The NCIS Official Thread

Tonight just brought up more questions. What is in that file? And is he the real Vance? He was supposed to have the torn retina, but his dead friend had it? And there were pics of the friend as a marine, but no record of it? I'm ready to find out the whole story.

I read another of Vance's interviews a few weeks ago (in TV Guide I think?????) and he mentioned a spinoff. I haven't heard anything about it anywhere else. There were no details in the interview either-just that they were going ahead with it.

The characters for the spin off (Chris O'Donnell is one of the actors) are to be introduced during the last two episodes.....No title that I know of.

Ok I am lost there is question that Vance might not be real????

Have a Magical Disney Day:) :)

I actually ignored the first thirty minutes last night! Watched the very beginning, lost interest, then paid attention for the last fifteen minutes or so. I also dislike the Vance character.

There seemed to be a question as to the identities of Vance and his friend. Apparently the answers are in the file (when Gibbs asked Vance his connection to the friend, Vance knew he hadn't read the file yet). Vance's wife told Gibbs that he was discharged from the Marines due to a torn retina-Gibbs had Duckie check the body for surgery to repair a torn retina (and Duckie confirmed it). Vance has a marine record-the friend didn't-but Vance said the friend was a marine. Those are the questions I'm talking about.

I liked that the sister (can't remember names today!) told Tony to pick the right woman, then opened the elevator on Ziva. It is only a matter of time......

Yeah, I had more questions than answers at the end of that episode.

Yeah, I had ques too...like is the "real" Vance the dead guy and the "fake" Vance the one playing the director???

Nope....the magical question is if VAnce is indeed Vance. I have to say i really love his wife though.

So i missed news of a spinoff did i? I adore Chris O'Donnell. Can't wait to see where this is going to go.

Ok, what did we think about last night?

I loved Ziva last night - especially when the 2 guys were coming into the room and she shot them both!

Except ... what was up with the phone call to Gibbs? Was that REALLY necessary? I get why she had Tony go in the bathroom with the witness - someone needs to stay with him - but her partner was still RIGHT THERE if she needed help. She was clearly unafraid and totally sure of herself with the two bad guys. So why the showboating? It just made it look like she was showing off for her boss. Why call him when she knew she had the situation handled?

It's my consistent problem with Ziva -- her "I'm a killing machine and better than anyone else in the room" mentality. The whole scene could have been just as effective without the "let's psych out Gibbs" phone call.

:earsboy:

dang, I had too much going on last night to sit down and watch, when will it be up on CBS.com?

I loved when Ziva said, "under control", after shooting them. To me, that was the best part of the epi There's going to be a spin off? I missed that news too.

I saw the episode when Jenny Shepard was killed. Ducky told Gibbs that she was dying. Did they ever say what she had?

Ziva is so funny, she's almost likea guy in a girls body if you get my drift. I guess they write her that way since she's Mossad, tough and no nonsense. I've seen the "chemistry" with Tony for a few years worth of episodes now.

I guess you missed the episode where she was wearing the very, very low cut blue dress and singing in the club. Not a guy in that body.....

Joining in if no one minds. popcorn::

I love this show and it is the ONLY show on TV that my Dad will watch! He (and I) love Abby. I haven't gone back and read the earlier threads yet but I really like Ziva. I thought the 2 guns and then situation under control was hilarious. I figured she called Gibbs so he could send more help on the off chance she couldn't handle it. Or maybe just because it added some comedy!:lmao:

Feel free to jump in! The under control epi was hilarious. I'm looking forward to next week's new episode. It will be exciting how they introduce the spin-off.

I too love Abby, I have her as my profile picture every Tuesday on Facebook.

OK, first I have to say, I love this show, don't miss it, watch most of the reruns on USA (I've seen them a few times and skip the ones that I am not as fond of), so don't flame me too much over this. Why do they write Tony being so mean and sometimes downright cruel to McGee? I know most of this in in earlier episodes, but it seems just so unprofessional. I know it is fiction and all, that but as I watch some of the times between the two of them it makes me not like Tony. Sometimes.

What is the spin off????

Here you go....

FYI

Previously, we reported that the record-breaking ratings of NCIS has apparently dogged CBS to develop a spin-off and take advantage of this new-found popularity. The whole thing's supposed to be a secret, even if filming the pilot is just around the corner in February. According to some sources, a new lineup of NCIS will be introduced later this season and subsequently be launched with their own show set to premiere next fall. Entertainment Weekly reports that this development has in the process derailed the long-gestating Criminal Minds spin-off, much to the latter's fans.

When the news first exploded in late November, an insider told Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly that the NCIS spin-off was still in the early stages. The good news for fans of the CBS procedural is that the spin-off is starting to take shape. After all, CBS is due to shoot the pilot less than a couple of months from now. According to reports, there is already a set of main characters for the proposed series. Read on to get to know the new NCIS team.

Leading the pack is Callen, who was described as an average Joe in his 30s, who can easily change personas. Clara Macy is a tough former MP in her early 40s, who has a tendency to be very maternal to the younger guys at the team. Nate "Doc" Getz, 30, is an operational psychologist who is very witty and biting, but is really soft-hearted on the inside. Kensi Lo is a young Asian-American on her twenties who was recruited early by the Feds because of her outstanding academic record in forensics and criminology.

Meanwhile, Sam Hanna is either an African-American or Middle Eastern ex-Navy SEAL who is in his 40s, an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran, and the team's only married member. Lastly, Dominic Vaile is a thirty-something surveillance expert who's still reeling from his departure from the Navy.

At the very least this news has allayed fears from fans that someone from the team, like Tony (Michael Weatherly) for instance, as one fan suggested, might move to the spin-off and take a leadership role. Then again, when NCIS was introduced as a spin-off to JAG, none of the characters there were taken off.
