It was a cloudy day. Well, not too cloudy because the sun was able to shine through gaps within the clouds, so I guess it was a partially cloudy day. But, there was more cloud coverage them partial, about 80% of the sky was covered with cloud. So, lets say it was a cloudy, but not complete coverage of cloud but more then partial so 80% is cloud, so sun is also able to peek through, day.

Purple prose to the extreme?

In my stories I tend to be overly descriptive, I suppose.
The old clock chimes five times, each one echoing as though the dimly-lit hallway was a cave in some far away land.

Actually, if you think about it, authors usually have about that much description in their published books. I think it's stupid that a lot of english teachers tell you not to do that much. I guess I don't know about every teacher but the ones that I've had told me that I overdo it too.

Haha sounds like some of the books I have to read for school Dx

Okay, so my purple prose isn't that intense.

Only I can get distracted from schoolwork by finding a term i've never heard of in the text, then making up examples to further increase my understanding of the term...

Yeesh the real problem with the sentence I posted is the verb tense changes xD

Ooopsies.

That's from a short story I did back in like, 7th grade.

The shutter slammed into the window rhythmically to the booming thunder and harsh lightning. Water poured from the heavens onto the roof, beating heavily and falling to the undeserving ground. Wind, like God’s breath, screeched through the trees and carried buckets of rain through the open window. Puddles glossed the hardwood floor.

I have never gotten a Sim all the way through college. Heck, I don't think I've ever gotten them through their freshman year.

The male 3ft4, 41,8lbs, 5 year old, height and weight being average for a child his age with brown hair, sort of like the colour of tree bark, maybe from an oak tree, and blue eyes, a similar colour to the sky, or maybe the sea, or maybe both mixed together, wearing a white T-shirt with 3 buttons that had a tiny rip on the left hand side at the bottom, a pair of blueish jeans that were probably a size too big but were held up with a big black belt, and a pair of black Nike shoes, child size 7, that were tied up with normal looking laces, and there was a light in the sole that lit up whenever pressure was put onto it, and he was wearing a pair of white sock, with a hole by the left toe, threw a large spherical round red ball, that had a diameter of 73.451cm, was made of rubber that ensured it bounced when it impacted with something, preferably the floor, which was a soft grassy surface but covered with mud, and the red colour was the colour of an apple when it was red instead of green, especially when dipped in toffee for Halloween, into the air.

Yeah...

A gentle twinkling of an heirloom music box fills the musty, hot old air. The remains of a silk-and lace wedding dress are draped casually over a red leather trunk. Streams of light pour through the small, dirty window, illuminating the thick amount of dust mulling in the air. Cobwebs hang lazily from rotten wooden supports. The entire room is bursting with artifacts of the past: discarded furniture, old papers, and what seems like hundreds of cardboard boxes. In a clearing away from the light sits a young woman. She stares at her reflection in the old iron mirror. Something seems different.

Her hair is still silky blonde and done up in a halo of ringlets that fall to just barely caress her shoulders. Her eyes remain the glittering emeralds they always were, and her skin is the delicate porcelain it always was. Cascading around her is a dress the mirror image of the one sitting on the trunk. Her dress, however, has seen better days. The lace is ripped in more than one place, and the fabric is gray with wear. White-gloved hands pick up an old photograph. She gingerly strokes the glass, causing the gloves to become soiled with dust. The picture is of her wedding; it is a frozen memento of the happiest day of her life. Her beauty is eternally remembered through it.

Her enigmatic eyes continue to scan the picture as she sits on the filthy floor, still away from the light. Like a deer, her head quickly turns to the staircase. There are footsteps creaking up the decrepit stairs. An elderly man slowly makes his way up the narrow steps. When he reaches the landing, he catches a brief glimpse of the woman sitting on the dusty floor; their eyes meet for just a second. He turns away in surprise, and when he returns his gaze—no one is there. Just a photograph of them with the dust brushed slightly off, and the gentle twinkle of a music box.

Teehee going through this computer is the best, all of my older vignettes are on here :p

Just doing a ton of maxmotives and boolprop testingcheatsenabled true to get skills easily and gain influence points.

If you influence someone to do your research paper, and do it at the same time as the other person you get double the points when you complete it.

I use maxmotives. the boolproop doesn't work for me for some reason. I go triple speed through everything.

I used Boolprop tons in Sims 2. I liked to keep their motives high so they would go through the skills quicker.

Ahh boolprop.. good times.
You can practically manipulate everything with that.

I constantly manipulated relationship points so I wouldn't have to try hard ot gain friends/love.

'course after a little bit the game gets tedious.

I still like Sims 2 better than 3 (and that's why I haven't bought it).

I want 3, but only when I get a new laptop that can handle the game without crashing.

It was a cold night.

It was a cold, around 2C which is 36F, which is what you would expect during Winter, but it's above average for December, especially compared to past temperatures on the same date, which was the 18th, which could be caused by Global Warming, which also shows from past results as the temperature slowly has gotten warmer, and it wasn't cold enough to snow, but 2C is pretty darn cold as ice freezes at 0C, night, as the time was 10:32 and 14 seconds, 15, 16, 17, anyway, sunset finished about 5:15 that day so it had been dark for a long time, so even if the time was 4 hours, 29 minutes and 51 seconds earlier it still would have been dark and probably considered night as the sun wasn't up anymore.
