OK, admitedly I have never stayed concierge at WDW before, but someone got angry for you taking a cookie????????????????????? Are you only supposed to eat at the little tables they provide??? It's not like you snuck in from another floor and crashed the lounge to steal food!! :rotfl:

OT: You ladies are a bad influence on me!!! I went to the mall to pick up a pair of shorts at Gymboree that our local store put on hold for me and I decided to walk through Macy's.... low and behold if there wasn't a huge Coach display with varous accessories on sale (:faint: Coach, on sale??) I bought a brown wristlette to throw in my pool bag this summer so I don't have to bring my big honking wallet with. :thumbsup2

Oh Tracy I sooooo want pics of that :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

See that is what I was worried about... having a confronation with someone for allowing my little angel to bring her snack to the room or us grabbing a drink on the way out to the pool :sad2:

Amy that is just nasty. I have never seen anything like that at all at the GF.....BWI wasn't our best stay so it doesn't surprise me, lol.

GF is full of shiny happy people. :goodvibes :goodvibes With the exception of our last stay that is.....but really super SUPER nice people that give up tables, give my girls perfectly good balloon bouquets because they're checking out, just really nice people - and also, at the GF you don't have the issue of the staff not replacing items. They have lounge staff that works lounge specifically where other concierge lounges rely on the concierge desk CMs to work the food, too, and that leaves some service issues. The GF always has tons of food & if there is something that 's not out that I remember from a past stay or something like peanut butter for my banana;) they always get me some. They are the best at the GF. LOVE THAT PLACE!!!!::yes::

Kristen
I hope the roads aren't too bad yet....it looks like it's snowing buckets now!!! That is great about your Coach!!!!

You know what else....I have had lounge CMs OFFER to make up a plate of goodies and put them in our rooms for when we get back from the parks at night. There is nothing wrong with taking some food for your room. People just get pissy and many of them post on the DIS.

Lives4disney :)

You hit the nail on the head with that one!

I did read this somewhere on the DIS that it wasn't polite to grab food and head to your room with it :confused3

I have stayed other places concierge, but not at Disney. This is normal practice in other locations but with what I read.. it made me a tad bit nervous about attempting it. I don't need some gorilla sized bouncer thumping Savannah and I out on the street because we grabbed a coke on the way to our room :rotfl2:

It is ok to take food back to your room. In the morning they even have trays to make it easier to take food back. I don't remember seeing them at other times during the day, but then I wasn't looking for them either, so they may have been there. We have held the elevator many times for someone getting on with trays of food. Last time we were there we even took plastic cups back to the room so we wouldn't have to use the glass ones. Since we now all know what they do with hotel glasses.:rotfl2:

Amy, that is great you worked it out so you'll be at the GF. I saw your post a while back about where to stay. Did you find places for your guests? Are you getting married at SeaBreeze Point?? Did you work out how you'd make the move to GF?? I am sure it will be fantastic.

I got a prairie style skirt in the mail today and also Jojo's Hannah Montana capris....the capris are adorable and she loves them.....the Eeyore skirt...ugh. Kind of looks like clown clothing. The lady mixed the hot pink Eeyore fabric with hot pink polka dot fabric....its awful. I think DD kind of likes it, but it's TACKY IMO. I was thinking a tad bit more on the subtle side with just a TOUCH of Eeyore and no way did I think she'd put it with hot pink & white polka dots. It's bad.:rotfl: I will have to post a pic so you all can laugh. Anybody reading this - if you're in the parks while we are - you'd spot DD from a mile away. I don't know how to untacky it.:sad2: Maybe with some leggins and cute shoes and a jean jacket over a simple tee.:guilty: SOS. My kids are gonna look so nasty.:rotfl:

I'll post a pic when I get a chance. I can't have DD see me taking the pic or she'll ask why and then feel bad that we are all going get a laugh off her "cute" :scared: skirt.

On a fun note, we were driving home and behind somebody with cool DZNY KD on their plates.

Praline, I smell a challenge! I would have absolutely no problem dancing around with a tea cake on my head. I'm not sure what that says about me, but perhaps you will find a rather bizarre picture (if I can ever figure out how to download them) when I return in April.

And anyone who gives me attitude for taking a cookie would be lucky I didn't put a tea cake on their head. Some people need to seriously lighten up.

Totally off the subject, how do you all find the crowds and weather (at night) mid April? It's two weeks after the spring breaks this year, but the hotels are all sold out. Thanks!

Tracy

OT - how do you guys put a picture right in the body of the message?

:offtopic: maybe you all need to adjust your brightness levels on your monitors....:rotfl: :rotfl:

These are pretty cute and they fit DD8 really well. She has the perfect matching tee and cute pink beaded Reef flip flops to go with it.

Wow!! I just wouldn't have the nerve to do that!:rotfl: Bummer! I wish I did!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Grannie Minnie, until just recent visits we haven't had any particularly good concierge greeting either! I used to be feeling like What's wrong with us?? :upsidedow Our CM friend was downstairs working in the gingerbread house when we were there for Thanksgiving, so she took care of everything for us. I am not sure what would have happened otherwise. I am happy we'll be with DH AND A CAR, :goodvibes when we check in before Easter because I always feel like a dork walking up empty handed and telling them I am checking into the RPC. :p

Happy day,

Lives4Disney :)

Forgive me for not knowing how to lift a quote out and comment on it....but you totally understand how I felt about NOT getting the "concierge welcome" for SL. Your last sentence (...."walking up emptyhanded and telling them I am checking into RPC") just said it all! It was, I say again, a disappointment...

Channing- I LOVE the Hannah pants!!!!! And the skirt doesn't look SO bad!! :rotfl: Put her in a pink tee and a denim jacket and some crazy pink socks with cute shoes and a wild pink hair do-dad and she will be adorable!!!! (Boy, I am glad more than ever I only have a son!!)

tholczer- post a picture picture in the body?? do you mean in your signature? that is in your "profile". As for posting pictures, I think you need a certain number of posts before they allow you :confused3

Awwwww! I like the skirt! In a blinding bright pink sort of way. White T, jean jacket, pink flips and she'd be stylin'.

Tracy

Oh Channing you can't let her wear that skirt :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
It is for your older DD right?

Did the ebay picture look like that? Please tell me its not the same woman I am using :rotfl2:

Seriously... I think I would complain to the maker of that skirt.

The HM Jeans are ADORABLE!!!! Jojo will look adorable in those!!!!!

Did it come with a matching shirt?

OH I do smell a challenge :thumbsup2
To post pics... you can upload them to this website and then click on the pic and then where it says properties... click that and copy the web addy. Then go to the post you want to post the pic to. Up at the top is a little icon of a mountain... click it. A new little box will pop up and ask you for the web addy. Paste the web addy into the box and click OK... when you post your post the pic should be there.

I think I am going to wash it and make it a bit less flame retardent:firefight & stiff looking....maybe it will get softer and a little faded??? (please):rolleyes2

Praline, It's not your dress lady I am almost positive. I saw another lady that makes Minnie twirl skirts and she had Eeyore fabric pictured so I emailed her about doing one in Eeyore. It cost me $50!! I want to email her and say "Are you proud of it?" Or "Would your daughter like to wear it?":joker: It looks like the bottom half of a clown costume to me. I don't nkow what to do and I don't feel like I have a lot of tact right now to deal with the seamstress.:rotfl: I haven't had any experience with custom orders before so not sure how they feel about refunds. :sad2: Give me some of your Southern charm....what would you say??? I don't know what to do....I asked for Eeyore. I didn't ask for the hot pink...I guess I just pictured something more subdued....just touches/patches here and there of Eeyore. The capris were made by a totally different lady.

Thanks for the outfit suggestions.

GrannieMinnie, I know exactly what you mean. I am nervous every time I check in there because I am not sure how we will be received.:rotfl2:

Well Channing its business... no need for charm. Just nicely email her, explain how you are not happy with the product... the hot pink clown look as it was for an older child and you had the expectations of it not being so loud. Ask her what her return policy is and see if she will take the return. FIFTY bucks is WAY too much to spend on that skirt. I mean if you got it for 10-15 bucks I would say just live and learn but ...well you could have gotten on of those cute custom sun dresses I posted for that much. It doesn't even look to be a good quality fabric from what I can tell on the pic. I have seens cuter things at Walmart :rotfl2:
Just be nice and explain your not happy with the skirt and would like to return it :thumbsup2

Well, I just looked at my "sent" Ebay messages....I am the dork that asked for it to be patchy like a prairie skirt and could she coordinate the Eeyore fabric with some little checks or dots.:clown: So I guess i got what I asked for.:rotfl: :rotfl: It's just SO NOT what I pictured.:clown:  I don't know what to do other than suck it up and use it as towel to wipe my dogs wet paws with.:rotfl2: I have to wash it and soften it up for that.:rotfl:

It was an expensive lesson I guess. The lady has 100% positive. I just don't think she's the type that would be receptive to me telling her how hideous her skirt is.

OK...I am gonna....ya, it looks like Walmart=Pop fabric.:rotfl: OH no - Walmart MEETS Pop fabric.

I am gonna email her now. I'll be nice but it'll be hard. Thanks for the reassurance.:crazy2: It's ugly.

well make sure to PM me her name so I dont make the same mistake :rotfl:
I would be ticked it I got something like that in the mail... seriously, it looks like a cheapy almost see through fabric. The patches aren't even random or matching.... I mean she just threw that thing together in 5 minutes. There are whole sections of the skirt that are all dots and then sections that are all Eyore... It doesn't have a random look at all.... just half A$$ done :sad2:
