My fav bath bombs from the GF Basin are
calm waters
I didnt care for wild palms but its a scent that grows on you!
Not floral and its a really clean scent.
Paradise is my all time fav one!!!

Savannah is a pink sugar girl all the way!

Dave thinks we are nuts and he can't stand it when the tub is slippery after we get out :rotfl2:

My DD and I are planning a time to go and get some pink sugar bath bombs! I think we're going to miss staying at the GF this time around (I was outvoted:confused: ) but at least I'll get to visit it and walk around!:) We've only been to the regular Basin at DLR, so we're really looking forward to Basin White -- the scents just sound so much more like things we would like.:)

I am getting so excited for my stay at GF now that I can shop in Basin right in my hotel. :woohoo: It is kind of weird we have been coming to Disney since I was a little girl. In the 70's we always stayed at CR so I was always drawn to that hotel. As an adult my favorite so far has been CL at AKL and BWI. Hated WL and BC. YC was OK. Poly I really have no interest in. I didnt really have an interest in GF but, now I am so stoked. My DH gave me a trip for my 40th birthday present and our 17th anniversary. They are just a few days apart so you know i was pissed at my crappy anni gift until he sprung this trip on me. LOL. I love this thread everyone has so much knowledge. I would totally be doing CL but we just came back from a trip 4 months ago and dont have the funds for that kind of trip and DH booked all this on his own. He has always wanted to stay at GF and never told me. I am so happy he chose the hotel because I probably would have picked CR and I am so happy to be staying at GF. OK enough of my gushing. But I am getting so excited now that the trip is getting so close! If all my questions drive you all nuts you have permission to tell me to shut up.:rotfl:

AW!! Have a great time!! I didn't know it was a 40th bday trip!!! I had mine there, too.:goodvibes It was my best birthday ever.:thumbsup2

We used to be big time CR fans too!! :cool1: My 18 yr old basically grew up there....we would go for 2 and 3 wks at a time...when he was a baby. It is still HIS favorite.;)

You were nice to me & I really appreciate that!:rotfl: Ask away!!! THANKS for being on this thread....we love nice peeps.:goodvibes

YOu will have a wonderful time....that is neat your husband booked it for you.:lovestruc

Got a question for all of you wonderfully wise people...

I usually go Garden View... and I just might do that this time too...

BUT... they are showing availability for a TOWER LODGE ROOM... not club level... are these rooms in the regular buildings???

& I know... I have to go search for pics... but if you have a link... I'd love it...

Thanks everyone!!!

I think I'm the only one still up (we're on PT) so I'll try to answer you. They are rooms that are bigger than a standard room. Kind of like a regular room with an extra space as a sitting area. They are located in the outer buildings, and I am not sure if all of them have balconies or not. Hopefully someone who knows more will answer you tomorrow.

I will add that we booked one once (it even showed on our printout) but when we arrived at the GF they told us we had booked a regular room instead. There was some kind of mix-up between CRO and the GF, and we didn't get the lodge tower room. They did give us a great corner room in Boca Chica with 2 balconies and a view of the castle. That was a few years back, so hopefully they have fixed that problem.

Thanks!!! I wasn't sure what they would be like in the regular rooms... not like I really need it... but the company is paying for it this time and I'm wondering if I should try and talk them into letting me go club level or something... I've never done it... but I like the outer buildings so I think I might like Sugar Loaf...(I've only ever stayed in Conch Key) and I have to be there for 2 weeks because I will be spending a week at the classes at the Disney Institute...

Oh... so many decisions... :woohoo:

The lodge tower rooms are located in all the lodge buildings. They include all of the features of a standard room plus a separate sitting area, with additional furniture, TV and phone. There are views of the pool and courtyard out of five windows, as well as a separate balcony - except on the top floors. hope this helps :)

LOL! My anniversary is the day before my birthday so i totally know what you mean! I got married young and did not think about the consequences.....and Christmas is just a few weeks after so i totally get the 3 in 1 gifts :sad2:

This year is our 10th and we are trying to plan a little get away too! I think we are either looking at the YC or GF GV or even WL. BUt of course the guilt and pressure of Christmas creeps up and I think about using that money for the kids.

Can someone tell me if they have the new mugs at the gf yet? We arrive on March 5 and I so want one of the new designs lol! Anyone know yet?

Tink Rules Two weeks at the GF!!! Lucky you...:yay: ...If you are spending two weeks there I bet a lodge tower room be great with the extra space...

The extra sitting area has a sofa, a chair and an extra TV....I think it would be nice working space...

On the first page of this thread Alicnwndrln has posted some pics of a lodge tower room...(near the bottom of the page)

Enjoy your trip...:)

Allisonswonderland...sorry no clue here about the mugs....:confused3

Mandy Take the trip...its nice to have some couple time every once in a while...even a night or 2 is worth it....:goodvibes...guess where I think you should stay....

They were not in Gaspies when we where there the 6-9th........ BUT that is a eternity ago when it comes to product turn over at WDW!

I was wondering if someone could tell me what the bus service was like? When we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, a couple of times the bus called in at the GF on the way to the parks. It would already be quite full leaving the WL and there always seemed to be lots of people waiting at the GF stop. There were quite a few times when people weren't able to get on the bus at GF and had to wait for another one.

We don't plan on visiting many parks during our GF stay and if we want to head over to MK we'll take the boat but is it a bad idea to try and leave the GF using the buses?

Mando I am sure you will have a great time no matter you decide!
The YC is nice if you are gonna spend time at Epcot I love walking there in the morning. THe WL is nice and romantic but the rooms are on the small side.

This is my own personal experience but the Disney bus system STINK BIG TIME!!!
It seems every time I use one something bad happens to me.
This could just be plain bad luck but because every experience I have had has been BAD ... I always take a cab to the parks.

The cab to AK is around $20
The cab to DHS is around $15

I take the monorail to epcot and MK

Oh Mandy I think you should go! That would be great! Get that room that K likes and be out of the way....or YC is nice...I like that place, too! :goodvibes

I agree that the lodge tower rooms would be great for an extended stay! Enjoy!

Michelle, the lodge tower rooms are located in all the outer lodges...they are the rooms where you see the turrets. They are all garden courtyard views.

Thanks!!!
