is one of you girls on here named Amanda Z?? (not going to give out your whole name if you don't want it to...that is if you are on here!) I got a friend request on facebook but don't reconize the name so I thought it might be a diser?? Because I know there is another Kara Arter but she is in California and I am not sure if she is on facebook or not??

Or did any of you other girls get this request??

I got it too....I ignored it cause I was so out of it I didn't have time to see who it was..if its one of you I am sorry..I will friend ya!

I got a request from Amanda Z., too, and I ignored it because I totally spaced and didn't think it might be a DIS-er. Sorry if it was one of you - send it to me again and I'll friend you! :goodvibes

Owen has been a pill this morning - just whiny and fussy for no clear reason. Ugh! It's supposed to be a beautiful day today, too, and I was really hoping to take him out, but if he's going to be mr.cranky pants I think I'd rather just let him be a pill at home or the local park. There's a town near us that has a great walkable downtown area with lots of fun shops and cafes and a couple parks that I thought we could go wander through for a few hours, but I don't want to be more than 10 minutes from home if Owen decides to throw a fit. I guess we'll see how he's doing when he wakes up from his nap this morning.

ok...then its a diser. I just wanted to make sure that I was not ignoring anybody!

CHRISTINA~~~HOT DOG!! CONGRATS LADY!!! :woohoo:

k_reile~~Glad Caleb is doing well. :goodvibes

I don't start Sears til April 8th and won't receive a paycheck til the end of the month and it will be VERY small. They get paid every two weeks and I'll be coming in on a new pay week. Income is going to change DRASTICALLY, but it will a good lesson in budgeting. They could only pay me minimum wage because of the economy, but what can I say. Wish us luck ladies!

Bad news...Moshe, Grammy(our babysitter), and myself were in a nasty car accident on Tuesday! :sad1: My car is sitting a tow yard right now, but is repairable. Both air bags deployed, but little Moshe didn't wasn't touched at all. The impact, sound, and us screaming is what scared him. That car seat didn't move! LOVE BRITAX! And Moshe didn't move, meaning I had him strapped in correctly. ;) Grammy spent more time in the hospital than I did. She had to be transported by ambulance. Her ribs were hurting and she's older of course. She had just had surgery two weeks prior. I have never been so scared in my life as I was when I heard Moshe cry. I got out of my car in sock feet, in the rain (was wearing clogs) to get to him. Unfortunately accident was my fault and I was sited. $140 ticket and $250 deductible. DANG! :guilty: Have to move what little bit of money we have left from ING to help out since my pay is so little. My shoulder is killing me and now my upper chest hurts. I suppose the chest is from where the seatbelt did its job. Grammy has red marks on her face and parts of her hands. That's from the air bag. She got worse of that than I did. I do have a rental and I'm actually enjoying a bigger car. Got a KIA. Not bad. That sound from brakes screeching and the impact of the two cars....hideous..and I can STILL hear it! Didn't sleep the night of the accident til 2:30 in the morning. I cried a lot that evening too. Cool thing though, Moshe was running around the hospital when Grammy and I were there doing his thing. :cheer2: So he came out better than the rest of us! :goodvibes It was raining that day and would you believe we were the 3rd or 4th accident that day. Awful day! Awful! I'm just glad we're all okay. Accidents like that change things. I've been in one other accident before, not our fault, but the impact of that emotionally and physically didn't hit me like this one did. Having a 16 month old in the car definitely makes a difference. Thank goodness this happened during spring break week. So I don't have to concentrate on school til next Monday.

Well, everyone's okay. Had a very kind man from the insurance agency where our wreck happened come out to assist. He was awesome! And his first concern was Moshe. I went yesterday to thank him and I think I'll make him some cookies or brownies or something. He didn't have to come out you know, but he told me he hopes that someone would do for his wife and daughter what he did. Want to know what other building was across the street from our accident....the sub division of the Sheriff's office! How bout them apples??!! :rolleyes1 An officer was out INSTANTLY. Said he heard the impact and said to the others....that doesn't sound good at all.

Alrighty...must go feed my little man a waffle and eggs. I hope all you other ladies are doing well.

:flower3::hug:

Denise, so glad you all are ok and for a good carseat! Good luck starting the new job on wednesday.

We found out the other night that Caleb thinks burps are funny! I unfortunately had the case of the burps and that kid was cracking up. :rotfl: So DH tried it last night again he was cracking up. DH also did where he hid and then came up and said BOO...and Caleb thought that was funny too. I think we are just now getting to the point in his life where he is really fun and wanting to start to play. I can't wait for whatever he comes up with next. Well maybe not everything...not sure if I am ready for him to crawl or walk as I need to be more organized first. But I did try placing him on his belly and putting a toy a little bit out of his reach (course I had to hold onto the toy because the dog kept on stealing it...I just know those two will be fighting over toys...who would ever think that sentance goes together:confused3:rotfl::rotfl2:) but he was not having it. I need to try it when he is not tired and in a good mood...but he was moving the legs...they just wouldn't go anywhere.

