We'll be returning to CB in April 2015 for 14 nights. First time back at the CB since our Honeymoon in 2006. Stayed in Jamaica 44 then and we're hoping to get Jamaica again with a refurb room.

My husband and I are planning on getting a king room and were going to ask for Jamaica for a renovated room. Are they renovating the king size rooms, too? Also, is there any certain view that we should ask for? Anything that we should know? We first went here for our honeymoon many, many years ago, so this should be fun.

Does anyone know if they will let you use a sweeper? I am using space saver bags to pack so that I am not filing my parents car with just my luggage. They take the train from Lorton and we all put our luggage in it to save on baggage fees ( it also gives us a vehicle to get around in case we want to drive instead of Disney Transportation) plus we pack some water and pop (husband is a Mountain Dew fanatic and says it doesn't taste the same if we buy it there). I have the ones that you roll and take the air out of that way and the ones that you need a sweeper to suck the air out of. Just needed to know if they would let me use a sweeper. Thanks

How do you know it's completely booked? I have checked several dates and it's showing available. Some dates even still show FD available.

I'm referring only to CBR going by the dates Disney has listed on their website. If you go under the offer details for FREE dining, then choose moderate resorts, the available dates will pop up. Only one available for CBR is Nov. 20th.

I recently got the chance to see parts of Carribean Beach (was taking the bus from Typhoon Lagoon to Downtown Disney, picked up the first bus I saw) and I thought it was beautiful.

I was wondering if the resort was usually part of the offers (20-25-35% off or Free Dining) ...

I would really like to try it next year. Especially since they are currently in refurbishments.

It looks great.

I believe it is one of the largest resorts, so it is generally included in the promotions. This year it is one of the only 2 mods to be included in the free dining promotion.

It is indeed our favorite resort!
CBR has in most recent years been part of the Free Dining program. This year, it is sold out except for Nov 20th. Next year, if it is part of the Free Dining again, just be sure to validate your vacation dates and book early.

Yes, they will let you pick your top two preferences when checking in online, however, I strongly suggest you also submit a verbal request via phone about 7-10 days before you get there. There are no guarantees you will get your requests, though. And I would also kindly remind the CM who takes your photo id at check in (who needs to see your photo ID), if you were able to get your preferences.

These are the options for CBR:
Aruba Village
Jamaica ""
Trinidad N "" *note Trinidad S will not be included -those are pirate rooms only
Ground Floor
Barbados
Martinique (this is where the marshmallow roast is each night)
Corner Room
Second Floor

Yes, they are renovating the King rooms too.

We like Jamaica 45. It's a very short stroll across the bridge to OPR and the main pool. And it's very close to the Jamaica bus stop. They are done with Jamaica 41, 42 and 43 and those buildings are currently housing guests. Jamaica 44 is done but no guests yet and 45 is about 75% completed. I don't know what village they will start on next, but I would bet whichever one they do next would be completed by November.

Yay for getting a pirate room! I bet that your kids are loving it! Have a great trip.

They are loving it! Sunday was our pirate day with the pirate league and pirates and pals cruise and they kept telling everyone they were sleeping in pirate ships so far we love the resort and are happy with the room. We are here until Sunday and tomorrow is our day to hang around the resort and enjoy it.

We will be there Aug 30- Sept 7. First time back to CBR since our Honeymoon in 1994 ( 20 years) have been doing 2 rooms at a value, and tried POR once. Excited to be back!! Actually rented a condo in WH VERY cheap for the week (because their pool is being refurb in Sept) AND booked CBR with free dining! We need the extra room of the condo with 3 kids (2 teen girls) but booking 4 of us Disney adults with free dining, the room tickets, dining, and free parking saved us several hundred dollars vs. Buying tix and paying OOP for dining. My 7 yo and I can share meals (except buffets where he would pay OOP) AND we get to enjoy the beautiful pools and beaches and amenities at CBR. We can go back to the room for breaks and naps. We always rent a car anyway so it worked out great ~ just back to tje condo to sleep at night so everyone has their own bed and room!!!
