On my visit to the Fort last month, I noticed that the Meadow Trading Post was selling post cards with the new artwork. The post card is kind of neat. It is one of those three dimensional ones. I tried to scan it, but the scanner obviously could not show the 3D effects:
The interesting thing is the back of the postcard. Here, we have a graphic that identifies all of the characters in the design:

I didn't notice the Prince of the Forest, but I see him now. I don't recall ever hearing of Bootle Beetle, but now that I know he was in a Donald Duck cartoon, I think I remember him now. And, this also ends the mystery about the identity of the canoeists.
I still find this whole design strange. I realize that the artist was trying to utilize characters that have some connection to the Wilderness, but in all the years of the Fort's existence, I have never seen the majority of these characters associated in any way with the Fort.
