I just got back from grocery shopping, and I am still seething.

When I came out of the store with my cart load of groceries I noticed that the goofy woman parked next to me had her shopping cart (that was full of 24-packs of Coke) resting on my brand new car! I said "Excuse me, your cart is scratching my car", and she said "sorry, but it's windy and I didn't want the cart to blow onto MY car, so I leaned it against yours. It's not hurting anything.". I just looked at her like she had 2 heads! She didn't want HER car scratched, but it's OK to scratch mine! What an idiot!! I did control myself and didn't give into the urge to shove the cart into her car as hard as I could. Fortunately for her I didn't see any major damage, just a minor scratch.

That is very brazen of that woman. Good for you for keeping your cool. Of all the unmitigated nerve!

It is ok to scratch your car but not her own? Another great example of the me, me, me, me mentality:mad:

What a dingbat and rude, too.

UUgghh don't know if I could have held back, you should be commended.

She was a nitwit.

You were amazingly cool calm and collected.

I guess I would have used the same argument as I leaned my cart up against her car. You are a much better person that I am.

oh my goodness.. selfish wench ... You would think her mother taught her better than that.... maybe she was not listening that day.....

You were very good not to hip check her!

wow!

I would have been totally shocked that someone would do that. That's just rude!

You were nicer than I would have.....I would have just let it hit her car with all the weight of it!

Makes perfect sense to me.

That's one reason I have been parking my new van way out in the lot - that and the fact that I haven't quite learned how to park it.

Wow I can't believe she actually admitted that was why the cart was leaning against your car. How stupid and rude.

How rude!

Good for you for keeping your cool. It couldn't have been easy.

1. If I had a cart mine would be resting on her car for ---you know the same reason----I don't want to scratch mine----and make sure it rests on the back so she can't back out....

2. If no cart I would have helped her with the soda-----Ya right---. How far can I throw a 1/2 case of pop?

Stupidity isn't a reason to be rude---With the exception---- if the Stupid person is the other guy---then I get to be rude.....my rule....my game. If you don't like it take your cart and lean it on your own car.....

Pattyn

I know the feeling... I was at the grocery store a few months ago and while I was backing out of my spot some guy backed into my car, I got out, he got out and says is everything okay???? No you dummy you just backed into my car...Boy that ruined the evening....lol
