The new Chicken McGriddle

n-a-s-t-y. Some of the stuff they come up with now amazes me. Not only in how gross it is (which is purely subjective, so that's just my $.02), but how wickedly unhealthy it is too. This isn't the worst of them for sure, but the taste combo doesn't sound appealing for me.

However, I have to give McDonalds credit. I don't eat it, but they have certainly done quite a nice job in expanding their menu. Many of us here remember the day when you could order anything you wanted from McDonalds...as long as it was a hamburger and fries. And heaven forbid you ask them to make it without pickles, they looked at you like you had 3 heads. Their menu has really broadened and even has healthy options now. I think that's wonderful. But some of the bizarre combos, are simply that...bizarre.

Our Maccas has expanded a bit as well.

My daughter works at mcd's and she hasn't heard of this coming up any time soon. She's also quitting in two weeks to start her next adventure at Booster Juice. I guarantee I won't care what's going on in the world of smoothies lol

I have asked that on her last day she steal me a crate of chicken nuggets, and mcgriddle cakes. We'll see how it goes..

(Not kidding about asking, mostly as a joke).

My brother was the packaging supplier for one of McD's vendors (McRibs, Mcnugget and Sausage). They used to give him boxes of the stuff in frozen form. Believe it or not it's not as awful as you would think. He got to see them make it. Anyway the McRibs were popular and he would be mobbed by the office workers if he brought the box back to work. I was not a fan of them in store but the patties themselves weren't bad I just used a different bbq sauce. I like their sausage. In my area they are also one of the suppliers of the Great Value Brand frozen sausage patties so sometimes I get them for breakfast sandwiches at home.

I never understood the chicken and waffles thing to begin with. Sounds nasty to me. I do however like my sausage covered in syrup so the McGriddle is good to me but I am with another poster - chicken is for lunch or dinner. Not breakfast :-)

I love chicken; I love waffles but at two different meal settings!

I love chicken and waffles. The salty and sweet combo is one of my faves. But I hate maple syrup. I think it's the devil. SO I don't think I'll be trying this.
