Hi! Could you add my dates to the master list please? September 20-27. Thanks!![]()
I'm getting a little nervous about the bus situation to DTD. We have a BBB reservation in the late morning on the Tuesday of our trip. Should we be okay traffic/parking wise if we leave the resort early (say 9:00 AM) and just get to DTD early? Just trying to figure out my plan of attack.
Hello! Can you please add my trip to the master list? We will be staying at CBR Nov 13-16. Thanks so much!![]()

I am kind of nervous too about the transportation issues- do you think it would be best to perhaps drive over to POR and take the boat to DTD? The only thing is when you go to over to resort will they even let you park there to take the boat to DTD?? They may not. I am just curious which way would be best.
The transportation to DTD from any resort (we went to several) was a bit hectic when we were there in May/June. I'd plan on leaving as early as I could to get to DTD. Even if you arrive early, it's better than trying to scramble and the headache of worrying whether or not you'll arrive on time.
As far as driving to Port Orleans and taking the boat, I'm sure that they'd allow you into the resort if you were to say that you were looking around but I am not sure how long they'll allow you to park there if you don't have a resort parking pass. At times, the traffic started getting heavy right around the intersection where you turn to go to the Port Orleans resorts. (Having said that, we mostly traveled to DTD during the afternoons/early evenings.) Also, the area where the boat docks at DTD was in the midst of all of the construction too. We went to the Port Orleans resorts to have a look around and it took us quite some time to get on the boat to DTD, dock and then and walk to our dinner reservation. So, I'm not sure that it would really save you any time going to PO and then to DTD.
Ok well thank you for the advice- I was just trying to think of what would be easiest thing to do. I guess we will just plan on getting the bus from resort then.
You are welcome. Honestly, I think that getting to and from DTD any time/any way, right now, is going to be a bit harder than normal.
The Nemo theme is going away with the current rehab. What village are the Nemo rooms located in?
Last time we were at WDW we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter. I was thinking of trying something new this next time, but the sheer size of this resort sort of scares me!I'm worried about waiting too long for buses to the parks and DD. The resort itself looks awesome though and the Nemo rooms are cuter than the French Quarter ones.
We are far northwest - Huntley, though I am originally from northwest side of city (not burbs)
I am really sweating this. We have an ADR on a Saturday night in DTDnot sure if it would be better to drive or take bus. I don't care about parking in across street lots, if we can even get that. But I hate the bus stops at DTD going back. It's a mess with everyone huddled together pushing and shoving to get on the bus. I'd cancel all together, but it was my moms pick, and it's her birthday. Haven't taken a bus to DTD in years, we always drive, now I'm re-thinking....

Thanks. Good to know about the Nemo rooms. I agree about the decor of French Quarter...that's why the Nemo rooms and Caribbean beach interested me so much. I do like the small size of French Quarter though. We are only going for a couple of days this time so we won't have a lot of time to explore and I don't want to waste time sitting on or waiting for buses. I want every minute in the park I can get if I only have 2 days there!![]()
Quite honestly, I wouldn't worry about wasting a lot of time waiting on the buses. We've stayed at the resort during early to mid-August, mid-May through first couple of weeks of June with Memorial Day, 24 hour celebration and Star Wars weekends falling within most of our travel dates. The longest wait that we ever had was about 30 minutes and that was waiting for a bus in the middle of the day and not peak resort to park travel time. Most waits were well under the 20 minute time that the buses are supposed to run.
Unless the buses have to load a scooter or wheelchair, the loop around the resort won't take long and you'll be on your way to a theme park. The CBR is centrally located so the rides are not long at all.
