Have a great trip!!

Buzz, I have a water view reserved. Do you know where most of them are? I really don't like the look of the Ranchos and prefer(and requested) Cabanas...Are there a lot of water views in the Cabanas?

Just returned from CSR and loved it. Absolutely beautiful. Although I am new to DIS boards, we have stayed at ASMu, ASMo, Dixie Landings, POFQ, CBR and AKL and I must say this resort is my favorite. We stayed in the Ranchos section - very close to bus stop and the awesome pool. My older son loved the slide and my younger son who cannot swim yet suprizingly felt very comfortable in the pool due to lengthy steps along the inside of the pool (as did my 2 year old daughter). We spent a relaxing day taking a surrey bicycle ride and renting the Boston Whaler. Such lovely grounds. Unfortunately this will probably be the only time at this resort since we are a family of 5 now and a junior suite is out of range but I am so glad we experienced this very scenic and enjoyable resort. Thank you for all of your info and photos.

The cabana village has the most waterview rooms but also has the least amount of rooms. Waterview rooms are located in each section and don't forget that waterview can be a fountain and/or quiet pool.

Glad you had a great trip!!

I was in the cabanas during our last trip. It seemed to me that most rooms were water views. We were cabanas 9b (very recommended) and most of the rooms were either facing the large lake or on the opposite side they were facing a lazy river. I was hard pressed to find a room in that section that was not a water view. Beautiful views all!

I am really enjoying all the great info. Just upgraded from PC to CSR for a September reservation.

We're trying to decide on a moderate to stay at for 2 nights before our cruise in June. All of this information is so helpful :thumbsup2 We are leaning towards CSR but having trouble picking a room location. I like the Casitas and the Cabanas section. :confused3 Anyone have a favorite location??

Thanks. Not the news I was hoping for, but what can you do?

Is there Internet access available in the rooms, and if so, how much is it?

I guess dial up is still available for the price of the call. High speed internet is also available for $4.99 per hour or $9.95 for 24 contiguous hours.

I haven't had a dialup account in about 7 years now. :)

I found a list of free wireless hotspots in the Orlando area. Now I just have to consider if it is worth taking the time to drive to them.

Thanks for the information, always best to have correct information.

Buzz2001 - or anyone who may know...

Hair wraps - the kind where they bead some stings of hair - does CSR have the same type of thing at the CSR pool ? Our DD missed out doing her hair with beads at the WL pool. She wants to do it on our next trip.

We just returned from 11 nights at CSR and I was disappointed that they didn't have a hairwrap station nor the tattoo station. Also, NO MICKEY BARS on the premises. They sell Blue Bunny ice cream novelties! I thought that was weird. Every other resort we have stayed at sold the same ice creams you can get in the parks. I even asked a manager and he said they do not have any of those items there.

We never asked about the hair wraps so I can't tell you whether or not they do them at the salon.

I have seen a hair wrap station at the pool and also in the patio area just off the reservation entrance. I don't think they are there all the time though. I don't think I have ever seen a tattoo station.

The wrap station by the pool is no longer there, or at least the nice station they had. They may set up a temporary spot to do it. Didn't really make sense by the pool since you can't get it done with wet hair. I have seen an artist that does caricatures outside the Pepper Market on certain days.

We were there late June and were told there was no hair wrap at all..
Ended up having to go have it done at DTD (had promised DD she could have her hair wrapped - waited about 45 minutes - it was very popular that evening!)

You can request the Cabanas at CSR. I faxed in a room request 4 days before my trip and was in the exact building i had requested. They were extremely accomodating!
