Savannah's Chocolate looks adorable, Just as adorable as she is!!! I noticed the smudge in the syrup:laughing: I love kids!!!

I love her alfits and clips. I wish my DD was that little again!!! All she ever wants to go is straight iron her hair!!!

I noticed your DS in one of the pictures! The two of them look so much alike!!! Very cute!!!:wizard:

I am excited about our trip to the GF BUT something I haven't mentioned before (though I have to Kelly on the phone) what I am extra extra excited about is getting to meet my brand new adopted niece :cheer2:
My brother and SIL adopted a baby from Guatamala and she was able to come home over Christmas. She is 18 months old and everyone in my family has gotten to meet her except me
My nephew is adopted from Mexico and is 3 and adorable. I love being an aunt (DH is an only child and I only have 1 brother)! I love spoiling them and being the "fun one" :rotfl2: I can't wait to love on both of them:yay:

I hate to make you go off topic, because I love the pictures and the video was very funny too!! But how was your new niece??? and of course you nephew too???:yay:

Not sure why you're asking. :confused3 What's up?? Kind of a weird question.

I am a repeat GF guest. I got a magical upgrade. It was a lovely suprise. That's it. I think it's kind of rude to ask people what they booked and what rate.;) :confused3 Maybe that's just me but I kind of do. I wouldn't ask it of anybody.:rolleyes1

Upgrades don't happen often. It's luck of the draw.

I didn't think it was rude or weird...just an honest question. People are just curious as to whether folks get upgraded on views or levels. We got upgraded this last Sept from GV to SL and we had a 40% discount. We were VERY lucky some pixie dust was spread on our family :wizard: and loved every moment of SL!!!!!

sorry you brought it on yourself :rotfl:

OH MY GOSH I have GOT to tell you all how excited I am. some of you may remember i was sad b/c DH wanted to stay at the Poly in January of next year. i said ok. well, we got a 40% off cod ein the mail. its not good for next january, so we were looking at going in september or november. well, we decided since we had the code to stay GV concierge. there was NONE available for ANY dates, only LV concierge which is a lot more $$ a night. i was bummed and upset, w e were on teh phone all day. well, on a whim i said "what about Sugar Loaf GF" and they HAD IT for end of sept with the code! we are staying 7 nights for 2385 including tax! I am STOKED! i secretly wanted to go back to the GF anyway and now we are by default b/c there is nothing left. YAY!!!!! :cool1: I have the best hubby in the world to let me do this!!! :lovestruc

ok help me here. whats the diff. in "outer lodge, standard room club level" and "standard room club level"??

Oh Channing~ remember when you were saying DS was being a wet blanket this last trip?
I figured your next trip for ya <wink> go the first week in Feb next year and he is sure to have a magical time and wear those mickey ears with pride to the airport :rotfl:
We were there right smack in the middle of the brazilian teenage girl tour groups ... must have seen easily a few 1,000 of them (no trouble with any of them like I have read about though... EXCEPT for their SUPER SUPER tight shorty shorts... GOLLY do they PAINT THEM ON? :rotfl: my sons didn't mind GRRRR

and the start of the cheer competitions with TONS of highschool cheerleaders there!

Everywhere I looked there were young girls with tiny shorts and tank tops on :rotfl: my boys were THRILLED and are already begging me to go the same time next year :rotfl:

Tonight I was downloading both of my DS cameras for them and guess whats on them?! Pics of their mom and dad? Family? rides? scenery? NOPE 3/4 of both cameras are filled with the backsides of the brazillian tourist and cheerleaders AAACKKKKKKK I am going to delete them!!!!!!

Sorry, but I don't KNOW this person from anywhere. I wouldn't go up to any stranger and ask how much something cost but that's just me I guess. People need to realize upgrades are not common. I have been over 50 stays to WDW and all deluxe and a large majority rack rate and been upgraded 2X. Seems kind of odd this poster came out of nowhere and quoted my OLD post and NEver's recent one re upgrade. :confused3

There was a whole hassle about me getting this magical upgrade and people complaining and moaning and making scenes -STRANGERS (DIS lurkers) approaching me in the lounge and bugging me about it even. It was not pleasant.:rotfl: It ruined the magic. If it were anybody else here on the GF thread that I "knew", I would have no problem with the question....basically everybody that I do know here knows what I booked and all the details and figured things out on their own. I had a rude awakening after that whole upgrade affair. There are people that lurk and take advantage of a lot of things that they read. Not saying that's the case with this person, but I am suspicious of a total stranger asking such a bold question.

Praline, LOVE the pics. All the kids are beautiful. Can't do Feb til DS gets out of HS and by then he will be so over us and family vacations. I am glad your guys had some fun. :)

Heather,
DH and I will probably be there in late Sept, too for an anniv trip. I am happy you are able to go!!!!! YAY for the discount!!!:wizard: :wizard: Enjoy the planning!:goodvibes

Wow, so people read about your upgrade on DIS, and hassled you about it while you were there?! What ever happened to people being happy for another's good fortune? I can see how it would take alot of the magic away from your stay. I'm sorry this happened.

Praline3001 – Thanks for posting all those great pictures! Your kids, nephew and niece are all so cute! I'm glad you had an amazing trip.

Hobbester – Your pictures are wonderful…I love the details of the room.

BCV23 and Tink Rules – Thanks for the tips on shipping purchases. It’s nice to know that I’ll have a couple of options. Now we don't have to worry about what we buy!!

I started my trip report. I am going to do 1 day at a time so I can remember everything that happened on each day :lmao:

Here is the link to my trip report... I will be updating it daily (hopefully) so check back in a few days..

I read the first part of your trip...can't wait to hear more! We are staying at the GF for the first time in August with our 2 and 4 y.o. and I'll be about 35 weeks preggers by then...yikes!!!
I have a question..... we'll be arriving in the early afternoon, what would you suggest us doing for the remainder of the day if we don't go to the parks? I was thinking of making some ADR's at one of the other hotels at least for dinner our first night... any suggestions? :goodvibes Can't wait to see day two!

Lives4Disney, I'm so sorry you got hassled on your trip by STRANGERS--that's just scary! It would have really made me uncomfortable the whole time I was there, just knowing people knew so much about me and felt that way. I can see totally why you responded to that poster the way you did. I would have, too, if I had just been hassled abouat a little piece of good fortune, that should have been special.

Praline3001, your pictures are great and the new niece is soooo cute (as is her brother)! Glad to see you started a trip report--I love TRs. I will hold off on my question then about the food at Garden Grill! :goodvibes

Why not 1900 park fare for the cinderella dinner? The food was really good!
The characters really were fun and we watched prince charming and cindy dance. They even took a group of little princesses and taught them to dance... it was adorable! Not only was it a great character meal, its right there at the resort so you don't have to go far to eat!

On the second floor they have an adorable princess shop. They have all the costumes and stuff for each princess (yes, they have other stuff but its mainly kid junk) We enjoyed looking around this store at all the little things they had.

Make sure to go down to the dock for the fireworks show. Check the times or ask a CM when the fireworks start. One night we made a little picnic on the grass and watched the fireworks. It is a very different experience than in the park. In the park, your so close you miss a lot of the fireworks... from a distance you get to see how big they actually are!

Just a suggestion!!!

We used to go Downtown Disney when the kids where little and we didn't want to run into the parks the day we got there. It was a nice way to easy into the Disney vibe.:goodvibes

Now the kids make the plans!!!
