The New Misfit Island Resort, make your reservation today!

Might I suggest reading material that actually has real merit to it? Including fiction.... if you have not read Bram Stokers Dracula, I highly suggest doing so for starters.

Maybe someday. I do read a lot of fiction, but not typical fiction. I know The Lorax, pretty well.

New blog is up. :) Now I'm off to dinner with a few friends.

Loved reading the new blog and glad that you got those digs. Hope you enjoyed your dinner.

Bummer :sad2: well hope you can catch it later if you want to see it!

I saw these shoes and I think I need them!

Those are very cute kermits! BTW - Some 3D friends and I were chatting today and they were telling me some 'definitions' of words.

What's the definition of cute?

Turns out...it means.....ugly but cute. I really don't think I should have called Kermit cute....:lmao:

And for the guys....go check out the definition of 'dude'.

I often use dude in the proper and slang term.

Slang perhaps from time spent on the West Coast where Americans surf culture evolved.

Proper because I know a lot of cowboys and see their opposites often.

Those are awesome!

Awesome new post! :woohoo: congratulations on everything coming together and becoming real! :goodvibes

Thanks!!!

I am trying to figure something out here, being how does one go from being a caregiver in AZ to a CM at Dl in Ca? Am I missing something here or what? And no.... I do not normally read blogs, so don't re-direct me there, for it ain't gonna happen. Did this move entail any cycling to Ca? I would imagine one's legs would be very tired from all of that peddling.

I went out on a limb and applied, got an online interview, then got an in person interview last Monday where they offered me the job. I was in Anaheim yesterday for paperwork and I make the move next Friday the 25th. Cycling had nothing to do with it; I'm actually giving up racing for the best team in Arizona to take the next season off to get acclimated to the job and California. Though my bike is coming along and I hope to ride it in my free time.

Hope dinner was good and fun. I'm off to read your blog now.

Thanks! Chicken, rice, chips and homemade salsa. :)

Loved reading the new blog and glad that you got those digs. Hope you enjoyed your dinner.

Thanks!

I'm glad you all enjoy reading it, like I said in the heading of my latest I ramble on a bit. I'm sure there will be a mega blog next Saturday or Sunday night detailing my weekend of Traditions and Park Operations trainings; hopefully more insightful and less about me being a spaz. ;)

Good luck in Ca, for I was born and raised here, and it is extremely expensive to live here. People normally move out of this state for a job, not move here. So I don't get it? Are there no jobs where you live? Is unemployment worse where you are, in comparison to Ca? What this state has is too many low paying jobs, and not enough real jobs. This state has big problems, I hope that you realize that.

Thanks! I was applying like crazy around here and the only place that wanted to hire me was Target for 8/hr seasonal. Though I'm only making a bit more at DL it's more about the experience to me. I have some money saved up to help offset a bit of the cost and I don't plan on living like a king. However I get to work for Disney and though it may be more challenging than staying in Arizona it's an experience that I can't turn down.

Nothing wrong with Target either. I love Target. The move does not make for a financially viable choice. One stays where they live, earn X, or go to the expense of moving out of state for slightly above X, and that is suppose to be a good choice? Only way I can see that as being the case is if one moves up the ladder of success, otherwise no.

That sounds great. Is there on street parking or enough driveway for the cars? I'd assume you will have 3 cars there altogether.

It's "street" parking, not really a street, but the paved paths of the complex.

I think I know what you mean, having been down Walnut before. Will you have a resort view from your window?