Denise, glad you are all ok!

Spencer had his check up today. He weighs 24.11 lbs, is 31 1/2 in, and his head is 18 1/2.

We have also discovered he loves Nutragrain bars. Still, his favorite food is chicken (I think he could eat it all day long). :)

Hope everyone is doing ok.

I am sorry to fly by and do an all about me post but I need your good thoughts and prayers.

My BFP tests are not getting any darker, if anything they are getting lighter. My Beta from yesterday, 13DPO, was only 15. I am doing a repeat tomorrow but I don't have a good feeling. I got a PREGNANT on a CBE digi 12DPO and 13DPO but today it said NOT PREGNANT and my First Response line is lighter than the one yesterday, 24 hours ago.

I am not getting rid of my siggie until we know for sure. I am holding out hope that this is a stickie baby. No signs of AF yet but these tests should be getting darker, at least not the faint faint squinters that they are. The NOT PREGNANT digi on the CBE was heart breaking because those are super sensitive. I have been getting faint lines since 10DPO so by 14DPO they should be SOMETHING darker.

Thanks.

And Denise, I'm so glad that you guys are all okay!! :scared: Yikes! Accidents are scary!

One of our kitties, Rosalind, has been throwing up all day. :guilty: She's always had a sensitive tummy, but usually a little pepcid is all it takes to settle her stomach and she's fine again. Today she can't keep the pepcid down. She's around 12 years old, so we're concerned that she's sick this time. Ros is DH's "special girl" - he raised Rosalind and her sister Beatrice from when they were kittens and she loves DH best. So he's very worried, but we can't get her in to the vet until tomorrow. Fortunately, DH cleared his work schedule so he can come with me to Owen's first PT appointment, so he has time to take Rosalind in after the dr. appt. Sigh. One more thing to cost money when we're trying to reduce spending. Ugh. I wonder what else I can sell on Craigslist... ;)

Densie - WOW! So glad that everyone was ok!!! That's good that they are able to fix your car, and that Mo was acting fine immediately after. That must have been so scary!!

Nothing much else new here...the thermometer on my deck read 70 degrees today!!! How awesome is that?!?! :thumbsup2

Oh, so we have an above-the-ground pool in our backyard that was here when we bought the house. I think it's the ugliest thing ever...but...Brady loved it last summer, and I really enjoyed it during my pregnancy. Unfortunately, the functional eye-sore has not survived this winter. The bottom near the ground is buckling and DH says that it is a hazard and won't last. :sad2: Sucks because we spent tons of money last year for a new filter system, pump, and stairs. Ugggg. The good news is that once we take it down, it will be a perfect cleared area for a huge swingset!!

You've said it to me and I'll say it to you, it's all right to have all about me posts every now and again....that's what we're here for. :thumbsup2:hug:

Best of luck to you Christina and hoping that siggie stays around for the next nine months! :flower3:

Christina :grouphug: I'm praying your baby sticks!

Denise - scary! Glad Moshe is OK. Good luck with Sears, that should be a fun place to work.

Kelly - good for the swingset!! We're trying to figure out whether to get one this summer, or wait and get a great one next summer. I'm leaning towards waiting.

Christopher is doing great. He's definitely picking up more words "all done, more" He spent hours today flipping through a calendar I made last year with all his pictures. Every time he'd find one with DH, he'd point and say Dada. He'd do the Mama ones only if I asked... :rotfl:

Christina -- HUGS!!! We are here for you no matter what!

Have you called your doctor? My fingers are crossed that this is just a late implanter.

The fact that lines are not getting much darker does not really concern me. A line is a line - and the darkness of the line is not really significant. Some tests will give dark lines and others faint lines. You may remember Elaine from this thread ages ago -- I recall her talking about even at 3-4 months pregnant she was just getting faint lines on some tests.

So don't focus too much on the darkness/lightness of the lines.

Any beta over 5 is pregnant -- the issue is not the number of the beta -- the issue is that it needs to at least double every 48 hours. So - your first beta was 15. Was that yesterday? You need a 2nd beta about 48 hours later (so try to get your blood drawn around the same time as yesterday) -- we are looking for at least a 30 on that beta!

That will be the true test.

No AF yet is good too.

If your doctor won't do a beta - let me know and I can point you to some info about independant labs that will do it without a prescription and/or doctor's order.

I am thinking of you!! Really thinking of you and praying for you and hoping for you and keeping everything crossed for you!!

Please call your doc and tell them what is going on. No matter what they say - INSIST -- on another beta test. Also - have them check your other levels when they do that test (estrogen, progesterone...) make sure those are within the correct levels -- because they can give you progesterone if needed and sometimes you need that to help the pregnancy along. I was on progesterone shots till I was 4 months pregnant!

We are here for you.

What did your doctor say?

Get the repeat beta - pray for a doubling and let us know!!

Hugs
Nicole

I agree with Nicole. I believe Elaine was even getting false negatives, not just faint lines (I want to say those were First Response).

We are here for you.

