Buzz,

Can I aks you a couple of questions. What area should we request a room if we are looking for quiet location. We just paid for a standard room, but we were hoping for a lake view and some quiet. Maybe we should upgrade? Should we request a lake view and does it cost quite a lot to upgrade to a lake view? Also, have you ever stayed at the WL - how does CSR compare to the WL? It seems that CSR looks nicer than the WL when I look at pictures. Is this true? One last thing, can you tell me why you love CSR so much - I want to get excited about staying there. Thanks for any info.

Buzz, PLEASE answer this question. Does Pepper Market have caffeine free diet coke? You are an expert when it comes to CSR, so if anyone can answer it, I know you can. Thanks:flower3:

I don't think they do but I'm not 100%.

Should we request a lake view and does it cost quite a lot to upgrade to a lake view? I wouldn't upgrade. I've stayed in all 3 sections and never had issues with noise. Casita 5, rancho 7b or cabana 8a, 8b or 9b.

Also, have you ever stayed at the WL - how does CSR compare to the WL? You can't compare a deluxe to a mod. CSR only has double beds and exterior hallways. I do think CSR has a better pool, transportation (not shared) and is more centrally located to all the parks.

It seems that CSR looks nicer than the WL when I look at pictures. That depends on what you like. I think it does but I don't care for the lodge look being from the Northeast. I'd rather vacation at a resort like CSR that reminds me of Cancun.

One last thing, can you tell me why you love CSR so much - I want to get excited about staying there. I just fell in love with the place from the minute I step foot onto the property. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and at night it's paradise. The use of lights all around the resort is spectacular.

Have a great trip!!

Buzz,
First of all thank you for all this great information!
After reading this I'm thinking that Cabana 9b or 8a might be the best? We have two girls that will be 5 & 7 when we go in July. In Nov. we stayed at POFQ and were very happy to be by the bus stop when they would fall asleep and have to carry them to the room. Would 9b or 8a be good if this happens again? My girls like the looks of the dig site at CSR so we are exicted to give it a try. We are only staying 3 nights. Could you tell me is there a certain area that the convention people seem to stay in? I would prefer to be with families but also don't want it too loud with the pool. Could you tell me how do the bussses run? Which stop is first on first off?
Thank you again!:)

Dancemomnj >> I was recently at CSR, and stayed in Casita 5. It is close to Bus Stop #2, which is the first stop on all of the routes for both pick-up and drop-off. This was great for early mornings at the park, and late nights back from Downtown Disney or Pleasure Island. (Love the Adventurers Club!)

Casita 4 is actually a bit closer to that bus stop, I believe, if distance is an issue. Also, Casita 5 is a bit of a hike to El Centro (the main building) and the Pepper Market although the walk is quite lovely and relaxing if the weather is nice and you're not already tired from a long day at the park.

Have a great trip! I had such a wonderful time, and wish I could have stayed longer. Guess I'll just have to go back again. Soon.

I would say that cabana 8a or 8b are closest from a bus stop. The pic below is from bus stop 4 looking at cabana 8a. 8b is to the left out of the photo. Really the way the stops are spread out, no matter where you are you shouldn't have a far walk.

My girls like the looks of the dig site at CSR so we are exicted to give it a try. We are only staying 3 nights. Could you tell me is there a certain area that the convention people seem to stay in? They are mainly in the casitas but can be spread out all over the resort. Some conventioneers bring there families so its hard to tell them apart sometimes.

I would prefer to be with families but also don't want it too loud with the pool. The pool is surrounded by trees and really doesn't cause any noise issues.

Could you tell me how do the buses run? Park buses start at bus stop two then go to 3, 4, and 1. DtD and Park exit buses start at bus stop 1 and then go 2, 3, 4.

The only thing that scares me about casita 4 is the conventions. If you happen to get a noisey group, they tend to hang out by the quiet pool there.

Buzz, thanks for the advice! Are Cabanas 8a & 8b far from the food court? It must also be nonsmoking.

They are about 5-7 min walk to the food court or you can hop on a shuttle. But very close to the pool and bus stop 4. You can also fill your mugs or get a coffee at Siestas during there hours. Cabana 9a is the ONLY smoking optional building at CSR.

Great to know! Thanks!

The only thing that scares me about casita 4 is the conventions. If you happen to get a noisey group, they tend to hang out by the quiet pool there.

There were 2 conventions taking place over the course of my stay. For one, they had a huge party near the Dig Site and there was a live band (I think) since the sound carried clearly across the lake. Lots of conventioneers all over the place so I didn't get either of my requested spots (Casitas 1 or Cabanas 9B). Still, I had a great stay and enjoyed the morning/evening walks to Pepper Market for coffee or pop.

I'd definitely stay there again, and hope that my next experience with mousekeeping generates more consistent toiletries. (Instead of top-ups every day, I got some on my first day, nothing for a day, some for a couple of days, then back to the full complement for my last two days.) Bizarre.

Booked my stay because of all your great info on CSR, Mario. Thank you for all the great advice, information and work you do promoting the resort!

How about conventioneers at Casita 3?

I was there one year and we were all sleeping around 11pm and all of a sudden there was a private fireworks show over the lake at CSR. It was great. we watched from our window in cabana 8a. You never know what a convention is willing to pay for at CSR.

convention guests are placed all over the resort but from what I've seen or read about, the quiet pool at casita 4 seems to be the preferred quiet pool for their after convention get togethers. I'm not saying this happens daily, just that it can happen. I'd rather have guests be prepared than surprised.

I'm heading back to CSR May 16-26! We stayed there last year and absolutely LOVED the resort! Hopefully some good AP codes will come out soon!

we just got back and stayed in casitas 3. It was wonderful. close to the pepper market and covered walkway. Beautiful courtyard with flowers, and water fountain. There was a reception of some sort one night. I didnt even hear it. It was set up by the fountain. Sometimes I could hear the fountain in the evening - it was shut off at night. Loved the location- we are not pool people per say so it was the perfect location for us.
