BamaT!!!! Long time, no see!!! So happy to see that you've had to awesome trips to the Grand this year, lucky gal! :cutie:

And as always, love the pics! Love EM!!!! :thumbsup2

DH said the next trip is at the RPC, he promises! :cloud9:

Sorry for the misinformation, however I was only repeating what I was told by two different cast members. I think the lesson learned is just keep trying for the various discounts, no matter what you are told. And, as you said, if you changed rooms, your original room was available again.

Sorry if I came off offensive in anyway.

Just goes to show you that us DISers usually know more than your average CM answering the phone. :sad2:

Not at all. The main thing is discounts are out there, sometimes you just have to persistent and you will find them!

catyanna - I have heard Cuban coffee is very addictive, and hard to find outside Miami (or maybe Ybor City in Tampa?)! Any decent coffee can be tough to find on WDW property, although DD mentioned the regular coffee at GF Cafe was much better this past March - the CM said they had recently changed brands.

The CL cappuccino machine is available all day, starting at 6:30 a.m. and running until 10:00 p.m. I'm not a coffee drinker, so others might be able to say whether they've been able to get espresso during late night or even earlier hours? The machine is there, so I'm not sure how that works - whether they turn it off.

Thanks for the info & yes Cuban coffee is very addictive & if I don't have it I get a headache. :headache: But I am lucky that we have many Cuban bakeries here where I live so if I am out & about I can stop & get some. But I always have some in the morning when I get up. It's my breakfast!!!

Only TWO more days until we are back home at the Grand!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We cannot wait...magic always happens at the Grand Floridian.:cloud9::love::cloud9:

I missed this yesterday - one day to go, woohoo!:dance3::banana:

The Grand is usually very magical for us as well, but we will be visiting the BC next week. SAB was calling us.

Mouseturtle - good luck with your BB offer. Keep trying, maybe SL will open up. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

BamaTigger - Hey, good to see you!:goodvibes Glad you had a wonderful 4th visit, and thanks for the links to all the photos, I enjoyed them very much.

KC Mike - great photos, I especially liked the black and white of the balcony.

catyanna - I'm glad you have access to your favorite breakfast.;) We live in a very small town, and can't get many of the things we love best.~sigh~

Good Morning everyone, Had a question about Narcoossee's and thought I would ask here first. Do you think it would be ok if my DS (15) wore a nice shirt and shorts with his sneakers? The only reason I am asking is that he has Titanium implants in both ankles and he has to wears orthothics as well. There are only certain shoes he can wear and that's his sneakers. Do you think this will be a problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have DH covered with dress shoes.

CoachBagFanatic - you will be fine!:thumbsup2 Narcoossee's dress code is very lenient, the only foot wear they mention is no flip flops. Don't give it a second thought.

Thanks so much k&a&c'smom. I am hoping the same for the Cali Grill. I have seen kids in there before with sneakers but they were younger kids.

CoachBagFanatic - Don't worry about Cali Grill, either, I know either DD, her friends, or I have worn sneakers there. I don't think any of the Signatures care that much about the foot wear, as long as you aren't barefoot.;)

Even V&A's has allowed sneakers on occasion, as DD and I had to make a day-long search for dressy shoes one visit (long story, but we found them!). When we were discussing it with our server, she laughed and said there was a gentleman in the dining room right then who had forgotten his shoes and had to wear sneakers with his suit!

pas130 - I see you have lived up to your billing, and switched your girls only trip to WL.;)

Oh thanks so much k&a&c'smom. I know our trip is not until June 2012 but it's once less thing that I have to think about and DS will be happy.

:rotfl: I haven't changed anything yet....I just feel guilty about going to the GF without the family. I am totally anticipating that DH and kiddos will love it, so I figured it would soften the blow that mom's going to Disney without them if I stayed somewhere else. It is FANTASTIC to finally have everyone as excited to go the GF as I am (thanks to my little Princess, who stood hard and fast to stay at HER first choice) :woohoo:

Back from my trip to GF Sugar Loaf. Had a wonderful trip. rained every day but only got rained on once.

As promised I spoke to the Concierge at SL about the Conceirge Connect pilot program they ran. It's basically trying to make the Concierge contact more technically advanced by allowing email / text. It is geared toward maximizing Concierge availability and impact during your stay. The CM I spoke with was going to start her Conceirge Connect training in one week. She was not sure if there would be an additional charge once the service became available or if it would be an inclusive service.

Also, my Son got an ear ache near the end of our visit and we used a service (at concierge's reccomendation) called DOCS, Doctors on Call Service. We paid an arm and a leg but the Doctor was great, came right to the room, and provided the first dose of medicine during the visit. I called at 7:30am and the Doctor was in my room by 10:15am. I would reccomend this service to anyone that needed a Doctor at WDW. Very professional and very thourough.

Hope your son is feeling better! Did it rain all day or was it at a certain time of the day. We will be there next week & I want to be prepared. Glad to hear you had a great time!

catyanna - Thanks, my son was feeling better before we even left!

All but one day it rained between 2pm and 6pm but almost always between 3pm and 5pm. Only once did the rain last more than 30 minutes. We made rope drop almost every day and were usually back by the pool or in the room getting cleaned up by the time the rains came. After the rain moved out we were off to dinner and/or night time park.

How exciting!!! I love the GF- DH and I had our reception for our wedding there. We stayed at GF for our 2 year and now for our 3 year we decided to try Boardwalk although Im really itching to be back at the Grand..lol
Have a wonderful stay

Does anyone know the hours for the GF's marina?

I've searched the FAQ pages and all over the net, but there is no photo of a posted sign with opening and closing hours, only the offerings and their pricing.
