Like "Ow-Lawn-ee"
You do pronouce all letters, but the sound a+u makes is "ow", unless there is a ' (glottal stop, I forget the Hawaiian term, I think it's 'okina) in which case you do pronouce all vowels. So if it was A'ulani it would be "A-oo-lawn-ee" I think.
Normally in the HI language each and every vowel is pronounced. It should be A - U - Lan - i
That's what I thought too but in an article from Yesterland it says it should be pronounced like "Maui" so OW - lon - ee or ow - LON - ee ??

Still sounds like ow-lawn-ee to me LOL. The A-U together is quick and similiar to the sound in Maui. You don't say Mah-a-u-ee, it has the "ow" sound. Maybe we can argue how to pronounce my street...Waipuilani LOL...
