Hi Channing,

Do you know if any of these are wheelchair accessible? We have booked a TPV wheelchair accessible for our stay in March and I have been trying to guess which building we will be in. I would love, love, love to get upgraded to RPC! :yay:
Thanks,
Rama

Rama...OK..I have info but I need help deciphering it...

I have the rooms grouped into "Accessible Roll-in Showers"...and then there are "Accessible Tub Rooms"...and then LOTS of the following...."Special Accessibility Rooms for Guests (w/bathtub handrails)"

Just for your RPC maybe upgrade...here's this info because it's easy lol...otherwise..tell me what type of room you prefer and I can narrow down the info...
In the main building....room 4419 - which is a deluxe room with a courtyard view has a rollin shower. Rooms 4022 beach pool view, 4209 (king room) with castle view, 4322, 4422, and 4424 have the "special accessibility Rooms for guests (with the bathtub handrails) these last rooms have lagoon, beach pool views..very pretty.:)

Let me know if you need/prefer a roll in shower or a accessible tub room....and I will see what the possibilities are.:thumbsup2

I LOVE PINK SUGAR!!! It is my absolute favorite.:goodvibes

GF GAL all the way!:)

Channing,

Oh, thank you so much! I have tried to piece together information from here and there to come up with an answer, without much success. Here is what we have confirmed from the special needs department.....

Grand Floridian
2 queen beds
daybed

roll-in shower
may be upper floor

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :cheer2:

We are really looking forward to our first stay at the Grand! :lovestruc
Oh and did I mention I would love, love, love to get an upgrade to RPC? HeeHee (I know I did!)

Thanks again,
Rama

Just cause I am curious and reading up on the new Disney policies before I get there...

Do the park gift shops now offer resort room delivery for everyone at the GF now? How new is this? Our last trip I was totally spoiled with having my bags brought to my room at SL!!!! I hate going to the resort gift shop with my reciepts and waiting for them to go to the back to get my stuff :cool2:

When they brought it to my room it was like a nice little surprise everytime we returned to our room :rotfl:
BUT I thought this was only something they offered club level guest? Can anyone at any resort do this now or just GF?

Any WDW resort guest is entitled to resort delivery. I fyou are staying club level your packages will be brought to your room. If you are not staying club level your packages will go to your resort gift shop and you can pick them up there.

That has always been the policy but I read that now you can have the packages delivered to your room even if your staying in a regular room? :confused3
I thought the policy might have changed recently

Rama... OK..now we are talking upgrades!! :cool1: Ya never know!:wizard: There is a room in SL with a marina view that has the roll in shower...that is club level....6311

In RPC...the roll in shower room is 4419...that is a deluxe cl room that faces the courtyard pool.

Then the outer lodges.....

In Conch...room 7328 is a perfect TPV...unless there are trees in the way;) ....it's third floor...with the roll in shower.

In Boca Chica...room 8121....faces the lagoon and it's about midway down the building.....roll in shower. That seems more like a lagoon view then TPV. There is also 8124 which faces courtyard pool.

In Big Pine...9121 is lagoon view....faces toward the Poly.
And 9322 is a courtyard pool view.

So..with a roll in shower and a TPV it's very limited....hopefully you get the room in Conch or in Boca with the TPVs...or upgraded!!:thumbsup2

Hope that helps,
Channing

Oh yea! It helps a lot! Thank you so much for all your hard work. It seems like the one in Conch may be the best guess! That or an upgrade! Either will be great, I'm sure!

Thank you so much for helping me solve this puzzle!

Rama
, you're welcome!!

I have a couple questions..not sure if you know the answers...

The rooms I listed for you are the roll in shower rooms....I know what those are but..I am just curious for my own knowledge what the accessible tub would be...what would the difference be to make it accessible?? There are only four of these rooms....

And then the other....."SPecial Accessibility Rooms for Guests (w/bathtub handrails)" ?? There are A LOT of these rooms.

Thanks for any info!:goodvibes

Calling all Basin fans. Sort of OT but not really since GF has a Basin store. I went online to look for this pink sugar scent. They dont list it for any of their products to order online. (like bathbombs or soap) Is this scent only sold at GF or am I doing something wrong on the website??

Thanks Liz

My fav bath bombs from the GF Basin are
calm waters
I didnt care for wild palms but its a scent that grows on you!
Not floral and its a really clean scent.
Paradise is my all time fav one!!!

Savannah is a pink sugar girl all the way!

Dave thinks we are nuts and he can't stand it when the tub is slippery after we get out :rotfl2:

Thanks girls Melissa too!! I cant figure out the multiquote thingy. I love Basin but didnt realize that they have two seperate sites. Now my hubby is in trouble. he he he .... I am off to order some things. :woohoo:

I am getting so excited for my stay at GF now that I can shop in Basin right in my hotel. :woohoo: It is kind of weird we have been coming to Disney since I was a little girl. In the 70's we always stayed at CR so I was always drawn to that hotel. As an adult my favorite so far has been CL at AKL and BWI. Hated WL and BC. YC was OK. Poly I really have no interest in. I didnt really have an interest in GF but, now I am so stoked. My DH gave me a trip for my 40th birthday present and our 17th anniversary. They are just a few days apart so you know i was pissed at my crappy anni gift until he sprung this trip on me. LOL. I love this thread everyone has so much knowledge. I would totally be doing CL but we just came back from a trip 4 months ago and dont have the funds for that kind of trip and DH booked all this on his own. He has always wanted to stay at GF and never told me. I am so happy he chose the hotel because I probably would have picked CR and I am so happy to be staying at GF. OK enough of my gushing. But I am getting so excited now that the trip is getting so close! If all my questions drive you all nuts you have permission to tell me to shut up.:rotfl:
