ooohhh!! Thats a great deal...$81 each way....the last few years ours has been around $210-230 RT per person!! That's the lowest...ever!!! When we first went in 2000..they were like $180 RT....I would looove to get $180 again...and NO baggage fees...however did they stay afloat?:rotfl: I really hate that baggage fee business...it's ridiculous! We are a fam of 5...so I am trying to get all of dd's stuff in a carry-on, mine in a carry-on, and what doesnt fit for me will go in one of the boys' suitcases.Dh needs two!!! I am ordering those packing folders from Eagle Creek for us...so hopefully that will help tremendously--especially my hubby--he has NO concept of how to pack!

It's great until you add in the $148 in taxes and fees! That's total for 4 rt tickets though. So the total for each of us comes out to $199.25.

I use a Continental Master Card when I book flights, no baggage fees for the 1st checked bag of each person on the reservation. Didn't they start charging baggage fees when the fuel prices shot through the ceiling a couple of years ago? Well, now that fuel prices are lower shouldn't they eliminate baggage fees? :headache:

Now, Now! What kinda of Disney Nut can you claim to be when you don't pay attention to all the info! ;) j/k

The fireworks that ran during the summer are the fireworks from the Pirates and Princess Party. I have heard they are as good, if not better then the New Years fireworks. And if that is the case, they must be unbelievable!

No, they don't say how long, but maybe til the end of the year, I hope.

I like Spectro but I LOVE MSEP, I think the last time I saw it was sometime in the 90's. Yes, you're right, it's either one or the other parade, not both.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfv1EhPvkLc&feature=related

I even had a cassette tape (That's old!) of the music to play in the car and drive my family bonkers.

I know. I am so embarrassed to know so little about this. :guilty: :rotfl:

I read a little about the summer happenings, but knew (or thought) it didn't effect us, so I didn't get too far into it.

Thanks for the video! MSEP looks cool, but I really love the music to Spectro.

Oh well, I guess we'll just go with the flow and we'll get what we get in November!! Of course if we decide to go to a MVMCP then it really won't matter, we will just see the Christmas parade & fireworks! :santa:

BUT - I spent my MVMCP money on adding an extra day! :faint:

I would love to see the Main Street Electrical Parade again its one of my memories of our first trip to WDW back in '89-I can hear the music in my head just thinking about it

I sorta thought they might extend the run since they brought it back all the way from Disneyland , did not make sense to run it only for a couple of months this summer

Only bad thing about it running in November when we are there is I will have to figure out how to fit it in , not sure if it will even be possible to do

I saw the Electrical Parade as a kid and I fell in Loooove with it!! Mike and the kids have never seen it, as they don't offer it when we go...I think I like it better...but maybe that is childhood memory blocking my rationale!!! Hopefully we can all enjoy it again and decide!!!!

What wonderful news, I hope. We will not be there until the end of November. Dare I hope?????:wizard:

Main Street Electrical Parade has been extended:

Oh, I hope that it's still there in November, I haven't seen it in years and I loved it.

it sure would be a treat...my son really digs the music from this parade....

I'm not sure if I have ever seen, maybe back at DL in the late 80's as we were walking out...my I love Spectro the music, sounds...everything...

but I will take whatever they are dishing out...a light up parade at night sharing glow bracelets w/ our "friends" pure Disney...:goodvibes

I agree, as long as they have a parade with lots of pretty lights going on, I'm good! Plus my kids have never seen the main street one so somehting new would be cool!
I ordered my kids each a guide book and they came yesterday- they're called Guide to the Magic for Kids. They are awesome and the kids are really excited (esp. DS11). I saw the add in the Celebrations magazine and went to their website (they give a discount for multiple copies).
They have a page for each attraction and stickers to add after you ride each ride. Also a journal section in back for each day of your trip to write where you went, what you ate , etc.
I think they will be really fun!

Those sound like a wonderful idea and such a nice souvenir to have afterwards for your kids.

Thank you for all the prayers. We made it back home Tuesday from my mom's "Bucket List" trip. My mom is in the hospital with liver failure. She has jaundice & is experiencing severe bilirubin (spelling??) Oncologist said liver is so covered w/ cancer that prayer is the only help. She suspects it may have entered her brain. Her kidneys are "borderline" so she's not ordering MRI or CT scan for a couple of days.

My request is that people don't just pray for her healing. Please pray for God's Will to be done. If she has fulfilled her purpose on earth & God sees fit to take her, I pray He will quickly, so she'll be out of pain. I want her to stay, but not if she's suffering.

I'm so thankful for the trip we took & the memories we've made. Thank you to all of you for taking this journey with me. Life will never be the same once she's gone. She's lived with us since her diagnosis (the week before Thanksgiving 2009) and we've only grown closer through the months. She's my best friend & my stomach sickens at the thought of her leaving us. I will give God all the glory for taking her home because she has made such a difference in this world! There is NO telling how many people will experience eternity in Heaven because of her love for Jesus Christ.

God bless, Angela :cloud9:

Angela... I am so sorry about your mom.... we will keep you in our prayers and pray that God will end her suffering soon. How wonderful though that you were able to spend the last months with her... the time you will cherish forever....God Bless you all.

What an AWESOME testimony!! That is really what it's all about--living for Jesus and giving God the glory!!! I will have your family on my prayer list...I totally understand that you don't want her suffering and her last days to be filled with pain. How wonderful that you have been blessed to have her with you and take care of her... I know it's gotta be hard and surreal to look at her and know she is facing death....you have to know I am blessed by your faith as well as hers. Know that you have been a good daughter and you will be together again!!! Praying.....

Oh Angela, I am so sorry! I just returned from the funeral of one of my very best friends (36) yesterday who lost her battle with breast cancer. The only comfort I have is that she is no longer suffering or in pain. I know where she is and I know she is healthy and whole! I pray this for you and your family as well. What an amazing legacy your mother has passed on to you and so many others.

weHEARTmickey, my dear. I am so sorry for what you are going through. I know it is hard and you are doing everything you possibly can in this situation and you may never know, until it is your turn and if you are lucky enough to have such a wonderful child as yourself, what a gift you are giving your mother at this time.

It will be such a comfort to you later to know that you have done all you could and shared this extremely difficult, but precious time together.

Your prayer is always my prayer. The older one gets the less afraid of death one becomes. There are far worse things.

Hugs and prayers to you both and your families, Slightly Goofy

Angela, I am heartbroken and blessed by your post. It takes an amazing mom to bring up a daughter with such wisdom. I know your mother is very proud of you.

I only hope I can be half as strong for my mom as you are for yours.

I will pray for you all.

Angela, you're mom is truly blessed for having a daughter like you. I only wish that my parents and I had that last "bucket list" trip with their grandchildren. My mother and father both died of cancer. Dad's lung cancer spread to his brain and mom's pancreatic cancer did spread to her liver. Once it spread to her liver, she also had bilirubin build-up which is what jaundice is. I will pray for her to. She IS in G-d's hands. You did good.

Oh Angela. I'm so sorry. Your mom and whole family are in my prayers. I am so happy that you got to spend these last months with her and take an awesome trip. I know it will be hard when she leaves you, but I also know that you will have comfort knowing that she is in Heaven and there will be no more suffering.

I know well what you are going through and I remember making these same prayers requests for my own Mom. You, your Mom and all of your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
