I am surprising my sister and heading to CBR for Columbus Day weekend..... please add me to the roll call for 10/11/14 - 10/14/14. I am also looking at the week before Thanksgiving 2015 for my kids' first trip (ages 6 and a week before age 4 by that time!).

Yes, she paid more for a pirate room but wants to be in Jamaica or Aruba ( where the rest of the family has requested). Pirate rooms are the farthest away and we don't want to be in Martinique. She is hoping to downgrade, even if she loses the extra she paid.

When I was able to "down grade" from a pirate to a preferred, I was offered either a refund to my CC or a credit on my account.

Can anyone put my mind at ease? I've read a few people commenting online that the air con in CBR rooms is really loud. Now I expect to be able to hear it and find I get used to it over the stay and actually miss the noise when I get home (live in Scotland, no need for air con!) however some comments suggest it's so loud people have asked to change resorts. Is it that bad??

I was one who said it was loud, but certainly not loud enough to make me change resorts! However, I also have extremely sensitive hearing. If you're concerned, bring along some earplugs, those normally work for me.

We never had an issue in any of the our rooms. And we've not heard any of the people we've recommended CBR to say anything about it.

Great thanks! I don't remember it being a problem during our last stay but that was 2007. I've read it on another forum too so just wanted some reassurance. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Definitely Jamaica and Aruba plus most likely Barbados.

Hi,

We normally stay at the Poly, but this go around the budget may not allow with my DS going to college next year.

We would be either 3 adults because my son would be 18 and 2 kids, or if my DH does not go, 2 and 2. DH is not the Disney lover like the rest of us. He likes to be home.

I love the Poly for so many reasons, but the laid back tropical feel is very important.

What do you think?

My Kids would be 18, 15, and 12. Are they really too "old" for the pool and slide?

I have a question.. we originally booked a standard room, but now we want a preferred room. our dates are 12/17/14 to 12/27/14. each time we call, there are no rooms available. are there any chances we can get a preferred room? are there are buzz words I need to say to get one?

I have been trying to switch from a Pirate room to a preferred room (we want the QS beds more than the pirate theme lol) but because we booked with free dining they say none are available at this time. I'm REALLY hoping that we'll be able to downgrade when we check-in.

Keep calling. We also had a pirate room booked with free dining. It was all that was open at the time. It took a few phones calls, but finally last week I was able to do switch to a preferred room. I just wanted out of the pirate rooms location. Good luck