Hi Everyone! :goodvibes

Owen's PT appointment went well today. Owen showed off all his tricks, and had fun playing with the toys in the exam room. While he was playing, he managed to show the dr. all the things we were concerned about, and the dr. was able to reassure us that everything looks fine. Owen does have low muscle tone in his legs, which is why he can still bend and turn his legs, ankles, feet and knees into all kinds of positions. But he does do all the right movements for stregthening those muscles, and the dr. assured us that if he keeps progressing at the same rate, he should be walking by 18m. And if he isn't walking by then, or if his feet still look like they're turning in too much, we can send him an email and we'll go back in for another evaluation.

In the meantime, we are to: put his favorite toys on the higher shelves to encourage him to stand on his tip toes, try to get him to do more squatting and stand-squat-stand actions, and have him crawl bare-legged on the tile more often (since he hates the feel of the tile on his legs, he does a funny bear-walk/crawl whenever he has naked knees on the tile ). And if we can afford it, we need to buy a pair of stride-rite or similar shoes with a strong heel support. Mostly he runs around barefoot, but when he does wear shoes he will benefit from the strong heel support.

Anyway, the dr. said he doubts Owen will qualify for CA EI, so I'm debating if I should cancel that appointment. I don't want to use up resources and time that could be going to someone who really would benefit from the services, especially if it's unlikely Owen will qualify.

Today is turning out to be pretty crazy...the cat is still barfing and has a vet appointment at 3:30 - right in the middle of Owen's nap, of course, so DH is working from home this afternoon and will take her in. Owen has diarrhea for an unknown reason - not horrible, but enough to be stinky and troublesome - and we have the spring family quarterly birthday party tomorrow in Sacramento (2hrs away in good traffic). :headache: Hopefully that will clear up or at least be manageable. The IL's want to get a photo of all the grandkids at one of those old time photo places. Sounds nice in theory, but how they're going to get 10 kids to sit still and cooperate while wearing costumes I have no idea. And I'm just picturing Owen pooping in the middle of everything... :scared:

Blech. So I've blathered on endlessly again....

Enough about me, how are all of you doing? Anyone with fun plans for the weekend?

Christina, how are you doing? Hang in there, I'm still praying for you and sending lots and lots of hopes and sticky baby dust your way!

Hi mrs.explorer - long time no see! How cute that Colin is saying "I love you!"

DMickey - Have you been to a doctor yet? You are in my thoughts & prayers.

Kara - did you play an April Fool's joke on your mom? My sister got me and I kind of want to kill her! :rotfl2: Did anyone ever find out who Amanda Z is? I saw the request in my e-mail, but I haven't had a chance to log into facebook since I can only do it from home.

Michelle - Will's daycare sounds like a great place!

clgwli - Yay on scheduling a WDW trip!

Bethany - That's good that Owen's PT appt went well and he may not need EI! Have fun this weekend!

Denise - how scary, but I'm glad you're all ok!

Amber - Alex loves Nutrigrain bars too (though I buy the generics from a local store).

Kelly - yay for nice weather! The temp is good here today (almost every day until June), but it is crazy windy! Too bad about losing the pool, I love swimming, but I don't want the risk of having a pool with Alex being so young.

Jen - Alex is like that with pictures too, always points at Daddy first, I'm not really sure why...

*****************
We finally got started on our back yard. So now it's not just a dirt lot. It's a dirt lot with trenches and sprinklers! We should have plants and grass by Monday or Tuesday, though. :thumbsup2

Alex has been saying "wassat sound?" all the time lately, seriously, like 20 times a day, every time he hears any sound at all. The other night we were cleaning up his toys and he said, "wassat sound?" but I didn't hear anything, so I said, "I don't know, Alex, I didn't hear anything."

His response..."That sound - Alex make a peebo!" followed by cackling laughter - Alex told his first joke! fyi - a "peebo" is Alex speak for the Spanish version of fart, so yes, my son's first joke was a fart joke. :headache: He's such a boy!

:lmao: That's hysterical!!! Love it! :rotfl2:

Owen already thinks burps are funny, and despite all of our attempts to teach him to say "excuse me" when he burps, he instead makes another burp noise (sometimes 2 or 3 times) and then laughs. And last night in his bath he farted and then said "wow! Bubbles! more?" I'll tell him Alex's joke - I'm sure Owen will be amused, too. ;)

Sara---yes I pulled a trick on my mom. I told her caleb crawled the night before and she goes "Aprils fools right??" UGGHHH!! She knew it was coming. What did your sister do to you??

TOo funny about Alex and his "Fart" joke! Caleb has been laughing at us when we had gas and had to burp...he thinks it is the funniest thing! The other day Trent burped...and Caleb mimiced him and burped too!:rotfl: Definitely they are boys!!:rotfl2:

Amanda Z is lilliananddomsmom.

Caleb had his 1st stage 2 food today! HE loved the berry berry bannana! He kept on smacking his lips. Dh and I were cracking up. He definitlely like it better than the garden veggies! :rotfl:
