mommyGina, yay for getting power back! No signs of power trucks here, out generator is making the whole thing bearable but we will run out of propane on Thursday...pas130 you found the solution to no power, head for WDW! When you go over to the GF think of all of your friends on this thread!

Does anyone know when the Gingerbread House will be finished for 2011? Also will they still be doing the 1pm gingerbread house presentation on certain days like previous years?
We are hoping to see this all during our trip next week. I am just hoping we are not too early.

You are more than welcome to come use my W/D My kiddos love company! We will be at the Poly BC is our September2012 trip, but my DD7 is missing the Grand, so that may change OR become a split stay BTW there are glass slippers to go with that dress (the tiara is MIA and the wand was a weapon so it "was lost")

We were there last year the week before Thanksgiving (equivalent of Nov 12 week this year), and the house was up, but I don't know when exactly it goes up. Good luck!

The dates for the start of the gingerbread house seem to vary each year. Last year, they started sometime between November 7 and November 10, as we had one poster who left on the 7th and it hadn't started, another who arrived around the 9th or 10th who reported construction had begun.

Thank you, I heard a rumor about it being done for November 14....I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get to see it before we leave on the 16. When we went in janurary 2009, we missed seeing the gingerbread house by one day. I hope we don't miss seeing it by one day this trip

Thank you I leave in the afternoon! We are checking in at the Poly tonight...but in true resort changing fashion...I will be moving over to the Grand for two nights

My DH has no idea, but when I saw a room available, and asked DD, who gave a BIG
