are from up North, wearing shorts and tank tops!

Now with all that in mind, come summer every year I am wishing we lived up north, because it is so miserably hot and humid here.

To make it worse my parents are in Fl and they find it funny to tell menthe temperature down there!!

Oh and I really really want some Disney pop corn!! My son can not eat it so I am going to have to find some time to sneak away and eat it when I am there!

Sorry to hear that you wont be heading out as soon as you hoped. But at least there is the possibility of making it out there in March.

Good luck! I hope you get it all worked out. Have you considered staying at one of the value resorts? Would that make enough difference? You can always go camping! That is what we changed to when our finances got a bit tighter.

I hope you can work something out so that you can still go and be there to see all the Christmas decor here is some pixie dust for good luck

Thanks, everyone! I rented points and got such a good view that it would be hard to want to stay anywhere else. I will do the math at maybe staying at a value resort (plus maybe get free dining if still being offered). If this doesn't work, then guess we will have March to look forward to (but it is SO hard to want to give up that boardwalk view and Christmas!)

Today my daughter was able to go to the unveiling of Mickey's Teddy Bear Duffy.... it was in Epcot and she said it was so much fun... Mickey and Duffy arrive on a sail boat. Then Mickey introduced Duffy... it seems that Duffy is a gift from Minnie to Mickey to keep him company while Mickey travels around.... he is a real cutie....

Then Mickey introduced Duffy... it seems that Duffy is a gift from Minnie to Mickey to keep him company while Mickey travels around.... he is a real cutie....

It is cold here in Connecticut too, have had to turn on the heat the last couple of night, and wearing sweats and socks now

It gets fairly hot and miserable here in Ct in the summer due to Long Island Sound, I have always wanted to move to Florida but can not get DH to be of the same mindset, not even for retirement

We have a bad Noreaster Storm coming , no snow but tons of wind and rain and low temps. I cut my last rose bud off the bush so I could enjoy it and picked my green tomatoes off the vines last night, I hate the thought of winter coming, can not wait to be in Florida, it is truely going to be hard to come back to the cold of the north this trip.

Speaking of the Floridians feeling the cold, I can recall one year seeing all these people wearing their winter coats during the show at MGM and we were loving the weather, we wanted to eat out on the patio at Traders and they told us it ws too cold the patio was closed ,we thought these Florida peeps are crazy

I read about Duffy and wrote down in my notes where to find him in Epcot.............I want one too!

Maggie says the larger Duffy bears (like the one int he photo) are $25... but they have smaller ones and all kinds of clothes you can buy for them...

Not sure- I think it depends on the type of room you want... For us, we used the pin b/c we REALLY wanted to try a 1 bedroom. But we have decided that our March trip will be (hopefully) moderate with free dining since our sone will turn 10 and is not a big eater.

I can't believe it is getting so close now. We are all crazy excited.
