Mine's old (got it at Michaels, though), but the design makes it easy to forget I'm wearing it - I think the key is something that fits a bit like a headband, but not down behind the ears, flexible enough to bed to the right shape, and combs on the ends help.

Happy day - I ran last night without pain! 2.5 miles with 2:00run/3:00walk intervals for an avg pace of 13:20/mile. Only times I felt potential for pain? Yep, transitioning from run to walk. So I don't think it matters how much I walk or run, but how many times I transition from walk to run; that's what I need to keep to a minimum.

The year I ran, I did a little web seraching and found a ponytail holder that had a blinged-out tiara/crown attached to it...so I still had a tiara on, but just a more comfortable, easier version Just an idea. Also, if you like to wear any type of sweat band, Bondi Band makes one with a crown across the front of it, as another alternative...I'm wearing one in the first pic below. It comes in other colors.

I'm kind of on the fence about the medal... I can't tell if it's two-tone silver and gold (which I really don't like) or if the parts that look like they could be silver are white or glitter or what? oh well...and what's up with it not even saying "5th Anniversary" anywhere? I guess I expected that because the 5th Anniversary DL half medal had like a big "5" on it and it was obvious that it was an anniversary medal. I'll probably like it more in person, I hope!

Also, thanks for posting it...I couldn't get to it from FB. The link they posted just took me to the page to register to win the night in the castle, which I can't do because I'm a CM. Bummer.

EDITED: I found a clearer pic and can see where it says "5 Years" at the bottom now. It's growing on me

I ran in one for a 5K and it stayed great but I have never tried a longer run with it. It just has the comb clips (and was actually from my wedding where it stayed in place all day and night).

I always run with a hat so I am not sure what I am going to do. Maybe I can get a plain color hat and attach a tiara to it. I want to do something cute. I was also thinking about the princess mouse ears but I know those will bother me after a few miles. I think I will just get those to wear later that day with my medal.

Yay! So excited to see the medal! I think it is awesome that a princess is going to get a night in the castle-how fitting! Can't wait to get home tonight to enter.

It does...I didn't see it initially either, found a better picture and it is stamped "5 YEARS" bottom center, with 2009 on the left and 2013 on the right at the bottom.

I missed that the first time as well ....

Personally, I love the classy, not 'in your face' way that they included the anniversary. With the small "5 years" under the banner, and the dates on the banner sides (2009 on the left and 2013 on the right), it gets the point across in a really understated way.

I'm also not normally a fan of two-tone, but this also isn't something I'll wear every day like a regular necklace or a ring, so I'm okay with it for the medal!

The more I look at it, the more I love it!!

The medal is amazing, I can't wait to get it...

Unfortunately I can't run at the moment because my hip is hurting. I hope a couple of weeks of rest can fix it or else I'll be joining the walkers :-(
