Good morning ladies.

I am jealous of you guys getting snow- we've hardly had anything (except ice, which is obnoxious and dangerous and I have fallen twice). I really want to take Vaylie out to play in the snow, though!
DH is taking the lights off the house right now, and then we're going to go shopping. I have about $300 in Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket. I was going to buy a Dooney & Bourke purse, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a purse.

I'm too practical, I guess. But, I do need a new purse and a new pair of New Balances. And some bras. Eh- we'll see. I'm also thinking of saving it for my "backyard theater" that I'm wishing for. (I want to buy a projector and an inflatable movie screen to have like a "drive-in" in my back yard!!!)
My SIL is having a Premier Designs Jewelry Party on the 22nd. But good grief, that stuff is expensive. I picked out a really cute necklace- $54!! For ONE necklace, with nothing "real" on it. I told her I might just have to stick with a pair of earrings.

Personally, when I buy "everyday" jewelry- I usually go to NY&Co. or Lane Bryant, where it's always on sale and that way when I get sick of it, I don't care because I didn't pay a fortune for it. But, SIL will get a boatload of free stuff for having the party.

Bethany- Vaylie straddled the nap fence for a while, too. Some days she'd need two naps, other days just one. She has been consistently taking one nap a day since around 20 months. But before then, some days she'd take one loooong nap, or two short naps, and we never knew what the day would hold.
Pollito- I am going to try this: making a week of meal plans at a time, taking out a specific amount of cash for the grocery store, and then making a grocery list and sticking to it. We'll see how it works. And Vaylie is actually doing pretty good without the pacis now, although she still asks for them now and again- but she threw her last one away!

SO, I think we're over the worst of it. Oh, and my nephew is in EI speech and developmental therapy, and I think it has helped him a lot! He is speaking more, but he is able to sign for a lot of things that he can't say, so he's at least able to communicate. He has made a TON of progress!
kreile- that sucks about the van! It's annoying anyway, but even worse when you have a little one to transport! I'm glad you are both ok, though!
Everyone else- have a good day- stay safe and warm!
