Was excited to read at the beginning of this thread that murphy beds are being added to accompany 5 in a room!! :cool1:

Although, when I check on the Disney website for various dates in 2015 it doesn't show availability. Has anyone been able to book a room for 5 for next year?

You cannot book for 5 yet and if you ask a CM about it they will tell you they done know when.

Not yet. I'm checking obsessively - I'd like to switch my BB from POR to CBR. I don't think anyone knows when, or at least the BB CM I spoke to said that while they were informed that CBR would become available for parties of 5, they hadn't been given a date...

I have 2 questions...

1. Does anyone have a screen shot of the online check in options?
2. Are the smoking sections located close to the rooms? I ask because my niece has asthma and smoke bothers her a lot (I'm not asthmatic and it annoys me as well). I was just looking at the map and it appears there are a lot of smoking areas :worried:

Check post number 10 on the first page of this thread, there are some screen shots of the online check-in choices.

Last time we stayed at CBR (2012) we were in a room in Barbados across from the little courtyard/smoking section.

When we were in the room you could NEVER tell when someone was smoking. The courtyard occasionally smelled like smoke, but wasn't bad. And it was always clean. What was actually very annoying was walking to OPR and everyone smoking on the benches on the way there! It was like walking through bursts of smoke. Everyday. We are (obviously) not smokers and I'm personally very sensitive to it (migraines). If you gotta smoke, you gotta smoke. And I'm not criticizing people who have to smoke in a designated area. They have to smoke in those areas - I just wish they weren't right on the main path. I didn't notice it in the room, but as I said, it was very noticeable along the walk ways.

Being close to a smoking area is one of my concerns as well. I have to carry my inhaler with me and I can't tolerate the smoke. Praying we don't get a room close to the courtyards because it is so confined.

I just called yesterday to have this noted on my reservation and was told that since it's a medical reason it will be honoured. If the room is NOT available when we check in we will be moved the following day. It is a HUGE problem for me and i don't want it ruining my holiday. Just call and let them know :thumbsup2

I called last night to have my room requests noted on my reservation, and also requested a pack-n-play. The CM I spoke with said it was good that I called in advance to request the pack-n-play, as they only have a limited number available. I thought it was interesting that she said that; I'd think it'd be very rare for them to run out but maybe it does happen during very busy times. Or perhaps more families with younger children who aren't in school yet travel in the off season.

When I spoke to them about which room in preferred we'd like, I said that as long as it was on the first floor for the ECV I didn't mind where we were - just as long as we weren't overlooking any smoking areas.

We were put in 2512 which faced a large courtyard with only shrubbery and paths. There had bench maybe one or two benches at some point (you can see the larger areas where they would have been) but it was just open and green.

I agree. I can't understand why they have a large smoking area right in front of Aloha Isle (or whatever it's called) at MK where you buy the Dole Whips. It's not nice to be buying and eating food with the smell of cigarettes just a few feet away.

Another question, then: This will be our first time on the dining plan. Do the items at the Grab-N-Go count for snack credits? Can I use snack credits in the morning to get a muffin or croissant?

Most items in the G n G are considered snack credits, so yup, you can. :)

Looks like in addition to the online check in, I'll be sure to call with my request.

Do you think an early check in will help or hinder my request?

I too feel everyone is entitled to smoke as they please as long as it does not impact non-smokers.
