Happy Easter everyone. We had a busy day yesterday. Got up early to head to my grandparents to pick them up for church. They live about 20 minutes from me but their church is 45 minutes from them. They moved a couple years ago but keep going back there so its a hike. Then we went to lunch with the extended family and they were having an egg hunt there so we took Noah out. He had no clue what was going on but after a little coaxing we did get him to grab a couple eggs. LOL I think next year he will defintely be more in the swing of things. I downladed some pics last night but haven't got them posted yet so I'll try to do that tonight on facebook and a couple here.

Now to go and catch up on what everyone was doing last weekend. I didn't manage to get on much at all to read up.

Hi everyone. We had a great Easter. We got up really early to get to the 830 church service and get Brycen home in time for a nap. My dad had lunch at his house and we had an egg hunt.

The EB delivered a basket to our backdoor, after eating the carrots we left out, and Brycen was so excited. He got a few books, a huge box of chalk, Goldfish, and fruit snacks. We also visited his GG (great-grandma) and Dh's family. The dog snarled at Brycen because he tried to grab its tail. I get it, but man I don't like that dog. He thinks your leg is his best friend.

k_reile cute pictures! Creepy about the Facebook guy. My sister is always trying to get me to join. We had pictures done at Walmart and the salesman came over to me and said, "So, do you ever karaoke? My GF and I spent 3 hours singing last night with American Idol." What was that!?!

Mel I'm glad Colin's diaper rash is better. Bry had the yeast kind once and they gave him Nystatin (sp). It cleared it up in a few days and we've been pretty lucky since. One bit of redness and I break out the 3 in 1 cream.

JennyL Bry picked up the sticks right next to the eggs. DH had to coax him into picking them up.

Ash Did you get Ellery's Eeyore costume at Disney Store? We had a Thumper! LOL We ended up returning it because it was so hot and bulky.

Note for EB. Eating a carrot? Good thing I had the camera!

Check out my basket, mom!

Hey ladies! Glad to hear everyone had a great Easter!! The pics are too cute of everyone's kids! :goodvibes

Christina - The Cozy Coupe doesn't work all that well on the carpet - and we even have a flat, berber carpet. I feel like the wheels are just hard-to-spin in general. Hopefully after it wears-in a bit it will be better!

Mel - We will be down there the same time! I will be with my entire family - 9 of us! We have never stayed at the VWL - it looks really nice over there. We always talk about staying there, but then ultimately decided that it's too much like home, and that we would perfer less "woodsy" surroundings. ;) We've never stayed at AKL either (even though we own at Kidani!). We usually always choose the BWV or BCV. Our original deed is at Vero, and we added-on this past Sept. at Kidani.

ShootingStar - OMG LOVE the pic of Brycen in the Thumper outfit! Those cheeks are just adorable!

*********************************************************

Ugggg....so Brady was up all night last night. I thought he had an ear infection, but after a ped visit today, that was ruled out. He has a strange red rash on his bum, and also irritation in his cheeks and throat. And a bad fever - today it was up to 102.2 during the day. The ped seems to think it is a virus, which stinks because it will just have to run it's course. He is sleeping now (8:30) but I am bracing for him to wake up any hour. I just hate sick kiddos.

Love the photos everyone!

Kelly, I hope Brady feels better; poor little thing.

Spencer liked his presents (he got a dino bookbag, Little People Easter set, and some books).

He had a great time doing the egg hunt; I put some pictures on Facebook. We had to "hide" the eggs again, because he was having so much fun.

Today, he jumped up and down and landed right back on his feet! :yay: I was very impressed.

Hi everyone! All the Easter pics are adorable!

We brought Christopher to my parents on Saturday so he could hunt for Easter eggs with them. He had fun looking for the first few, then decided it was way cooler to run up and down the ramp on their porch. So, Mommy and Daddy got to play Easter Egg Pickup ;)

I worked yesterday, so DH brought him to his family's Easter egg hunt. He chased a few around, but decided to go play on the slide instead.

Apparently he's boycotting Easter :lmao:

I don't have the cozy coupe but the fire truck version and it works pretty good on our carpet. Of course Noah doesn't really sit in it to move he stands behind it and pushes it everywhere. LOL

Hi Ladies

Glad to hear everyone's easters were great. We had a nice low key one - dinner at my BIL's. All the Easter Bunny brought Izzy was some crayons and a Baby Bjorn Potty!!! Is that the equivalent to coal on xmas - a potty!! But the Easter Bunny also stopped at both grandma's houses and brought lots of clothes, stuffed animals, and books. So she made out all right!

Love the pix of everyone's kiddos. I will post a pix of Izzy as soon as I find time to download the camera. I bought her the most beautiful easter dress-- she looked like a little princess!

