Ash - i am sorry you are going through all this. hopefully the doctor will be able to get you in on Monday to take a look.
Amber - Alexander went through a phase like that as well and I just had to let him fuss through it. He is now in that phase again but he's a little older so he knows that I will come back and calms down faster. Somedays I can't even go into the bathroom without him banging on the door and screaming. He knows how to open the doors now too so that doesn't help!!
I can't believe that the twins are almost one!! It goes so incrediebly fast and only faster after 1. Alexander will be 18 months in a few weeks. Now if we can only get him to talk. EVERYTHING is NEEE ... he uses that 'word' or sound for everything. He says Fish with consistancy though!!
We are going on a cruise in two weeks without Alexander and i am starting to get nervous. He is really started a bit of seperation anxiety with me and he's old enough now that it's no longer 'out of sight, out of mind'. I am worried my mom is going to have a really hard time with naps and bedtime with him. He can be calmed 99% of the time from anything just by going outside so the daytime will be fine. Since we were all sick and my MIL is visiting so we are trying to get out of the house more and do things his schedule is all over the place. I have 10 days to get him back on schedule so hopefully he'll be good when my mom comes.

She never has had much separation anxiety.
We have the "Rhinocerous Tap" cd and "Philadelphia Chickens."
SO, a couple of days later, I go to my mom's and the 4 year old is walking around with her shirt half lifted and holding her doll. I said, "Whatchya doing, honey?" She replies, "I'm just bwestfeeding my baby."
We also like "Tickle Time" and "I love you more than cheese" from Rhinocerous Tap. DH and I used to sing the Chocolate Chip Cookie song from Philadelphia chickens (is that the name of the song? I can't remember) as a duet to quiet Owen down when he was really little, only we always got the words mixed up and ended up singing our own words about babies going to sleep...
I was cracking up, and I had to ask him what he was doing. Sam looked up at me, puts a hand on his hip, and says "I swear that child eats all the time! I never get anything done."
. Even my 6 year old. Is it bad when your six year old knows the world to "Talk dirty to me" from playing Guitar Hero
. Maybe I win the bad mom award today.
And isn't funny how you are SO concientious to feed you kid healthy food, but then when it comes to yourself-not so much. That's how I am. Vaylie is so darn picky though. And right now she's eating like a bird. She's too busy to eat anything that can't be carried around the house.
Vaylie has already said the naughty word for poop. And she used it appropriately- she spilled her goldfish and the next thing I heard was "****!" I felt slightly ashamed because I don't want a potty-mouthed toddler, but I was also, I admit, a teeny bit proud because she used it in the right context.

My mother took him out of the carseat and put him down on the driveway and looked away...he took 2 steps....tripped....and landed on his face. I was watching from the bay-window overlooking the driveway from my kitchen. Of course I freaked out at her - yelling, "You can't put him on the pavement like that!". He is still a very wobbly-walker, so falling is the norm around here lately. But, on the carpet, it's no big deal! He scraped his face pretty good around his nose and mouth, but is fine. Of course I have an appointment for Halloween pics at The Picture People on Wednesday...that will now have to be moved!!
He's got his first bout of diaper rash with all the messy diapers, and now he's not sleeping well for naps, either. At least overnight he's still sleeping fairly well. We're doing the BRAT diet for a few days to see if that helps.

Spencer is trying to walk while holding onto things, so there have been several falls. I am so scared he is going to hurt himself.
And he gave her a hug later! She hugged him back and they started rocking back and forth and almost fell over - it was so cute!
