Never had a problem with gators in the 40 plus stays there. You should have no problem.

Um Kimkammom, what were you looking for? I'm sure you posted earlier and I just missed it but it must be waaaay back because I just looked again.

Thanks for all the info Buzz!

I was wondering if there is usually a lot of parking available or if I will probably have a hard time using my car to get around the resort.

There is plenty.

With the refillable mugs at CSR don't you get Hot Chocolate?
You get Hot Choc at POP and I know my Hubby will be disappointed not to get it.

We will be going to CSR in September and I know my kids will want Hot Choc, that was there morning ritual at AKL last year (something they still talk about).

Thinking aloud, I wonder if I pack hot cocoa mix (pouches) if it would be possible to use the hot water to make the hot chocolate in the refillable mugs that we will purchase.?

You have a coffee maker in the room that you can run the water through to heat up.

I never had hot chocolate before at the PM but my guess would be that if you can get hot water for tea, your can probably use the hot water for hot chocolate as long as you supply it.

Me and my family(3 adults one child age 6) are staying at coronado springs from may 13, 2007 to the 18. We havr chosen to stay in a Jr. Suite which was a little pricey. Are there any perks with associated with staying in a suite? Are they nicer than the standard rooms? What section of the resort are they located? Sorry fore all the questions but i am really concerened if i made the right decesion.

Sorry to say that the only perk is that you're guaranteed two rooms together.

CSR has 3 types of suites and they are costly. Jr suite, VIP suite and an executive suite. All the suites are located in the casitas with the exception of 2 jr suites located in the cabanas, one in 8b and one in 9b. The double bed jr suite would fit six because the wall unit in the second room is a murphy bed. Jr suite is two rooms together, the VIP is 3 regular rooms together, and the executive is 5 rooms together.

* The resort has about 30 junior suites, which are basically two connecting standard rooms. The bedroom includes either one king bed or two double beds and the second room is set up as a living room with a sleeper sofa or Murphy (Sico) bed. There are two bathrooms. Junior suites have an occupancy of 4 or 6 people and cost more than 2 standard rooms.

* There are also 10 "VIP" one-bedroom suites. These are equivalent in space to 3 standard rooms knocked together. There is a standard bedroom with one king bed or two double beds, plus a full bath. The living room is equivalent in size to two standard rooms and includes two seating areas, a wet bar with small refrigerator, a full bathroom and a dining table for four people. It has either a sleeper sofa or a Murphy (Sico) bed, bringing the occupancy to 4 or 6 people. The VIP suites are set up primarily for entertaining and are generally used by senior managers staying at the resort for conventions. VIP suites are priced at more than 4 times the cost of a standard room.

* Finally, there are a 6 "Executive" two-bedroom suites. These are equivalent in space to 5 standard rooms knocked together. The first bedroom has a king bed plus a full bath with whirlpool tub. The second bedroom has two double beds plus a full bath. The large living room offers two seating areas, a half-bath, a free-standing wet bar with small refrigerator and a dining table for six people. The living room includes either a sleeper sofa or a Murphy (Sico) bed, bringing the occupancy to 6 people. The Executive suites are set up primarily for entertaining and are generally used by executives staying at the resort for conventions. Executive suites are priced at more than 6 times the cost of a standard room.

Have you ever tried the Mickey hot chocolate mix? It's available at various World locations like the Emporium at MK or the Disney Store in DTD. It's my son's absolute favorite. He loves the Sorceror Mickey Blue (literally turns blue when you add water) and the Mickey Chocolate Chocolate extra creamy. I bought them for him as stocking stuffers a few years back & he was hooked - so now we keep them 'in stock'. They're not cheap (is anything at Disney?, LOL) 11.00 a tin, I think. I don't know if they're actually that much better, or if it's just the nostalgia factor. But I thought it might be fun, especially since you're making your own. Just a thought...

Hi!
We just booked CSR for 12 nights in Sept. for free dining, I am thrilled. My daughter has a serious medical condition and seizures. From Casistas(sp.) building 1 how far is it to the quiet pool and how far of a walk to the dig site? I was told it was right net to the Pepper market, is that true and how far of a walk? Thank-You all so much for any info you have.
Thank-You,
PammyPoppins

We just booked CSR for 12 nights in Sept. for free dining, I'm thrilled. I'm jealous!

From casitas 1, how far is it to the casita 4 quiet pool? It's not far at all. Depending where you are in casita 1, about .16 miles.

How far of a walk to the dig site? About .35 miles. You can ride the interal shuttle as well.

I was told it was right next to the Pepper market. Casita 1 is connected to the main building and is close to the Pepper Market and Maya Grill.

Check the map on my website below. The whole walk around CSR is .97 miles.

Thank You Buzz for the Great info. We first booked all Star Sport because the first day of free dining I was told Cornado was not avaliable for our dates but I saw on the website last evening it was so I called and booked it.
We have never stayed at CSR before and we are thrilled.
Thank-You,
PammyPoppins

I would like to have bottled water shipped to the resort for our upcoming trip. Could someone please post the address I would use? Thanks! :upsidedow

Well, I am in with the July 4 crowd. The wife and I will be at CSR from July 1-6. I booked it about a month ago and only found this thread 2 days ago. I have read every post in this thread() and there is so much great info here. Thanks to Mario and all the others for sharing all the knowledge. I am so geeked and ready to go. This will be my wife's first Disney experience and my second. My first trip was around 1983 when I was 5, so this might as well be my first. I sure am treating it like my first and am going to soak it all up. Have great vacations everyone!!
