I really hope my Dad takes us camping next year in the South of France, they was the best holidays when i was little.

Indeed - never been there and it looks fantastic, so I'm quite looking forward to it...

I think I may end up with trip overload at this rate if I go everywhere I potentially have lined up:

Seattle next month
Germany in November
DLRP in January
Slovenia in March
Las Vegas in May

Where next I wonder? DLRP in the summer maybe? :rotfl:

Gosh - your Mum will be renting out your room at this rate :rotfl:

Is the Germany trip with work as well? Whereabouts in Germany?

Whereabouts do you think you might go Emma? We love going camping - but with a little luxury in either a ready erected tent or mobile home

Ooh Vegas, I love Vegas, especially the Bellagio (or the high roller suite we somehow managed to get when we stayed at the Vennetian 6 years ago. We are so not high rollers so don't know how that one happened the suite was 4 times the size of my house and came with a butler!!)

No, the Germany trip is a Quaker trip, so it will be highly luxurious and very expensive...

The November one last year was held in Brussels and cost me €15 plus about £80 in Eurostar and Train to get there... Accomodation was a sleeping bag on the floor of the Meeting House (think church) that we were staying in.

This year, it's in Bad Pyrmont, so I'll probably fly. I need to get in touch about how on earth somebody with no German would find their way there.

My mum won't do tents again, she says she's too old  So first time in mobile home for us.

I'm hoping we can go to a campsite called La Sirene i went there when i was younger and loved it. I'm just waiting for my Dad to agree. Its near Argeles-sur-mer i think lol.

Seriously a butler. The suite had 2 jacuzzies, a sauna (seriously you need a sauna in your room in Las Vegas!), a steam room, one of those all over body jet showers, a regular shower, 4 toilets, a wet room, a dressing room, 2 bedrooms and a lounge with a 12 place marble dining table! Oh and a view of both ways on the Las Vegas strip!! And that was just for DH and I!! It really was how the other half live. Shame I'm not the other half!

I looove Vegas!! Where will you stay?

There are SO many hotels I wanna try there!!

Holidays and Weddings are the two things I could talk about alllllllll the time!!

Cannot wait for mine 8 days - woooo!

Sounds like something my grand-parents would opt for... If they do that though, I think I'll just get them to book me a single room elsewhere in the hotel - even with single supplement, that will probably still work out cheaper than a share in the suite :rotfl:

Ive done a lot of sleeping bags on floors of Church halls in my time - when I was younger. Its usually a lot of fun

How did you manage that?!?!

No idea where we'd stay - we haven't looked into it that much yet. They've just decided they're going and I've been invited. I love travelling, so I'm not going to turn the opportunity down :goodvibes

It's great fun, although less so when you get somebody who snores really loudly, which seems to always happen (and it's not me!!!) :goodvibes

How did you manage that?!?!

Haven't got a clue. We booked the cheapest room as I really wanted to stay there after I had seen a programme about the hotel on Discovery. When we arrived the check in lady said she was going to up grade us. I figured it was to a strip view instead of a back road view. We were wrong. It is a room that you can't actually book!!

:offtopic: I like writing about Quakers - I get to use the strange word Ffriends (not a typo and casing is correct and should not be as written there, even in mid-sentence).

Wow - I wouldnt have wanted to leave it. How the other half live as you say

Agreed - that sounds like checking into a DLH standard room and being told you've been upgraded to the Sleeping Beauty Suite...

hmm, I wonder :cloud9:
