Hey there everybody! Count me in on the Beach Bum list! I will be down on Nov. 30 to Dec. 6! (I am staying 11/28-11/30 at ASMovies to avoid the higher holiday weekend prices.)

I have my lime Mickey on my luggage tag and I love to decorate the windows with gel clings or party streamers, etc.

Am I the only who wouldn't be upset if I got an unrefurbed room? I actually can't decide if I want a refurbed room or not. I previously didn't really look too close at CBR because the room decor didn't really appeal to me primarily the bedspread. I am definitely one who is happy all the ugly bedspreads are gone across property. Then I finally saw pics of the rooms with just the white bedding and the runner, now I really liked the room design, especially the green-whitewashed furniture. But I also like the new designs I have seen for the new rooms. The bed size doesn't matter, I am traveling solo. The only thing I would NOT want would be the pirate rooms.

Hello!!! I'm new to this and so excited about all the great info I am getting on this... Can you please add our dates Dec. 13-19. We are a group of 17. 9 adults and 8 children. This will be our first time staying in any Disney Resort. Quick question.... If you get a room with a Murphy bed will that take away your fridge???

Congrats on your first Disney stay! No need to worry, you will still have your fridge.

Good Evening All!
We're booked in the "Pirate" section. Not my first choice, but all that was left for the dates & FD. I know I'll be the furthest out and none of the rooms will have any kind of upgrades (queen beds or new decor), but just how bad is it going to be? I haven't seen much posted about the rooms since all the talk is about the new stuff.

I'm hoping to get into any other room upon check in, but not holding my breath. Thanks!

No worries, the pirate rooms are not getting an upgrade because they don't need one.

Just booked CBR for 5/9-5/16/2015!! Took advice from this thread and just booked a standard room and will request a room in Jamaica. So excited!!

We are spending my son's birthday in March 2015 (Spring Break) at Disney. Even though he is a complete deluxe snob, he has enthusiastically said we should give CBR a try. Yay!!! (Photos of the pool sold him).

Do you think at lease some of the preferreds will be done by the end of March/first week of April 2015? I would be fine in Jamaica, because we would want to be near the feature pool. However, I would prefer to guarantee that with a preferred room. On the other hand, the only way I would stay at this resort is if we have a queen bed.

I am currently booked at POP for Dec 2015 but situations have changed and I am adding a fifth person to my trip. I am trying to decide on which resort to stay at and so far all that I can book on the website that is within my budget is POR. I will stay there if there is no other option but right now it isn't too appealing to me. My question is does anyone have any idea when CBR will be available to book for 5 people on the Disney website?

So having booked a standard non-preferred room for Marathon Weekend in January, odds are pretty good that, unless they decide to upgrade me randomly like last year, I *should* most likely get a refurbed room? Assuming they stay on schedule of course.

Pretty sure you can request that on your online check-in form

It's never too early. I call and put in my requests immediately after I book our vacations (which is the same day the next year's prices come out). About three weeks before the trip, I call to make sure that my requests are still noted. I also ask upon check-in.

No one knows for sure yet. I know that the work/construction permit goes through Spring, 2015 so one would assume that the whole thing would be done by then. Have you tried calling Disney Travel? I know that they aren't always the most knowledgable folks but if you tell them that you know there are rooms that have the pull down bed and have seen pictures, they might actually look more closely at the time frame. Or at least see if they can did deeper by going to a supervisor or someone who might know.

Yes, they are in the newly refurbed room.

Would someone be so kind as to post the link to where you can go in and see what rooms have 2 beds/1 bed and where they are located. I know I have seen it somewhere but cant seem to find it. Thank You so Much.

Just returned last night from CBR, stayed from 8/19-8/26.We stayed in sec 46 in Jamica.The refurbished rooms are Fantastic.@ Queen size beds ,New carpeting,new showers.They look like there very buzy doing work in other sections. Any Questions just ask.
