El Centro is where the restaurants, shopping, arcade, convention center, registration, & Guest Services are.

Thanks epcotfan, so if I wanted to be close to peppermarket as well as the dig site, I have 2 children ages 9 and 7, I would want the cabanas section right?

Yup. The Cabanas are a good location for those with children. It is about a 6 minute casual walk from El Centro to the Dig Site.

Hi! We'll be staying at Coronado Springs for the first time in June (woo hoo!). I thought I read somewhere that there are buses from CSR to the Boardwalk. Is this true?

Thanks!

From what has been said on these boards, that bus was discontinued about a year ago. Not enough demand.

Last night I had the "I'm going to WDW in 1 week" shock and awe attack! :earseek: I actually woke up at 6:00am this morning in a panic because I have not brought the suitcases out yet, lol.

I usually pack 3 hours before my flight but it's very rainy today so I may as well start getting the summer clothes off the kids dressers and into a suitcase.

We are in need of some pixie dust if you don't mind....Our ressie was SO messed up by WDWTC. We reserved a water view and got stuck with a standard. Was told water view and resort was sold out. My sister is staying in waterview and we want to be next to her room so we need some pixie dust that a water view is available at check in.

This thread has been a huge help in planning our sudden trip so thanks a bunch for starting it.

In Sept we were able to be in the spa after 10:00 pm (I think it was closer to midnight). The jets were running. A couple days later we moved over to the Dolphin and they shut down their spas at 9:00 pm. You could still get in them, but the jets were off. BUMMER!

Thank You so much for this thread! I didn't know much about this resort and so glad I found out more! Hubby and I made ressies to stay here this May and the great FL Resident Rate! It was the only moderate available when Hubby called to make the ressies - I was worried because I haden't heard much about the resort! Now I'm excited! I LOVE Mexican architechture!! YEAH!!

I have a question. Are there toasters available at the Pepper Market for the guests to use? I know they have them at the AS hotels' food courts.

Roberta
*Imagine... only 9 days, 21 hours and 24 minutes till WDW!*

There are toasters and microwaves at the PM, I'm just not sure if they are available to guests who are not eating there. That's a good question.

Actually I have a few questions regarding Coronado Resort.

What time does the food court open? And are there coffeemakers in the room?

We normally stay at POR, but with the rehab starting, we are trying to decide what other resort we want to stay at. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

I just booked CS for June 6-10. I am going on a tight budget and can't afford the deluxe hotels nor do I want to stay at an all stars hotel so I am staying at CS. the funny thing is I didn't like it when we stayed there in 97, they were open for a month and I thought the reason why I didn't like it was they didn't get the kinks out now I know it was because I have my EX and that is why I didn't like my trip or hotel, the ex is gone so I bet I wouldlike it :D

Hello,

In response to the last few questions :

There are coffee makers in the rooms. I don't use it, but my daughter did on the last trip. They provide the packets of instant coffee and powdered creamer, and sugar, etc. If you want milk or real cream, you have to get it in El Centro.

The Pepper Market is open from 7:00am until 11:00pm. In response to the poster who asked about toasters, I'm almost positive that there are, over by the beverage stations. If you are looking to use them without being a paying Pepper Market guest, I'm not sure how it works. The first day we were there, we wanted to visit the PM, and just scope it out. They gave us a visitors pass to show on the way out past the checkout registers. The whole PM is enclosed in wrought iron, and has one entrance and one exit. As regular customers, you wait for the host/hostess to seat you, and they give you a card for your table, which you get checked off at the stations you order food from. You present the card as you exit the PM, and pay at that time.

In response to Gail T, I know the feeling!!!!!!!!

Hope that helps,

Thanks, and take care,

Bill

The entire Pepper Market doesn't open until 7am but the bakery/coffee window opens a bit earlier from what I recall.

Speaking of coffee...how is it at Pepper Market?

The coffee at Wilderness Lodge was awful. I'm hoping that it will be better at CSR.

Kaycee

Does anyone know if Pepper Market has a microwave? All Star Music has a microwave you can use to pop popcorn etc. I am travelling soon and want to know. Any one out there with any info?

Gail T - I know exactly where you are coming from :-)

Kaycee- You must have gotten a bad pot of coffee - When I stayed at WL the coffee was awesome! This is coming from someone who HATES coffee unless it's true goumet. I hesitated to try the coffee at WL, but hubby ensured that I would like it and I had a refillable mug so I knew I could dump it if I hated it, but it was YUMMY!! So, better luck next time :-) Oh - I got the coffee from Roaring Forks - not the room - That might make a difference.

From what I hear Coronado Springs has a expresso/gormet coffee shop so I'm sure you'll be fine.

What a great thread!! Thanks tinkerbell_325 for all your hard work and epcotfan for all of your input!! (great website) Ok so I took the plunge and booked for July30-Aug4. I will be travelling alone with my 2 dds ages 3 & 6. In order of priority, the dig site, el centro, bus stop. Which section, building, do I request?
Also, does anyone know the hours of Siestas Pool bar? We are only planning 3 park days with alot of down pool time. Thanks again. Also I am relying totally on WDW trabsportation. Is the bus service rteally ok? I will want to get over to the boardwalk the kids love B&C (who am I kidding) will it be a hassle? should I just take a cab?

Thanks

Laura

Hi Laura,
I'm sure someone will be able to answer your questions.
I am undecided about which location to request for our anniversary trip coming up on Memorial Day weekend.
But, I am very excited about staying at CSR because of the great information on this thread! I was disappointed we couldn't swing staying at The Boardwalk but now I'm looking forward to staying at CSR.
We do spend most of our time at The Boardwalk. One afternoon, my husband will take the car to go golfing with our Disney bartender friend. We'll meet at The Boardwalk later. I am planning on taking a cab from CSR. Otherwise, it's a bus to DD and then a bus to Boardwalk, I think.
I believe taking the bus everywhere else will be just fine.
I hope you and your daughters have a great time!
