He knows all the beer spots!

Me? My new fave is a Queen Margarita: Lemoncello, Grappa & Margarita mix. It's in Italy, but may be in other spots, too.
Okay, you have one in Italy, get one for the road & pour yet another into your insulated refillable cup

I love the Citron Lemonade Slush from France. There's nothing better than sitting in the sun with a beret on your head and a frozen bev in your hand at the France Pavillion in EPCOT.

So how's the remodel Jean? Could you please hurry up with it so you can come work on my house?

So now I have kitchen cabinets for the 1st time in at least 2 years.
Oh, big news here: a kitchen sink!
No counters other than tileboard, tiles on order.....

So...DH blocked up our windows on the north side (the kitchen sink wall), put up drywall w/o replacing ceiling drywall & part of the floor is torn up.

But, it's progress!

I think I need a drink, too. This Citron Lemonade Slush sounds good. I was pretty disappointed with my Nassau Royale/cream soda thing - it was too sweet.

So I'll throw in my 2 cents on home improvements - my mother and I bought new shutters for the house and we're having it powerwashed next Thursday. And we're buying new light fixtures for the outside. Not much, but something.

So I'll throw in my 2 cents on home improvements - my mother and I bought new shutters for the house and we're having it powerwashed next Thursday. And we're buying new light fixtures for the outside. Not much, but something.

Shutters, powerwash and new light fixtures, those will make a tremendous difference!

We're trying to decide on front door paint. Currently, the house is a very light/platinum-y grey with white shutters and a sky-blue door. The new shutters are "tuxedo grey" (maybe a charcoal-ish?). We were going to take one to Home Depot and have them custom-mix some paint for the door, but now my mother wants it darker. All we really can do is black. And I think we're going to do black light fixtures. I think it will still turn out nicely.

It looked really nice, especially with the brass hardware (kickplate, colonial style door handle w/escutcheon plate & knocker (just one, down boys!).

Is it still rainy there? It's cold & rainy here. I'm hoping my new lavender plants don't die!

Not on purpose! I tried so hard to keep that one plant of mine from dying...I made sure the soil was always moist, I gave it Miracle Gro...it died anyway. And I actually felt horrible.

I could probably even kill a cactus.

Jean - I mentioned the purple door and my mother seems to be considering it. But she's wondering - we also have a sidelite panel that will need to be painted. She's not sure if that will be too many colours going on (light grey, dark grey, purple, and black). I told her, "Let's just start with going to look at the paint and seeing what we find in that shade." I still like the idea, but it's going to have to be really dark, I think.
