Hmmm...can someone give me some further info on pool rehabs.

What is being done exactly? Are both pools involved?

We are arriving March 13. Are rehabs supposed to be finished by then?

And finally, if the rehabs are ongoing when we arrive, I assume we could use either the Poly or GF pools? Actually, I have a vague recollection that Deluxe monorail guests are in fact allowed to share each others' pools - is this true?

No date for the completion of the pool renovations has been said. All that we know is they will star on Janurary 5th and it says to be completed in March. Besides that it said guests staying at the Contemporary can use the pool at the Polynesian.

I'd put up photos of the Contempo Cafe today - it is done, and tomorrow they have CM's testing the food (and then Saturday is the grand opening). It looks really nice, though I miss the old Food and Fun Center.

The monorail "tree" is now up at the Fanasia store as well.

It's a huge, modern Christmas tree-like display which features several models of the Contemporary with the monorail running through it. They circle the tree all the way to the top. I wish I'd taken a picture of it when I saw it the other day. But I found on on the 'net:

My little sister is bent on getting one of those monorail t-shirts when we stay @ the CR. Anyone seen monorail shirts/merch etc. at the Fantasia store? If not at the CR, anyone know of anywhere in the MK that might sell them?

They have the Spanish monorail t-shirts at the Contemporary (BVG), Poly (gift shop on first floor), Grand Floridian (gift shop on second floor), World of Disney, and MK (Emporium), among other places. Seems like just about every shop I checked had them.

Those pictures look great so thank you for posting them. I am also going to miss the Food & Fun Center however from what I can see in the pictrures, the Contempo Cafe is going to look alot nicer.

I utilized the tepmorary grab & go site the other day. It was so cramped, they also were fillimg mugs with canned sodas, had no fountain facilities. Is the permanent site right next door? I could see something but there was a huge crowd for CMs so I didn't want to wander much.

The next time your at the Contemporary to take pictures can you please find out when construction of the new Outer Rim Lounge will take place and how long they think it will happen?

Yes that use to be the Outer Rim and it's now going to be located where the Tempo Grab & Go use to be.

Thanks! I plan to go back tomorrow - I'm taking photos at Super Soap Weekend and want to stop at the first day of the Cafe (either before or after).
