Hi Everyone,
I am sorry I have one more question and I hope that is ok. We just bought the Little Mermaid pool toy raft form the Disney Store, Can you bring rafts in the pool at the GF? It has a water gun on it and my daughter loves it.
Thanks,
PammyPoppins

Again, give MickeyMac a run for her money with those photos.

MMuuuuhhahhahaaaa... and Lives, if you do, I might just have to book it again. We could have Yacht Wars!! LOLOL!

PammyPoppins, that’s a good question. My ~uneducated~ guess is that if your child is very young (infant/toddler), the Life Guards might not have an issue with it if it is a ring type of raft that your child sits in. But if your child is older and the raft is more like a standard raft, they will have an issue with it. The Life Guards don’t want anything in the pool that could obscure their view of the pool’s bottom. Their number one concern is safety, and if a swimmer is drowning, their view of a life-threatening situation could be hampered by a raft.

If you bring your child's raft on vacation, definitely ask the Life Guards if you may use it in the pool. They are the only ones who can give you the definitive answer to your question. If they tell you no, then ask them for a swim vest for your child. They will gladly give you one to use.

Please report back to us what you find out.

Oh, I see that the Queen of Grand 1 photos (a.k.a., MickeyMac) is lurking amongst us. Give her you-know-what, Lives4Disney!

Hi everyone. I am a long time lurking of the DIS and love the GF. I appreciate all the information I get here! I have a quick question. My dh and I are going to stay in RPC this September for our 10th Anniversary. ( It is also my 39th birthday, and my dh turns 40 in August :thumbsup2 )
Well anyway on to my question - I received our confirmation in the mail and under room view it says Garden/Water. There is nothing about being in concierge or RPC on there. Do you think they messed up my reservation? :confused3

I hate reading about bad parenting at Disney (or anywhere)! I know I'm not perfect, who is, really? But, when you take a little one to Disney YOU HAVE TO BE ON THEIR SCHEDULE! If they get sick, too bad, partys over! ugh! Poor little kids whose mom's and dad's make them suffer through rides, parades and dinners when they are ill. That makes me hot! I swear when we went to the World last year there were a couple of times we'd be at MK and the babies would be fussy or just unhappy. So we'd leave...and this was after only being in the park for about an hour! So back to our resort we'd go. After cooling off of swimming they were all ready again. Made for a nice trip - so good we are heading back this year!

Still I feel for kids whose parents act so selfish. Gross!! and vomit at a restaurant. That story still makes me sick!

Although we haven't stayed in the RPC, none of our other concierge stays have been indicated on the confirmation.

The price per night should be a good indication. ;)

We would do the same thing when our DD was 2 and 3 years old. We told people how much fun we had, what great trips we took, and how they really need a break when they need a break. Well, several friends went, didn't take breaks, and told us they didn't understand how you can do WDW or DL with a toddler! :sad2:

Congrats on your anniversary and wedding. DH and I stayed there to celebrate our 40th birthdays and 20th anniversary. That was an incredible stay. The view is considered "varied", so seeing both garden and water is a good indication that you're in the main building. As BCV mentioned, the price is a good give away. I'm sure you've been in contact with the pre-planning staff and they'll only work with someone who is an existing concierge guest. Is there by chance a two-letter code on your confirmation? Based on the room layouts that I have, BJ is used to identify standard RPC rooms.

Thanks Tammi and BVC for answering me so quickly. :thumbsup2 The price is definetly RPC. I looked and I don't see any code on my confirmation. :confused3
I went ahead and booked my own ADR's. I wanted it done that minute and with the trouble I had read about preplanning getting back to everyone right away I thought that might ease my stress. I was able to get everything I wanted so I was thrilled. I will probably give CRO a call or I could email IPO and see if I am on their list just to make sure...I would hate to be surprised in a bad way when we get there.
I am also considering ordering a cake and have gone through that thread from beginning to end. :goodvibes
Thanks again and happy planning to everyone!

I would definitely e-mail IPO, if nothing else, just to touch base and let them know about your arrival plans. Even though you made your own ADR's, they should be on record with the concierge department and they'll have a personal itinerary for you.

2 days ago i e maild the GF with my ADR list and we have e mailed back and forth 3 or four times since then, and I also got themto confirm my reservation and type of room for me and they did it glady, they are so sweet, so I would just drop them an e mail!

Lives4disney, I have been checking back every day to hear how your stay is! I'm sure you are enjoying every minute at the GF. What a place!!!! Hope to hear all about it soon.

Magical

Well, we are back. We started our stay in SL, but it wasn't at all what we were expecting. :confused3 So, we moved Friday to the RPC, which was amazing, as usual!

All of the CMs are just so friendly and helpful, it really helped make our stay a little more magical! :wizard: We just can't wait to return for the wedding...

Pronunciations ..... is Sago Cay pronounced Say-go Key?

Wow, so many Disers are at the Grand right now. How exciting! :teeth: I can't wait to see photos.

Happy Birthday Channing! :bday:
