I dont mind either... but atm the mousepad on my laptop drives me mad when I've been on it a while as it stops working..must be trying to tell me something

Im on it now and it will take some getting used to so posts may be slow for a while

Its an ACER Aspire one with an intel atom cpu. Its got 512 MB RAM and 8GB SSD with Linux OS plus 8.9" Crystalbrite WSVGA LCD screen.

Makes perfect sense to me - I'll actually look it up in a minute, but I think I know the one you're talking about.

Linux is very different and does take a little getting used to, but it's got a lot better than it used to be - just bear in mind that most of the stuff you can buy off the shelf wouldn't work on it - no Microsoft Office for example - it probably has a thing called Open Office instead. For what netbooks are designed for though, they're very good and if I didn't have my Macbook Air then I would have probably bought a netbook for home surfing by now

You can probably get a small mouse to plug in the side of it if you hate the trackpad that much - I personally have no problems using them and never did, but I know a lot of people hate them with a passion.

Personally, I'm a bit like that with the little mouse nubs (sorry, I can't think of a better way to describe them!) that sit in the middle of some keyboards.