Things are crazy for us right now as our house is going on the market on Friday and the realtor is coming tomorrow to take pictures. So tonight, in addition to visiting my mom at the hospital (she just had surgery and is doing good) I then have to get home and clean up the house (vac, dust, bathrooms) in prep for tomorrow.

Busy busy busy...

Have a good day all!

-Nicole

Question for you ladies...

We bought another pack n play for upstairs since Allison won't sleep in the bassinet and I am not ready to put her in the crib yet. Anyway, it has a strong odor to the mattress- can't really explain what it smells like (DH thinks it smells like vicks vapor rub). I have tried airing it outside, in the basment with a fan blowing on it and now I have it outside with baking soda sprinkled on it... I am trying to avoid using any cleaning products (I had thought about frebreeze).

So, do you guys have any ideas? Has anyone else had this problem?
I am considering returning it for another one.
We do have another PnP downstairs but it aired out for a good month or two before Allison was born.

I don't recall our PnP having any odor at all to it. I'd just return it ASAP. I wonder if someone used it a few times with a sick kid, hence the vicks smell.

Kelly - I am sorry Brady isn't feeling good. There is nothing worse then when they don't feel good.

I love all the Easter pictures, here and on FB. I am sorry I am not doing well at personals right now! I am trying to clean up the house, catch up on Laundry and get ready to leave for Myrtle Beach. DH has this idea that he is going to be able to stretch out in the back seat and watch a movie with Alexander while I am driving. Little does he know, I NEED to pack the backseat. There isn't enough room with the seat up for everything. I need a bigger car!!

Alexander is going through a very wierd sleeping phase. For the last two weeks, a few nights a week he will wake up between 1-4AM and just babble and laugh to himself. Two nights ago he was up from 4AM to 7AM just talking and laughing and fell back to sleep. I got him up at 10AM. He barely napped yesterday and went down to bed like normal at 8PM but was up until 12AM talking and laughing to himself. It's very odd. He got up at a normal time today and I am going to make sure his nap is no longer than 2.5 hours so maybe we can get back to normal. It's very odd ... he is a little crankier during the day so I know he needs the rest but I can't figure out why he is laughing and talking so much.

Ash - I am glad her rash is better! Did she really do the Easter Egg Hunt? I was going to hide some Eggs for Alex but I honestly didn't think he'd know to look for them. Our friends got him this automatic bubble maker that shoots out hundreds of bubbles at a time .. He loves it!!

Yeah she found 4 all by herself! Most of them we would point out to her and then she would go get them. She had a really good time. She's actually still playing with her plastic eggs and basket.

Ash Did you get Ellery's Eeyore costume at Disney Store? We had a Thumper! LOL We ended up returning it because it was so hot and bulky.

I actually got it from a yard sale for $0.25, which was good because she was too big for it by Halloween. She was Snow White on Halloween,

Well I got my test results back.... Good news and bad news. Good news is that the test that I was worried about I passed with a score of 180 (passing score is 158) Bad news is that the test I wasn't so worried about, the essay test, I didn't pass by 5 points. So I have to take that again and can't look for work until I've passed both. So I probably won't get a job next year, but I don't know if I would have any way because no one is hiring and teachers are getting laid off a lot here since our governor is refusing to take the stimulus money. I've applied for substitute teaching jobs but no one is hiring those right now either. I'm working on getting my soap business going, so I'll see how that goes. Soap and lip balm and stuff is really fun to make, but I don't know if I'll be able to sell it. And the deferment has run out on my student loans. :sad2:

sorry to hear about your test...but yeah for passing the one...I guess thats one less that you have to take!

Oh...and Caleb has slept through the night (meaning that if he has woken up and yelled) that I have not heard him two nights in a row! :woohoo::yay::cool1: Hopefully this will last at least until the next tooth coming in really starts to bother him..which there is the top one coming in now. Kids gonna have a mouth full by the time he is a year (and doc said normal is 6 teeth) He has the same amount of teeth as his almost 16 mos old cousin but cousin will probably have better teeth since his took so long to come in. ;)

Sounds like everyone had a great Easter! We tried egg dying with Alex - he thought it was a lot of fun, and only cracked 3 eggs! Which was pretty much how many he touched. :rotfl: He also had a great time hunting for eggs. I "hid" a few right in the middle of the yard so he could find them easily, then the rest in slightly harder spots by trees & bushes, etc. By the end he was digging in the bushes looking for them! I'll post pics on Facebook later after I download them from the camera.

I ended up taking Alex to the pediatrician on Friday night and he had a slight ear infection, so now he's taking an antibiotic. He was really well behaved at the doctor and I was so surprised since he was a little monster just 2 months ago at his check up. I think he liked this NP better than his regular doctor, and she was really good with him, so maybe I'll ask for her next time instead of changing practices like I was thinking of doing since his doctor is so weird. The office is less than a mile from my house and has evening and weekend hours without an appointment, so it is so convenient and I am hesitant to change practices, maybe just doctors.

