We know North Wales quite well - we've had some great holidays on the Lleyn Peninsula. Great beaches for paddling in wellies in winter. We've also stayed at Llangollen a few times

Aww havent been that way much...

This is one of our lastest finds...HERE we're gunna try camping there... we just happened to drive past it.... just looked stunning from the road.

Teach me some Polish then

It's patchy now (I haven't been with my Polish GF in about 18 months), but I still remember a fair bit.

Pronounciation is a pain and easier to read about than for me to try to explain - I've tried to bracket a vague attempt at pronunciation though)

We're near the sea and lovely rivers........... Even with a resident Heron that lives on the edge of the little waterfall.......... :goodvibes

Dont see why an English person couldnt pass a Polish GCSE. Im stubborn over things like that as well - would do it just to prove someone wrong.

I'll ignore the comment about the history GCSE this time but if it happens again I cant promise to be as nice :rotfl:

That's exactly why I want to do the GCSE - she was high and mighty because she breezed an A* at GCSE and A at AS because she had 2 Polish parents, so was bilingual from birth. Apparently, she didn't want to do the A level because it would actually involve doing some work.

Please note: the above statement only applies to the person I'm talking about and I certainly don't think that all Polish people or people with 2 Polish parents, bilingual people etc... are high and mighty about it, so please don't take offence if you fall into any of these categories - it's not aimed at you at all.

Wales looks really nice in places. I went there for my leavers camp at the end end primary school (though I moved at 13, not 11). We stayed not far from Snowdonia and it was really nice. We actually walked up and down the mountain one day as well.

We have a Heron that visits us in our garden - its a pain tough as it pinches all the fish from our pond

hehe, wouldn't expect you to. It comes in useful when I go to Slovenia, as the languages are fairly similar...

Polish is one of the easiest Slavic languages to learn though, because it's alphabet is all Latin letters, just with a few accents thrown in on certain letters. The pronunciation is very regular as well, so if know the rules, then you can read any word (assuming you can get your tongue around the constant groups).
 
We have 6 badgers come to ours, who break every plant pot between them and any food.

And two deer who eat all of our roses, lol.
 
The cats cant get to ours coz of the way its made - they'd have to jump in

The cats normally do splash into our pond, but sadly they're stupid cats that don't learn that its very easy to fall into the pond.......... :sad2:

My Mam's friend has a cat that is totally agraphobic..... She panics if she looks out of the window- Bless her!

That sounds more like round here!! Not the deer, but foxes, hedgehogs, badgers, etc.........

.....Like I say though a deer nearly ran into the side of my car the other day..... It was unreal!!
