well I just got off the phone and we are concierge for our july trip

we are at GF sugar loaf
I am alittle nervous as the service wasnt that great last time so I am hoping it will be better this time
Dh and the kids love concierge so I am really excited about it

Kelly, that is great! I will cross my fingers that SL is better for you this time. Good for you for giving it another try. I hope you have a wonderful time. I am bummed, because you'll be there over my bday & I most likely won't.

I am excited I do love the concierge and I already made all my ADRs so.
I love the rooms at the GF! I dont need them for much preplanning
I have to ask about the minnie cake your daughter had
I would love to ge a mickey one for my son
how did you ser that up? and what was the cost?

Kelly, the cake was ordered thru the GF's private dining or bakery?? I did it, not IPO. I think I just called the GF and asked for the bakery actually. I believe it was $40 or $50. It was really cute, but the chocolate cake inside was funky. It was cute, but nasty. There were frozen icey parts and watery parts that had defrosted and got smooshy.

Well I have to give an update here as I am very IMPRESSED! I emailed the concierge today letting them about us and have already heard back from them! Several times. I emailed them and heard from Calvin, he answered all my questions, I emailed him again and he relied again. His responses were great, there were no errors and he was very quick to respond.
This really makes me feel better. I know in a way it sounds foolish but this is the type of service I expect from the IPO, and I am very happy about it. I just had to share as many of us love the GF and love staying there.

thats so great! thats how i feel. i ahve had nothing but great service and quick replies from them (beth in particular is who I dealt with) and we e emailed numeroud times a week for many months!

I saw Calvin when we were there over Xmas, so I know he exists. I think he answered some of my IPO emails a while back, too. I think you're in good hands. Just keep addressing your emails ATTN Calvin.

We will be there July 10-13th for our vow renewal that has turned into a Grand Gathering. We are the ones taking up all the deluxe concierge rooms. We have 27 family members---parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. Our renewal is the 12th so look for us! We'll also be at the Poly for a few days prior, the BWI garden suites the 13-15 and AKL (hoping it's not too much of a construction nightmare) 15-17. This is a once in a lifetime trip that my amazing hubby is letting me do for everyone. Most of my family members just don't "get" how we could go to Disney so often. My 8 nieces and nephews have never been and many of our siblings haven't been either so you can see how I wanted them at least this one time to experience Disney how we are fortunate enough to see it. Hopefully I can convert them all!!

Oh, we had Calvin for our trip in January and he was great! We used to work only w/Renee (for GF and CR stays) and we LOVE her--she's also a fellow Ohioan so she really took good care of us. Now she has moved up but always checks in on us to make sure everything's ok. This trip, I haven't had luck getting any help. With our group being so big, I really needed to book everything through group dining but I have been trying to let them know of my mother's and hubby's mother's food allergies and also wanted to get some in room gifts but I haven't had any luck getting in touch with them. I will probably email again, but I agree, it's very frustrating.

We met Calvin this past Fall. He struck me as a consummate professional and true Southern gentleman. Not that I remember any accent but it was that kind of impression which fits so well with the GF theme!

Thought I'd let you all know that I made my RPC ressies on Wednesday and received an itinerary form via email on Friday. It seems to cover everything and I can either return it via email, fax or snail mail. Now I have to strart planning those ADRs!

Now it sounds like they may be getting things together and Calvin is a good CM in IPO.

Lisa, have a FABULOUS trip. It sounds like a dream Disney trip! That should be so much fun with all your family members. Our 20th anniversary is next year and there is just NO WAY anybody would want to come down with us. They (dare I say it....)hate WDW. I hope your group "gets it" and converts .

I've been dealing with Calvin also and he has been very good. Answering quickly and giving me all the info i need or requested. I like that my emails have been coming from his personal Disney email address and not just the GF concierge email address. It seems to makes a difference.