I should probably have taken myself to a doctor too, because the cold settled in my chest and my asthma is out of control now. Luckily my last doc gave me an emergency prescription for prednisone, so I started taking that on Sunday night and am breathing a little better.

Be back with personals! :goodvibes

Nicole - glad you got the drama with your SIL settled, and great news on the TTC! :goodvibes So funny that Izzy got a potty for Easter! :lmao:

Ash - sorry to hear about the test, doesn't that just kill you to miss by such a small amount? I just keeping thinking if only I had answered one little question differently...

Kara - cute Easter pics, and that is totally weird on the salesguy trying to friend you on Facebook.

Mel - what is an egg trail? Is it the same as an egg hunt? Hopefully Colin's rash keeps getting better!

Kelly - poor Brady being sick again!

Amber - Alex loved his egg hunt, too, and kept asking for more eggs even after he found all 20 that I "hid". :goodvibes

Meredith - Sam & Zoe look so cute in their Easter outfits!

Jen - too funny at boycotting Easter! :rotfl2:

hotveggy - that is really weird with the pnp and I haven't heard of that either. If it was new, I would definitely return it.

DMickey - No way would I let DH chill in the backseat while you make a drive like that, even if you don't need to pack the back seat! Alex sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night calling for one of us, and lately if I go in, he will sit down, start crying, "No I want Daddy!" Then I go back to bed, and Daddy goes in to check on him and ends up bringing him back to our bed. Hmm, wonder why he wants Daddy? :confused3

Hi to anyone I missed!

Pollito - Seriously, what's up with that? DH is not my favorite person right now but he does the same thing. He always asks when DS cries at night "Want me to go get him?". NO I DON"T ... we can't just go get him. That's not how it works. Drives me nuts. He is so paranoid when DS cries, climbs or does anything it's beginning to drive me up a wall.

At least your DH asks if you want him to go get him!! Mine sleeps right through...snoring away! Never hears him, MIL says FIL was (is) the same way...heavy sleeper. The phone is on DH side and people will call and he will not hear it...I have to climb over him to answer the phone. Who knows why I haven't moved it....its only been 5 yrs!:confused3

I only got 4 hrs of sleep last night...and its not Caleb...i just could not sleep at all. Dh went into work late this AM bc he was up til 2:30am doing our taxes. Course its totally his fault cause he did not get home til 11pm! ANd I got less sleep and I was at work by 9am(normal starting time)

Oh and speaking of taxes...I have someone come and in clean for me twice a month. Well I knew she weeded out my pile of junk on my countertop and threw away the junk mail. Well apparently there were tax documents in the pile that were in envelopes and we think she threw them away. She said she didn;t but who knows. We just know they were not there and I had to scramble yesterday to get new copies of them...Luckily I was able to get new copies. Course DH didn;t realize they were missing until Mon night when he wanted to finish the taxes (he originailly had them done a while ago but his harddrive fried up and we had to buy a new computer and they were on the old one) Man was he MAD! I almost lost my cleaning lady...now i just keep everything picked up that I do not want accidently thrown away. When I say gather my trash...I mean out of my trashcan!

Well I hope you ladies have a nice tax day! LOL!! The government loved us this AM when we paid our owed money!:headache:

Hi everyone,

Happy Wednesday. DH is working tonight so it's just me and Brycen for the rest of the day. He's taking his nap so I thought I would stop by and say hello. I hope the PO is overly busy tonight. They owe me!

For the last few days I've noticed that our mail has been a little strange. One day we might get all junkmail and ads with no 'real' mail and the next day nothing. On the third day we'd get at least 10 pieces of 'real' mail all rubberbanded together. Today, lucky me, there was the Easter flower order form for our church. It was supposed to be delivered mid-March as the orders were due by April 5th. I called to tell the PO what was going on. I said I hadn't gotten my mortgage or any utilities and mail that was postmarked was at least 2-3 weeks late. I called and they've all been sent already so I had to request duplicates. The PO master just said he'd talk to the carrier tomorrow and see what's going on. He also suggested that our neighbors had the mail for that long and forgot to give it to us. What reason would they have for doing that? For real? Maybe try sorting the mail correctly when you get it instead of losing it for weeks and blaming my neighbors.

Sorry for the vent. Brycen and I had lunch with DH right before all this happened, so at least we had a nice date. I can't wait for the weekend! ;)

Hi Ladies! :) Just wanted to stop in and say a quick hi to everyone. I've been able to read all the posts but don't have time to reply this week. Just crazy busy with all kinds of stuff. Isn't it funny how one week will be calm and the next crazy?! :confused3

So Hi! And I'm thinking of all of you... :goodvibes

I am going to jump back on this thread...I tried to keep posting periodically..

Here is my latest story :cool1:

Caleb Joseph arrived 4/16 5:40 pm
9lbs 14.5 oz 21 inches
He was premature he was born at 36 weeks 5 days.

Story:

I was having contractions at work about 10 minutes apart. I called MD at 12:00. Went to hospital to be checked. They moved to 5 minutes before I got there, about 1/2 an hour drive, then 2-3 minutes while I was being monitored.

He kept watching me for a little bit as I wasn't dilated, but I don't that's why I had my first csection. But he said it was like I wasn't even pregnant...go figure.

So he watched for another 1/2 an hour, but got me ready, IV, labs, etc. He checked head position and it hurt. Head was right at my incision scars from my other 2. At that point he said, no choice if the incisions were sore, he had to take me. Contractions weren't getting any better w/hydration and now risk tearing incision.

I was in OR within 10 minutes. It took 20 minutes to get to baby due to scar tissue from other 2 csections I had so much fluid when he broke thru, the fluid went all the way to the wall. I know, probalby TMI, but that's just crazy.

I was in about an hour after cleaning up all of the adhesions, I had a ton. Now onto baby. He was good when he was born about 1-2 hours later he started to have trouble breathing. They put the hood on him and it really wasn't helping. 12midnight the call was made to mass general to have him transported. the team was here before 1am and they ran tests, decided to intubate him before they went. Then they did xray to check tube placement and he had pneumothorax and partially collapsed lung. MD came down to me, discussed and put in chest tube. So with all the work they did to stabalize him it was 5 am when they brought him in to see me before he went off via ambulance to Boston.

He had his chest tube removed about 10pm yesterday. They were playing with his oxygen all day today to make sure he could tolerate not having the respirator and at about 7:30pm he decided he was done w/it and pulled it out!! So, I talked to them about 45 minutes after that and he was doing great. He had a feeding tube in, which he was getting sugar water in. They removed that and were going to feed him some formula. They need to watch him there for 24 hours before he can come back here. There is a level 2 nursery here, so he can come back here once cleared from respirator status.

I'm here until Monday, but if he isn't ready, yet...I can stay as a "border" and stay on the ward and just wont have the nursing care. No biggie, as long as I can be with him. It's been tough being here and he's in Boston. My hubby goes in and spends the entire day with him, visiting me before and after.

So there's my story...long story but it's been a tough couple of days, but he's strong. He must look very strange in the NICU being a premie and being born almost 10lbs... I do make big babies. He peed 4 times in the OR before they weighed him. He probably would have been 10 lbs if they had weighed him right away, but they had the specialist all ready in OR to check him out knowing he was early.

ETA: He was born on what would have been my grandfathers 85th birthday. My entire family said he was going to be born that day from the day they found out I was pregnant....

So now I have my 3 sons... Tyler 7.5, Brady 2 and Caleb "CJ" 2 days :cool1: Did I mention I have 2 male dogs and my hubby, I'm way out numbered.

Stacy...wow...I'd hate to see what he would weigh if he went full term wow! Now we have to Calebs here! Sorry to hear all the drama with his birth but I am glad he is going well too.

I am outnumbered here too! With DH, Caleb and the Dog Rusty...I am surrounded by males. THe only females are the cats but they are outside! I hope when we would have baby #2 that it would be a girl so I can have someone in my corner but my luck I'll probably get another boy and thats ok too...

Caleb is now holding his bottle on his own. I can feed him his food and then hand him the bottle and I can get something else done...or like this am lay on the couch while he took his bottle in the car seat beside me.:lmao:

I took him shopping with me yesterday so I can find something to wear for my 2 interviews on Wed...I decided I was done with my current job and need something else. I had an interview early thurs am before work and I go back for a 2nd interview on Wed afternoon but I also have a 1st interview with my old place of employment Wed am...so we'll see I hope the one I am going back for the 2nd inteview works out more. It is in the same town as I work now and will be easier with dropping Caleb off with Grandma. Well and of course I hope better pay and benefits bc I actually forgot to ask in the 1st interview bc the girl interviewing me knew DH aunt and sister so we talked alot about them so after I left I realized i never asked. :rotfl:

Anyways on the shopping...he did really well. We were gone for about 6 hrs and he slept on the way over but woke up when we got there and finally crashed for about a half hour 5 hrs later in kohls. He ate and then flirted with the older ladies as they walked by and they all had to come over and gobble him all up!:rotfl2: HE was hungry on the way home so he didnlt sleep but never fussed either. He ate as soon as we got home and got his nighttime bottle and off to bed he went and was out instantly!

Have a good rest of your Sunday! I've got some more laundry to do and then I am headed to my moms so we can work on the bridal shower invitations for my friend that I really need to get done!
