The New and Improved Official Home of The Tagliarchy!

geffric, don't fret so much about the house. I used to obsess a lot more than I do now about that stuff. I bet they love coming to your house because it is more welcoming and homier (is that a word?) than theirs. I have a friend whose house is always perfect and I sit there and feel like I can't move and shouldn't touch anything. I have another friend where it's so inviting, a little messy and just has that "lived in" feeling. You feel like you can curl up on the couch and relax. Calm down, put your feet up for a bit and relax. With as many people as it sounds like you're feeding, who's going to be looking around the house anyway?

Laurabelle, I truly, really, deeply believe that chocolate does have healing powers. Thanks!

To answer Deadheadbelle's question, we take turns going to one or the other grandparents (our parents) houses. Except this year it's DH's parents turn and my DM is being a pain in my butt about it. She knows that we always alternate years so we don't have to run around like a turkey :teeth: with it's head cut off all day. Now I'm getting "well, you're going to at least stop by for a little, aren't you?" Ahhhhhh! I can't reason with her.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_100.gif' border=0></a>

Anyway, off to my in-laws we will be. DSIL, Nancy-pants, won't be coming, they're going to their lakehouse instead to dine with her parents this year. Whew! :hyper: My other DSIL, the one I'm best buddies with, will be there with her hubby and kids and just last night we found out that DFIL's sister and hubby are coming down from Toledo! DFIL is so happy! He tends to be a little moody and grumpy, the one thing that makes him so happy is his family. He's so happy it makes me want to cry. (Happy tears!)

We're going to play games, maybe "Outburst". I really want the new Trivial Pursuit game. Anything but football<img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_1_102.gif' border=0></a> That is one football-lovin' bunch! I can't stand it!

But there will be pie, lots of pie!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/1/1_4_7.gif' border=0></a>

Nephosaurus - thanks for being the keeper of the "tagless" list. Well, maybe except for that comment at the end about my tag. ;)

Our Thanksgiving plans? Staying home this year (since we're headed to WDW in a few days). As far as traditions, when I was a kid we always went around the table and said what we were Thankful for. Then we eat! ::yes::

It's great to be back! Thanks everyone! :grouphug:

Ohanafamily, I just want to thank you for all your hard work in keeping the tag fairy informed of who is in need of a tag.

Okay Thanksgiving. It's at my house this year. I invited my parents and Rob's (DH) family. This was before we knew about the Malaysia trip and before we knew that we might be cancelling the Malaysia trip and moving to FL. Had I known, I would have never volunteered. And, of course, EVERYONE is coming this year--the sisters, their DH's, their kids, their kids's boyfriends and girlfriends . 15 adults, 6 kids and 3 dogs--(one sister is bringing her 80 lb. dog because she lives out of town).

Rob has three older sisters. They are all 18 months apart and still bicker like they are teenagers. And yes, one of them is a "Nancy-pants" too. Actually, Nancy can have a sharp, mean tongue, but she also can be a lot of fun when she is in a good mood. I've got $20 bucks that she walks in the door and the first thing she says is (and she talks 100 miles per hour) "Barbie-everything-looks-so-beautiful-how-have-you-been-go-away-dogs-where-is-the-wine????" ;)

Bichon Barb gotta love family.
I need the wine to relax so I will start talking, otherwise the whole ordeal is PAINFUL.

We go to my hubby's Aunt's and EVERYONE on DH's side is there....cousins, their kids, Aunt's and Uncle's and in laws. It is BIG. That's TDay. I have to make something to bring and I don't know what to make.

Friday, we go to my mom/dad's and it is us and them.....a total of 6. Quaint and quiet. I will make the pumpkin pie.....I make the best.

LOL about the relaxing method. I hear ya. I am the baby of a family of four, but my siblings are quite a bit older than me. I am 38, DS is 48, DB (who passed away in 1/01) would be 57 and other DB is 56. So the boys were 16 and 17 when I was born, then the next year they were off to college and then living all of over the country doing their "hippie thing".

In any event, when I first started doing holidays with DH, it was quite a shock! There are five kids in his family all very close in age. (He also lost a brother in 1988.) And like I said, they razz each other constantly. The girls argue over things like "your rearend is bigger than mine". And potty talk is a big thing. It gets ugly (but really funny). ;)

Oh shoot. DH has been reading some of the threads on Florida. I hope he doesn't read this one, or I am in big trouble. Thankfully I didn't start talking about his family's jello salad obsession. :teeth:

Hi gang!

After Thanksgiving, things should calm down a bit here at work. I just realized that since I've been back from WDW, I have worked 31 days with only two days off in that time! I'm so tired.

Anyway, whenever I have a moment, I do add a bit more to my trip report. Hope you all are enjoying them!

