I don't think the Pepper Market will be open that late I would recommend either getting something to eat at the airport before leaving Philly or taking something with you in your carry on for later. :) Linda

We also just returned from CSR, thanks buzz for all the advice we loved it and already booked it again for next Aug/Sept. We also stayed in the Cabanas 9A, what a great location not far from El Centro or the digsite and we loved the quiet pool for a quick dip, after the parks. My DH threw in some laundry and sat by the quiet pool and read the newspaper which he got right at the machine by the laundry room, there are also bathrooms at the quiet pool and the pools were open till 12 am. We enjoyed dinner at the Maya grill and lunch at the pepper market. The food at the poolside snackbar was just okay, but more convenient than drying off and going into the foodcourt like the values, and plenty of tables for eating and plenty of poolside chairs. A couple of times we caught a ride on the courtesy shuttles they have riding around the main walkways. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. It's a very peaceful and relaxing resort even during the labor day weekend. We can't wait to return. :) Linda

Am I reading this correctly that the pool is open to midnight...?
Also, are the beds pillow top? Thanks

We will be arriving Christmas Eve, late, around 11:00 - will the Pepper Market still be open for snacks? I also worry about it being a holiday and closing early....we will leave Philadelphia around 7:30:woohoo: , hoping to arrive in Orlando around 10:00:cool1: , then to Magical Express:yay: , then to resort.:cheer2:

Any opinions?:confused3 :flower3:
The Pepper Market closes at 11:00pm

Am I reading this correctly that the pool is open to midnight...? yes but lifeguards quit at 8:00pm.

Also, are the beds pillow top? yes

Question for you guys!

We booked CSR and paid already. I requested Cabanas 8A/B and made note that we really wanted to be close to the dig site and not too far from a bus stop.
We also are part of a grand gathering and we would like rooms adjoining or on the same floor.
AND the CM over the phone recommended we get water view too. I don't remember why, but I did agree to it at the time.

Now, I am concerned that we will get Water view, but not Cabanas 8A/B. Do you think I should call back and cancel the water view in order to more likely ensure our room? Or just roll with it and hope for the best?

My main concern is the walking for the kids.

Thanks in advance,
Laura

Cabana 8a and 8b have both views so you should be safe either way. Just remember that requests are not guaranteed.

Okay, I think I'll leave it alone. I don't really want to mess with it and if we did get a decent water view (hopefully not a fountain LOL) then that wouldn't be too bad. I think it was only a $100 difference?

Took The Advice Of Buzz And Stayed At Cabanas Last Trip. Had Corner Room With View Of Lake And Quiet Pool. Great Location, Close To Dig Site And Bus Stops......thanks Buzz.

it's probably on here somewhere already....but what is the room internet access like? My fiance wants to buy a laptop (no...not JUST for the trip), and I suggested that I thought he could use it in our room. Just wanted to check the internet status!
Thanks!

I am not sure a laptop would fit in the wall safe- just something to think about.

Our laptop (a newer, "smaller" one) definitely would not fit in the wall safe in our room at CSR. We were happy that we decided to leave it at home.

I was wondering. Do the rooms have clocks in them? I like to have a clock in the room and was wondering if I needed to bring mine from home. We have 4 days and then we are there..can't wait.
