If you have 3 in a room, are you guaranteed to get two doubles or is their another room type that fits 3 at the std room rate?

Also, are their connecting King rooms and Std Double rooms? If so, are these combos few and far between.

If you have three, you will get a double.

CSR only has 124 king rooms and 50% of the rooms at CSR are adjoining so I would say yes.

wow thats actually a really good deal!!

how were their services as to delivering and picking up the microwave?
Excellent! They leave the item at bell services. If I remember correctly, you call them and they will give you a number to give to bell services so they know where it is. You can pick it up or have bell services deliver it to your room. Then you return it to bell services at the end of your stay for ABBF to pick up.

LOL my price went up for my 7 night stay :), but I'm going from POP to CSR now. The price difference to me seemed to make sense :).
I did the same thing! As if I need another thing to be excited about! Have a great trip!

I am working on reading both the FAQ threads for CS since I just made our reservation at CS for our first ever trip to WDW! I did have one question about room requests, I am sorry if it has already been asked an answered, but there are a lot of pages! :goodvibes (Which is a great thing!)

We are staying over a weekend (between conventions) and I reserverd a standard room, it is only DH and myself. Are there king beds available in the standard rooms? I was also checking out POR and it looks like the king beds are basically a preferred room there, is it the same way here? It didn't look that way on the website. DH would be thrilled to be able to get a king bed. If they are available in the standard rooms, I will request one, I do understand that everything is only a request though and I will prepare him for that :)

I was also thinking of requesting the Cabanas, should I request a specific building also? Does one section of CS have more king beds than the others? I am sure I will have a couple more questions, so thanks in advance for helping me out!!:goodvibes

I just saved $300 on our 6 night trip to CSR with the new Fall discount code promo going on. :woohoo:

So, CSR it is for sure! With a cheating heart I considered switching us to Wilderness Lodge, but after all...it is my birthday and the three caballeros topiary is waiting for my photo opp!
:3dglasses

3 months to go.

There are only 124 king rooms at CSR and many of them have some sort of handicapped accessible bathroom or feature. They are spread out among the three villages and can be standard rooms.

Hi Buzz! I want to thank you for all of the wonderful info on CSR! We will be visiting the resort for the first time in November. We will be driving in from Alabama and I need directions to the resort from the turnpike. Can we take the western beltway and easily find the resort?
Thanks Again!

If I am thinking about the same road, the western beltway is the new road that was recently completed and exits right next to CSR so it should make it very easy for you to find CSR since it will put you right next door to the entrance.

I found this video that may help. It's slow to download.
I made a short video that shows how you can access the new entrance from highway 192. This is a big file at nearly 150 MB and was recorded with the camera on top of the steering wheel, there is no production value here folks! This is only meant to be mildly entertaining at best [:p]

I start the video here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Avalon+Rd,+Kissimmee,+FL

The video itself can be downloaded here: http://www.ExploreTheMagic.com/video/wdw-enterance.avi

The video is in a format known as Xvid, its a special codec that allows videos to be compressed far beyond that of quicktime or real player but if you don't know how to play this video do not email me. Let me repeat that, do not email me asking how to play this video.

For the Xvid codec: http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/

Xvid is really just an opensource / free version of Divx.

Buzz I have a question for you, I'm staying at CSR from Nov 15-19. I just saw your pics of CSR decorated for Christmas. Will the decorations be up when I'm there? How early do they go up?

You will just miss them They begin to go up around Thanksgiving. Maybe you get lucky.

Hi Buzz:

First time here to CSR- upgraded from AS Sports. I have a question for you. I already made my reservation- is it okay to call back and put in a room request and what are my chances of them honoring it? I would like a room in the Casita or Cabana buildings- preferably close to El Centro. What buildings do you recommend and do these two sections have non- preferred rooms as I am pretty sure my room is a standard view and it even lists limited view on my ressie on the disney website.

Thanks for all of your help and I am trying to get through all of these pages!!

Definitely! Requests are just that so there are no guarantees but they do help. Out of 8 trips where I requested cabanas, I got them 7 times.

There are standard rooms in every section of the resort.

Here are some good building choices...

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. (Most convenient location and most preferred)

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool. It's in between bus stop 1 and 2.

Casita 1 has some nice courtyard views with a fountain is attached to El Centro.

cabana 9a was the only smoking optional building. It's great that it no longer is because it is a great location.

9A is a great location especially if you drive. Cabana 9B is a bit of a haul with luggage, especially on a muggy Fla afternoon from either the parking lot or El Centro. Driving to El Centro and parking is really easy.

Buzz- thank you so much for your website and maintaining this wonderful thread.... I just read the WHOLE thing! My kids are wondering what the heck Mommy has been doing all morning! :rolleyes1

We just booked with the Visa deal for my parents and our family. We are from NJ, so we will be staying in 2 rooms at CSR for part of Jersey week and a little longer for MVMCP which is 11/12. I apologize if these have been answered b/f, but had a couple of questions for you and anyone else that can help:

1. Fell in love with your pics of the Christmas decorations...just lovely. Do you know when they put them up? Our last day is 11/12 which is the 1st night for the Christmas party. Since the parks will be decorated, I'm sure hoping they are up!

2. I had to take a waterview based on availability, but my parents got a standard b/c they are staying 1 day LONGER... which was crazy b/c my dates were included in their vacation, but it is fine. Here's my question... we asked for connecting rooms....will this be at all possible due to the waterview?

3. Read that the slide is for solo riders only. My daughter will be a month shy of 3 in Nov and is tiny. I'm sure she would LOVE to use it... will she have to go alone? I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that but would love to have her on my lap. Is that policy even for the little, little ones?

Thanks so much!
Lorraine

thanks and I am not driving, so won't have to worry about that and as far as my luggage- I have DME to take care of that, thank lord!!

I will call them shortly.
