ik last night we did fast pass for wishes cause I wanted to shoot it. The new area is very nice. U can really spread out. Looks nice. Good idea on paper.

Our area wasn't crowded. Everyone could easily sit down and actually watch the castle show on the ground and the fireworks while sitting. That would be a very relaxed Disney. Birdie eu wants u tense and on ur feet. No sitting. The patrol was on that. Standing room only. This makes no sense at all. Everyone is already sitting and wants to sit after a full hot day. Would ha e been perfect but everyone listened and got up so I had to also. Go ahead and tell me it's for safety cause it's dark. It's not that dark. Watch where u are walking or pushing a stroller and u won't hit anyone. It's not that hard. That was the first hing that sucked and made no sense.

Second thing and it's my fault in a way. We settled in and I went to get ice cream. No problem until I had to cross during parade. No more crossing. I had to move along and keep moving. All one ways now and u can't chill even though I tried to explain I had three melting ice creams and couldn't hold it all. They made me walk around in a circle till it was over. Finally a cast memeber saw what I was doing and let me stand by her. Ok so lesson learned. If u want hot dogs sit on Casey side. If u want ice cream sit on other side. Lol. It is deff more organized but it hinders u in some way. I would rather fight and push my way through to get to where I want to go. It was easier getting out though. Lol

So look nice. Great idea. patrol is standing room only. Also the cast members directing traffic are hit and miss with being very very rude! I should have just dropped my melting three ice creams and said u clean it up now but my luck the rude cast member would make the nice one that actually cared clean it up. Karma. It comes around.

For the photo buffs out there that fast pass area will work for u to not be dressed with a tripod. Setup in front of a topiary so no one steps on ur tripod and hits it. Those poles are brutal though. I like the lamps. They look nice but the lights for effects on the other poles are ugly and just in the way.

Btw. What are the new building they r making in the hub? They are concrete with a door and a ton of conduit so I assume something for castle lighting and fireworks probably?

So people can flame me about the standing and safety but anyone with a sense of intelegence can move through there and not hot someone.

Disney people want to sit in there! I know they do. U just won't let them!

It's different reports as far as standing and sitting. I've done it two or three times and have sat each time with no problem. If you're near the front of the FP area by the gate, you'll be standing. If you're near the back, you can sit and have plenty of room.

As far as getting snacks. They don't let anyone cross while the parades going for safety reasons and to keep it clear for the floats and performers. If you go after the parade is over, which is a little closer to wishes, there's no issue crossing the street or getting any snacks. We do the Tomorrowland Side Wishes FP and had no trouble getting some stuff from Caseys corner about 20 min before wishes

I'm with you on the standing thing. I told my daughter she could continue to sit if she wanted, but once everyone else stood up she sort of needed to.

I never did FP for FW viewing when it was in the Rose Garden. But one of the things I heard over and over that made me interested was how much people loved laying down after a long day and watching the show.

So........ knowing what you know now....... would you do it again?

I think I probably would, but only because people are squeezed in slightly less than out in the street and I had less interference with my tripod.

You deff can sit if u want even though they tell u not to but u are forced to stand to see anything cause others stand. That's the prob. Don't tell people to stand and they won't and all is good. Lol

Would I do it again. Yes deff for people like us who like to shoot and cause it can be relaxing if u position urself right. We had to stand cause I had a girl with light up ears in front of us who was more concerned with selfies of herself in the dark. She took like 40 of herself. Lol

The back rail area can be good if u have no one in fro t of you for 10 feet. U can deff sit if hey stand. Just do t line urself up with the castle rift in front of u. Go off to side.

Not loving the use of the term "nazi" to refer to CMs...

Otherwise, I appreciate the review of the FP viewing spot. Trying to decide if we should do it or not. I like the idea of not being squished in a crowd
