Good morning all. New to this thread....but I can see we are talking about some favorites.

Well.........I just had a bday....29 AGAIN :bitelip: and I got my favorite things: Lion King DVD and a new cozy Tigger sweatshirt.
Monsters Inc rates up there too......googullly.

Anyhow, any list I can be on to get TF dust....I am in.

I can't decide either.

I have to say my favorite Disney movie has got to be Lady and the Tramp. I will watch it until I get sick of it, put it away for a couple of years and start the cycle all over again. I also really like Song of the South. When Johny gets hit by the bull and all of the sharecroppers are praying for him...I still get a tear in my eye whenever I see that scene.

Non-Disney...I can't decide. I had a cult classic favorite while I was in College called Gotcha. I can't really decide what other movies... Remember War Games? That was a fun one to. I remember boycotting the film for a couple of years and then seeing myself as Matthew Broderick.

Oh, and Holiday.. A couple of years ago we watched a Scrooge Marathon of all of the different versions...Miracle on 34th street still brings a tear to my eye.

:bounce:

"As for non-Disney favorite, I don't know that I really have one. There are lots of movies that I like, mostly of the "Chick Flick" variety. And because that's the type of movie I like, I don't get to see many movies. It's just so hard to convince ohanafamily to see them with me."

RRBB it just keeps going like that too... Now the boys outnumber me , 2 DS and DH, and all I get to see are the action films... I have to sneak a "chick flick" in once in a while with the girl friends...on the other hand, when we are at Blockbuster and the boys are fighting ove what movie to get, I tell them if they can't decide and agree that I will make them watch a "Chick Flick" with lots of singing and kissing.

Hello, Did I mention My favorite movie is Cinderella? My favorite non-disney movie is Ever-After, and Since Cinderella didn't have a Christmas special, I don't have a favorite Christmas movie.

Now favorite Christmas movies I can do (and I don't even celebrate Christmas.)

1. White Christmas (I love musicals)
2. Miracle on 34th street (both original and remake)
3. Scrooged (A few years ago ohanafamily and I stayed in all day watching just about every version of A Christmas Carol ever made.)

Thanks for the warm welcome! :wave2:

Fav. Disney Movies:
1. Beauty & the Beast
2. The Parent Trap
3. Finding Nemo

Fav. Christmas movies:
1. Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer
2. Christmas Story
3. Homecoming Christmas

Welcome,

laurabelle, Lewski709, and anyone else I missed.

I gotta do this...

Randolf the red gunned cowboy had a very shiney gun.
And if you ever saw it, you would turn around and run.

All of the other cowpokes used to laugh and call him names,
The never let poor Randolf join in any Pokes Games.

Then one Foggy Christmas night, Sheriff came to say.
Randolf with your Gun so bright, won't you shoot my Wife tonight.

Then all the cowpokes love him, as they shouted out with glee.
Randolf the Red Gunned Cowboy, Youllll Goooo Downnn in History!

Howdy folks! I'm still slaving away at my trip report but man oh man am I having fun!

Anyway, my faves are:

Disney movies:
1. Little Mermaid
2. All the others!

Non-Disney movies:
1. Halloween
2. Friday the 13th
3. Virtually every single slasher movie from the late 70's through the early 90's

Yes, I know. Neither I, nor my friends and family, can truly understand the paradox of all things Disney, and all things gory horror (or as Joe calls them, "screaming girl movies").

OHANAFAMILY..........ooohhhh...you funny girl, you soooo funny.:teeth:

I forgot, my favorite non Disney, SHREK. I shirk to say that because there is so much flaming toward Disney in it, but it just makes me realize how much I love Disney and know about Dinsey. Se my castle down there.....is there anything I don't know about Disney?????

Who doesn't like CHOCOLATE????? Ok, really.....most people do. I am hoping the TF is one of them.

Thanks again to everyone for the Birthday Wishes!!:grouphug:

I had a great birthday. DH & I went out to dinner & saw Kill Bill. It was sooooo good. I would recommend it to everyone, but if you don't like Quentin Tarrantino movies (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown) then you probably won't like Kill Bill.

Welcome Speed Weasell, laurabelle, Lewski709, & Nieceosaurus! I was hoping you'd join in, Nieceosaurus!!! Have you picked a color???

As for the new question. This is a tough one. I'm sure I will leave some favorites out, but here goes....

Disney: Beauty & the Beast

non-Disney:
1. The Big Chill
2. Best in Show
3. Almost Famous
4. Lord of the Rings (Fellowship & Towers, can't wait for Return of the King)
5. Dazed & Confused
6. Reservoir Dogs
7. The Usual Suspects

Christmas: Christmas Vacation & A Christmas Story

There are so many more movies I love. I feel like I've left out so many others, but these are the first that popped into my head.

Oh, I also love Say Anything and St. Elmo's Fire. And, I really liked A Beautiful Mind. I also love My Fair Lady & Clueless. OK, I'm going to stop now. I could do this all day.

Depplyinluv!!!!!! I wanted to tell you I was watching E! last night & they had a commercial for their new E! True Hollywood Story for Sunday night...............JOHNNY DEPP!!! Just thought you'd like to know:wave2:

Lewski709, just thought you should know... Ohanafamily is very much a man. ::yes:: My man in fact, happily married nearly 2 1/2 years now. (Although I'm sure he'll get a good chuckle from being called a "funny girl".)

RRBB and OHANAFAMILY......

No offense intended, just a line taken from a movie. Sorry! I hope HE does get a good chuckle. I am laughing myself!!!:teeth:

A question for the younger Tagliarchers -- Does "Breakfast Club" still hold true for high school today? In other words, is it considered timeless. I'm curious if the cliques (jocks, geeks, heads, etc.) are still the same.

I graduated in '83. The movie came out in, I believe, '85, so I was during my time and I thought it was right on.

I've got some dramatic movies to add:

Shawshank Redemption
The Color Purple (note to self: haven't seen this one in years. rent when husband leaves for Florida as he hates this stuff.)

Christmas movie: A Christmas Story and ELF!!!

Do any of you like fantasy movies? DH and I love Labrynth and Legend.
