Same here. She's 26 and she looks old to me. She has an old face...maybe it's the shape. My choice for not watching her though is not her looks. I just don't find her worth watching.

I've never seen the show- I find it idiotic and not worth watching no matter who the "star" is. What makes her not worth watching? Is she too smart and accomplished? Probably there won't be enough drama- the article in our paper said when the bachelor sent her home she was like, "Okay, bye"

I think this Maine reporter needs a little help with her Southern geography as Emily Maynard lives pretty far from Atlanta.

I think The Bachelor is pretty skeevy but I ended up watching the last couple episodes after reading the local coverage about Emily. I'm ashamed of myself, though, which should make it okay -- right?

She didn't look that old on the show...I think it was when she let her hair go back to it's original color that it made her look so much older.

I'm excited for her! Chantal (sp) is dating someone so she's the next choice! I hope she finds love!

I agree, I think it will be like Jillian's season. I'll probably watch the first episode and see how it is, though.

Perhaps she 'appears' older in the photos in that story???

I have always to find her almost child-like in many respects.

I found her to be very youthful in appearance and in attitude...
Her favorite date was that little carnival. (And they went to amazing places like Costa Rica and Anguilla!!!)

PS: I don't care what Ashley has said about her hair color. I in NO way see that brunette as her natural color.. Maybe it's somewhere in between??? I like to see her much better as a blonde or maybe dark blonde!

Their ratings are down but they're not out.

I watch it because I don't believe in the happily ever after mantra anyway, it's okay for happily right NOW.

The process is very much like real life, shallow fantasy is short lived. That's a given.

I also find her VERY young looking, she's somewhat built like a little boy! I think they made a big deal about her leaving, she emotionally dropped out of the running and he sent her home, no big deal. She appeared somewhat self conscious and unsure of herself. I prefer watching the show when the lead is confident and a WOMAN.

She's insecure and annoying. I really wouldn't want to listen to that voice for a whole season. I love some of her swimsuit photos and those are much better than on the show.

Actually, I have to question her intelligence. She says she's busy going to school to be a dentist, but she's on this show trying to find a man. If you were busy doing that, I would think it would be better to finish school if that's what your passion is. She doesn't seem very focused in her life.

WishingonaStar: I said her look was old, not her personality. I did read some comments on the internet about Ashley and some were very mean as far as looks go. So I want to make it clear that I don't think she's ugly, she just looks old.

My mom is looking forward to watching her though. She just loves Ashley! I just have a different opinion on her. Since my opinion doesn't mean anything on a national, regional or even a local level, you guys enjoy the show.
