How much was it ?? Do you live in a high theft area ?? I never lock my hitches or covers but maybe I should start.

If I'm remembering correctly, the hitch is about 16.00.

No we don't live in high crime area,,we are out in the country,,,we do however go to places like Wally Weird, etc. and I have seen things stolen out of parking lots.

I too have a locking pin for my hitch cover(@$15 at WM).....it does it's job except when you back into a bank of dirt on your farm and tear Mickey off of the part that is locked!?!?!?!?!? And to think I was afraid of the low life pond scum at Wal-Mart!

Stitch #1 fell off on his own(made in China) and Stitch #2 is patiently awaiting his fate in my cabinet at home...but I really loved Mickey!

BTW- I am not a fan of the new logo....where are the campers? I only see cabins BEHIND tons of characters. It is really cute and all, but I like resort shirts and merchandise to look like it came from that resort without having to read the fine print!?! Those shirts look like something from the Magic Kingdom!

I LOVE the tag and shirts we bought in January. They are not as colorful as the new logo, but they have a camper and musket Mickey right in the middle of them and that is why we bought them. We love WDW and buy things from all the parks, but I like having something for my car that shows my love for Fort Wilderness!

I totally agree! Glad we stocked up when we were there in January. I won't be buying any of this.

Mike, I had a solid steel 10k ball mount with a 2 5/16" ball for my 5 ton dump trailer stolen! I paid about $100 for that sucker. I couldn't find a locking hitch pin for my truck, it has a class 5 hitch, with a sleeve in it for both sized ball mounts. (std and HUGE, not the wimpy little one LOL) I hate that stupid sleeve by the way, it makes it so hard to put my dad's scooter platform in, it slides all the way in, or will stick out, and you can't get the pin lined up, so I welded that sucker in so it doesn't move I don't plan on towing any 20K trailers with a class 5 hitch any time soon) I was smoking mad, so I searched and searched and found a locking pin at cabela's that was long enough, it was about $49 but they ain't getting my ball mount for the TT, that sucker would be really expensive!

I really don't like the new logo, etc. What does it have to do with the fort? But that is just my opinion... and we all know what opinions are like...

I think this new logo is cute too. I like that they included Paul Bunyan and Jonny Appleseed...American Legends is one of my kids' all time favorite Disney movies. I think that they should have thrown a tent or two in there though, just to emphasize the "campground" part of "resort and campground."

thats what i was thinking too...where is a tent or an RV? Is that Wild. Lodge in the background?

I saw the new logo when we were there the first week of October, and I gotta tell ya..I thought it was too "busy". It was cute and all, but just a little too busy for me for an adult shirt. Maybe for the kids.. Maybe on the license plate..but adult shirts, it was just too much to take in. I mean do you want to be a woman wearing this while someone is staring at the logo trying to figure out who is on the shirt and what they're doing? Ya know what I mean girls..we like to keep it simple, so some moron doesn't have an exuse to be staring at your chest longer that they should be.

ITA that there is too much going on in some of these designs.

I just noticed that the silhouettes of the seven dwarfs are marching right in front of the sun. You can't tell that from the t-shirt, but it is clearly them from looking at the license plate:

What I can't figure out is who or what is that little critter that the Native American boy is chasing on the license plate? You can the same critter between Max and his pal there on the t-shirt. What is that?

And, that might be Mickey's nephews in the canoe. Neither one has a hair bow or long eyelashes, as far as I can see.

I would have to agree with those who think this design (or 2 or 3) is too busy. I think its time for the tshirt gurus to get back to work and come up with a new design. I like the designs BDR had on that thread from before, but something similar to these new designs, only BETTER would be, well, better. I think I'll start playing around with Printshop a little....

By the way, where do you get the mickey hitch covers? I've never seen them anywhere?

I purchased all of mine from Disneyshopping.com. I got Mickey and stitch a couple of years ago on clearance for $2.99 each and I got the stitch with flames(purrrfect for me!!!) a couple of months ago for $3.99.

I just looked it up and it is now at Disneyoutlet.com for $1.99...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These are actually Mickey's two nephews. I remember seeing them in books and maybe a few cartoons when I was a kid. After the late 70's early 80's, they disappeared.

Turns out we forgot to get Fort Wilderness mugs when we were there!!

I have to look at those sites. I wanted to buy a "refillable" mug, but all they had was the resort-wide "standard" mug... I guess they don't make a FW specific mug anymore? (I think I read about that somewhere on these forums)
