The genius squad at Taco Bell has struck again. First, a taco shell made of Doritos. And now this creation of pure brilliance - a fried chicken taco shell. :worship:

My dd and I just saw that commercial but I had the mute on, we were wondering what the shell was. I'm so glad you started this thread, we thought the white part in the shell was cheese LOL

My friend had it the other day and loved it so much she made it her FB profile picture lolol. I don't eat meat so I will have to miss out on the wonder.

I've been going to Taco Bell recently, and one near my home has occasionally put "sold out" over the sign. Haven't tried one yet.

I'll admit to liking Taco Bell food, but there's not a location anywhere near me. It's been years since I've been there...probably for the best. :)

Define spicy. I'll smear packets of Diablo Sauce, but it's not even as hot as my standybys at home - Huy Fong Sriracha and El Yucateco Mayan Recipe habanero sauce.

One of the reasons why I go is because my kid will actually eat it and it's cheap. However, my kid won't eat anything with any heat to it.

I am also glad someone started this thread!! I saw the commercial and said out loud," Nooooo, waaaaay!" processed meat in the shape of a taco, stuffed with more meat & cheese and deep fried??!!! YESSSS!!!!!! I can't WAIT to instantly love & regret this simultaneously...I am NOT being sarcastic at all, I am dying to try it :yay:

We tried them the other night because DH said you can't go wrong with a taco shell made of meat and they were surprising good. The sauce is what makes it 'spicy' but it's not bad.

I think they look really good. Would one of them be big enough to make a meal, with nothing else added? I'd like to try one but just looked up the nutritional values, and if I ate one I wouldn't be able to include anything else in that meal (I'm on Weight Watchers).

I thought one was enough and so did my 12 year old but my husband had two.

It's my understanding that there is no ground beef inside like a regular taco. Just the lettuce, cheese, tomato, and some kind of sauce with a chicken patty "shell". So basically just a chicken burger without the bun.

Oh no my Taco Bell friend, you can "customize" and for $.60 add ground beef, more for chicken and steak. Can you tell that I'm ready for my order when I make the pilgrimage 2 towns over?!! :hyper:

What price are they going for? I've been to a couple of different locations where it was $2.99 or $3.49. The combo was consistently $5.

I got one today and brought it home to munch watching the SB. My kid wasn't interested though.

I got the "box" for $5 and tax, but I didn't quite get a box. They just stuffed 3 tacos in a bag. They also ran out of the Doritos nacho cheese shells, so they subbed cool ranch.

Not bad. It's really just fried chicken. Not life changing, but I thought it was fine.

DW had one & thought it was "okay". I had already eaten, so I'll have to try it another time.
