well I'm off on Saturday :woohoo: I rang CSR last night to try and link our 3 seperate parties that are going and about my grandfather's back and leg problems in the hope that we will be able to get something close to the main building. She promised to pass all of this on to the room assignor so I'll let you know how I get on when I get back. A huge thankyou to Buzz for maintaining this thread so well, it was your fantastic work that inspired me to book CSR 18 months ago and I can't wait to eat a wet burrito, stroll Lago Dorado and slip n slide down the jaguar slide. Will report when i return home :wave2:

We're leaving Saturday too...1st time at CSR.

Have a great time; well be there in a month or so.

Let us know where you stayed and how you liked the resort. And the pool, please tell us all about the pool.

8 days and COUNTING* until our FIRST stay at CSR! we arrive next Friday Oct 27 into MCO at 2pm and will be using the Magical express to get to CSR...hoping to get to the resort by 5pm and then hit downtown disney friday night!

:cool1: :cool1:
Same night we are getting there but we are driving in just for the weekend. This will be our first time at CSR after many many many attempts to book there using the AP rates but was never sucessful until now. We've got MNSSHP to go to that evening, BB the next day (it closes on Sunday or Monday for refurb from what I recall) and EPCOT Sat evening. Hope to hit the pool slide Sat sometime but BB may take the wind out of that sail. Probably AK Sunday before we head back. This will be the first time that it will be DD and DS only, as DW needed to work Sat.

We are leaving for CSR on Saturday 10/21 too! It will be our first visit and we are also traveling with three parties (my mom, my in-laws, dh and 4 kiddos). Can't wait!!!! I hope we love CSR! :goodvibes

There are laundry facilities in each section near the quiet pools. Washers and dryers are $2 each.

Buzz-

Thanks for the informative site, you website is great too. We are going in about two weeks, stayed at CSR before a while ago and have some questions?

Is there a curtain that seperates the sink area from the room?

Does the clock have a cd player?

Thanks :goodvibes

Is there a curtain that seperates the sink area from the room? yes

Does the clock have a cd player? no, only in the suites

Buzz,
Can you tell me if there is a walkway from the BB to CSR? I will be going to Winter Summerland in Dec, during BB refurb and trying to figure out transporation issues.

Thanks

Yes there is a sidewalk on the opposite side of the street from CSR to BB.

Thanks for the response. Is it a long walk? We will have a car but prefer not to have to use it. Would you walk or use the car? Thanks again!

I think it is about a mile or so walk.

Hey Buzz, I have a goofy question. I know this is the resort thread but I just went to your CSR webpage. I noticed the meat counter picture in the PM. Is all of the PM considered a counter service on the dining plan? Thanks for all the info and good job on your website! It was extremely helpful!

Yes and you can get any of it since it is counted as CS.

Ribeye Steak, Potato, Vegetable - $18.95
Grilled Tuna w/Rice Medley & Veggies - $15.95
Carved Roast of the Day - Market Price

Enjoy!!

...and don't forget the burritos...and the chinese...oh yeah, the pasta section...and the burgers...all counter service DDP!

Do you know if requesting certain sections at CSR would cost more than a standard room? I asked my AAA agent about this and she thought preferred areas would add additional cost. Since I booked with AAA she has to call WDW and add preferences on for me.
Thanks
Lisa

CSR does not have preferred sections, only waterview or standard view rooms. So if you want a certain section, request it because each section has both type of rooms.

Buzz,
Thanks for the informative sight. It was a big factor in my decision to go to CSR right after Thanksgiving. Because we are going for our 15th anniversary and bringing the kids, I looked into the suites, but they were a little to pricey. Does CSR have rooms with connecting doors? And more importantly will they guarantee them?

Thanks

50% of the rooms at CSR are connecting rooms so your chances are good, especially with the kids.
