Welcome back to everyone who just returned.

We are really getting excited about our AKL trip.

We watched the Disney holiday special on the Travel Channel the other day. Did anyone else get to see it? All of the resorts looked so beautiful.

Has anyone heard from GoofySuse? Didn't she just go to WL CL on the Gold Plan? I was anxious to hear how it went because she encountered some problems before the trip.

Goofy's Muse - OK, nothing like starting off my day with a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes! What a wonderful story. Between you and Tammi, I'm going to keep the kleenex box next to the computer! It sounds like you had a fantastic time and bless Velvet's heart. How great for your kids to see that kind of generosity and to meet someone who went way beyond the call of duty. That memory will stay with them always - and now that you've shared it with us, we all get to benefit, too! Thanks!

I need some help! I went to upload my digital pictures and I found that all the pictures on the 2nd chip (about 100) were all deleated. I think that on the last day Zac was taking pictures of us and must of deleated them. So the last 3-4 days of pictures are gone. What is most upseting was the pictures of the flag retreate on Dec 2nd are all gone. So any one that has any pictures of AKL (trees, entrance sign,lounge ect) would like to share please PM me for E-Mail address. I would like them for our memory book. But you know - I might have to plan another trip for next year to take more pictures

What should I do?

I was sitting here today and received a call from Julia at the GF Marina.

She said "I'm calling about your Grand One reservation for Christmas Eve."

What????

I completely forgot that I called her at the 90 day mark (during Hurricane Frances) and left a message regarding availability.

Should we do it? Wishes is at 10pm and we have the Sunrise Safari the next morning. Our kids are pretty good about staying up late.

I'm going to call her back tomorrow with my answer.

Gosh, floridafam... it sounds like a once-in-a-lifetime combination to me! Our kids would have no problems with the staying-up-late part... the wake-up part would be another story entirely! LOL BUT... it IS Christmas morning and even in our house of teen and pre-teen sleepyheads, they seem to rise to the occasion on Christmas morning. Good luck with your decision!

Steffy and johnsonet... If memory serves, I think your trips are just around the corner... right? Here's hoping you both have a magical trip with your loved ones! Anyone else leaving soon? I feel like the lounge needs one of those flight control displays to keep track of the comings and goings of everyone!

Floridafam I have to say, personally, I would pass on the cruise. If you were staying at an MK resort - Yes- but AKL is quite a trek from GF especially late on Christmas Eve when you have little ones .
I would rest up so that you can be sure to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for your Sunrise Safari!

I am thinking we are going to pass on the cruise. You are right. We are going to need all of our energy for Christmas Day.

We are going in May and staying at WL so maybe I will try and arrange a cruise for then.

If I had the cruise for NYE, I woud not cancel.

Good Morning Lizards, Just running in for a quick cup of mmmmmm cappucinno.

Trying to get ready for our trip to Northern Wisconsin. Our tree is up, the yard is decorated and we are in the process of wraping gifts and sending cards. Boy, I am really behind this year! Hows the weather up in the North Mid-West? Anyone? We are leaving on December 23rd and I'm taking my heavy coat and long underware.

Hey, samnbilly! Glad you popped in! Thought of you and all the other GF lovers here during our whirlwind trip last weekend. What a beautiful resort!

And if any of you are "Red Hat Society" fans, did they ever have a great time at the GF! We saw many members both at our GFC lunch as well as our "garden tea". DD13 just loved the red fishnet stockings, party shoes, elaborate hats, etc. I now know for sure what I want to be when I grow up...

*waving* Just walked in the door and about to walk right back out again for a hockey game. Weather? It is snowing. It is gray, what else? How far "northern" Wis? We have a cabin up in the UP on Whitefish Point. If you are WAY north, expect more snow than down here in north detroit/mid-Michigan!

Lots of safe traveling PD for Johonset et al! I really would love ot be a fly on that wall when your DD gets her drums! She can call to the animals! That sunrise safari on Christmas Day will be quite the event! Make sure you mention to her that the animals talk on Christmas Eve!

Angel>> Just remember... snow happens! It doesn't matter how late you are or what time you get there... going slow is the key! *I say this after snow squalls hit I75 so badly on my way home that all three lanes disappeared! It really hasn't been that cold up here, but if you're not used to it I am sure that long underwear will come in handy! Take your Mickey slippers, too!

Big wave to everyone that we make it through this week! One more day and I am off for two weeks! I get to be a mom/wife/hockey manager... ONLY! WOOO HOOO!