Good afternoon! Thanks for the hot cocoa, Tigger Fans! It hits the spot on a cold day like today. Well, it's cold for Tennessee. ;)

geffric Your house sounds like a HOME. :)

RickinNYC Wow, you've been working a lot. I hope you get some time off soon! I'm enjoying your trip report very much, and am looking forward to the next installment. ::yes::

The question of the day... well, this year I'm working Thanksgiving. Mom is cooking, so after I get off DH and I will hop over to their house (which is just around the corner from us) for dinner with Mom and Dad. It'll just be us, so it will be a quiet dinner. :)

After work on Friday we'll get together with DH's family, then on Saturday we'll hop in Traveller and head south! Woo HOOO!

Offering warm chocolate cake to the Tag Fairy!

Yay! It’s a two-day work week for me. Today and tomorrow I work, and then five days off for Thanksgiving! I’m making pumpkin pie too. Mmmmm… And I have to see Santa in the Macy's Parade.
Too bad I’m staying here in cold Ohio and not going somewhere nice. Last year I got to go to Arizona, which was an awesome trip. My sister-in-law’s parents live in Sedona, a gorgeous place! I even got to see the Grand Canyon the day before Turkey Day. Everyone should go to the Grand Canyon, if you haven’t already!

Sadly, deadheadbelle was right about the OSU-Michigan game. No win for us this time! :( Oh well, we can’t beat ‘em every year. Wouldn’t be much of a rivalry, would it? And at least the Buckeyes were beaten by a good Michigan team. It seemed when Cooper was coach we always lost to Michigan even when the Wolverines weren’t having such a great year.
Chris Perry was just amazing. I really thought our defense was gonna stop him, but no way José. Too bad he plays for the wrong team…;) Maybe the Cleveland Browns will draft him!

Here's a tip for all the tagliarchy...ignoring the Tag Fairy does NOT entice them to tag you. Thought it might work, but onto new strategies!

Saturday night, we went to BIL's for a birthday celebration of our niece. After presents and cake, the kids went upstairs and were playing and screaming and having a great time. The adults were downstairs talking (sometimes about travel and Disney even). I would hear the kids upstairs, smile, and think to myself, "Those are the wonderous sounds of family!" Can't wait till our daughter is born! princess:

DW and I hosted a Thanksgiving dinner last night for her work (credit union branch). We had a great time and far too much food, but maybe the Tag Fairy would enjoy some Turkey???

Nephosaurus--Thanks for the 'props' in the crystall ball!:teeth:

I'm freezing!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_6_9.gif' border=0></a> It's supposed to 19 tonight. BichonBarb and the rest of you northerners, I don't know how you do it!

I have a shopping dilema. My DD-6 wanted this Hello Kitty dollhouse and I got it and thought I'd just be able to find the furniture that goes with it, no problem. Well, it turns out that the reason I got the dollhouse so cheap must be because it's discontinued because I can't find any furniture anywhere! :headache: DSIL says she'll help me find it, so I'm not alone in my mission. And I thought I was done shopping.:(

Cheerleading practice tonight!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_1_107.gif' border=0></a> It's so cold out, I don't want to go!

llebrekniT,, I went to ebay and plugged in "hello kitty furniture" and a few things came up. Don't know if that is what you are looking for though.

Oh yeah, and it ain't cold until you sniffle and the boogers in your nose freeze up.

There's nothing like the crunch of the snow under your feet when it's in the single digits.

How about when you leave the house with damp hair and it freezes solid. That's always pretty cool.

See that hill in my sig pic? Well, it dips down deeper than you can see. Very convenient hill for sledding back there. Except when you butt hits that dip.

Hmmm.... what dollhouse did you get your DD? Both the HK dollhouses I saw on Amazon.com/ToysRUs.com includes characters and furniture. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...9710294/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/102-9253153-9248939, http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t.../102-9253153-9248939?v=glance&s=toys&n=507846.

Or your eyes water because it's so cold and your teeth hurt! It is snowing here today.

LOL, ain't it the truth! It got really warm again here today -- 60's. But now the wind is whipping and the cold front is heading our way.

Do you ever try to blow steam rings when it's really cold outside? I do.

Brrrrrr! You guys are making me shiver. The low here tonight is forecast as 25. That is plenty cold enough for me!

Bichon Barb Sledding down that hill sounds like fun! I haven't gone sledding since college.
That was a few years ago. :teeth:

The more it goes
on snowing

and no one knows
how cold my toes

are growing

( Bet you did not know that i am the resident expert on Winnie the Pooh.. even did a term paper on Pooh for college... did one on Alice in Wonderland too.)

I Have some hot chocolate and some warm chicken soup to warm " you all'..
:jumping1:

It turned out to be a beautiful day today, and not too cold either. Unfortunately I was stuck at home most of the day waiting for contractors to come check things out. Of course one of them had to reschedule for tomorrow morning. But the plumber showed up, finally. Turns out we DO have a leak in the shower pan. :bounce: That's good news, since our insurance will cover damage from that. Now we just have to wait for all the paperwork to get to the insurance company so we can get going on the repairs.
