For those people who don't have Small World's god-like translation powers (including myself), the english translation of the French (provided by Google, so it's no where near perfect), is:

At the end of the north pole or on the equator
there is a gen laughing there is a crying gen
the sun of noon, the midnight sun,
we all have the same life

At the end of the north pole or on the equator,
we always seem to come by the way,
but when one goes round, our joys, our problems,
we all have the same life.

yes, if you start trying to do it now. You can start by fixing Google's translation if you like

I've now updated the French on the previous page now that I've removed my typos and added in Small Worlds suggested fix for the book's odd typo.

I can get by, but my French isn't enough to do decent translations.

Aha - that's cheating. If you'd kept quiet, I would have been impressed.

Now I know that, I'm no longer impressed because that's like me comparing which one of us knows more about computers, as that's what my degree's in

My degree is in music, I am out of practice with that too!!

I'd find it quite hard to get out of practice at mine - I'm half way through an MSc in a specialist field of my original BSc degree, plus my full time job involves degree related work.

That depends how good you need to be to "play"...

I "play" piano / keyboard, although I can only play fairly simple pieces...

I might be able to play the grade 1 pieces with a little practice - my sight reading isn't too great though, especially in Bass Clef.
