I think what is making it go so slow for me is that I haven't been allowed to do anything. No vacation, no swimming, nothing.... We have never NOT went on vacation during the summer. And normally, we are at the pool everyday. The public pool is maybe 2 min from my house. But I won't allow them to go swimming there without me in the pool. DD2 is still a bit afraid of water without a adult. I can't wait for school to start so thing start speeding up.

:drinking1

I did that too! But I still want to do MVMCP! :santa: I'm not sure about DH spending an evening of his surprise trip drink free, though. :drinking1

He does love his beer! ;)

Hello and Welcome to Our Group !

I had to laugh when I read your post since I do believe the fact of no beer in the MK is my DH biggest pet peeve

I actually think I am going to try & wait to see what deals come out end of October/beginning of November for our January quick trip. From what I've read, that is usually when the deals for January come out. I don't know if I can wait that long!!! :scared1: Seriously, I booked this November an entire year ago. :lmao: My plans have plans :rotfl: I may need help!

There have been some great deals for January.... there is a thread going watching for January discounts....

No beer in MK.... but the monorail resorts are very close by..:rotfl:

Congrats to those who hit double digits! :woohoo:

It's beautiful here and a relief after all those days of high temps and humidity. :cheer2: We're heading down to the beach for a few days, I'll finally be able to hike over the sand dunes to get to the ocean 'cause my knee is feeling all better. Have a great weekend, everyone. :yay: Lots of :grouphug: to everyone. I think that this is one of nicest, friendliest, and most fun groups on the DIS. :flower3:

Have a great time.... glad your feeling better and can go!!

Hi everyone, I have really enjoyed reading through this thread and would love to join you in your November planning/counting down. Our family just changed our trip from October to November so we will now be traveling in November for the first time! This will be our 5th Disney trip and we have two boys 9 and 6. We are all huge Disney fans! On this trip, we will be staying at Pop on November 11th-20th with free QSDP. All of our other trips have been in early fall or late summer with free regular dining. We have stayed at Pop and POR and even off site, once. We've been in September and August. Our last trip was actually June (this one was off site) and we only did one day at Disney (Magic Kingdom) using up one day tickets we had purchased from the previous year to get free dining. The June trip was a Sea World package but we spent 16 hours at Magic Kingdom and had a blast! I never thought I would want to do Disney in the summer but I learned on this LONG day that it was really doable with fast passes and planning. The June trip was my youngest son's 6th birthday so the highlight was a cast member having the crowd sing to him, then presenting him with fast passes for everyone in our group! Anyway, we are really excited about possibly cooler weather and about seeing the Christmas decorations on this trip! We are also really looking forward to not being tied down to reservations for table service dining. I know that sounds weird but I am looking forward to being a little more flexible with our schedule this time!

We are not planning on doing the MVMCP but I am so looking forward to OL! How are planning on packing for the weather? I'm not sure what to pack for that time of the year?

:cool1::cool1::cool1:....I am almost to double digits!

I plan on packing relatively light since we are staying in a villa and will have a washer/dryer,and only staying 5 nights this trip.

I plan on wearing jeans or sweats and a light jacket and my crocs down on the plane, then packing one skirt ,4 short sleeve tops, 2 or 3 shorts, bathing suit and sneakers.

From what everyone says the weather is beautiful in November but you might need long pants or a light jacket early mornings or at night.

DH and I decided that since this trip is close to DD1 bday and she is calling it her bday trip, that we wanted to make it a special trip for her. So, I made some special plans for her yesterday. I can't say what because she is known to log on here and read under my name. So, I have got to leave it as a surprise. But she is going to be over the moon thrilled!

Oh and as of today, I am on a DISboard strike till I hate 99days! :snooty: lol

We were there last November and most days the high was right around 80. So it was shorts & short sleeved shirts for us!! We would wear light jackets in the early mornings and evenings if needed. I did pack one pair of jeans for each of us and we needed them one day of the trip when it only reached 65 that day. For the most part the weather was perfect. :cloud9:

Disney mommy 2006~ the year we went in Nov, we only had the jeans we wore on the plane..I packed a pair of those pants for the kids that I call wind pants..you know that make that rustling sound? but they pack well and i think they needed them only one night with a light jacket! It's great to be able to see the Christmas stuff without such a crowd...
sjs~CONGRATS ON 99 DAYS!!!

Magical Express envelope arrived today... and I was confused:confused3.. thinking boy they are on top of things sending this so early:thumbsup2... then I remembered I am going in a few weeks to take Maggie and using Magical Express to get to the airport....:lmao:... silly me...
