The genius squad at Taco Bell has struck again. First, a taco shell made of Doritos. And now this creation of pure brilliance - a fried chicken taco shell.![]()
We tried them the other night because DH said you can't go wrong with a taco shell made of meat and they were surprising good. The sauce is what makes it 'spicy' but it's not bad.
I think they look really good. Would one of them be big enough to make a meal, with nothing else added? I'd like to try one but just looked up the nutritional values, and if I ate one I wouldn't be able to include anything else in that meal (I'm on Weight Watchers).
I am also glad someone started this thread!! I saw the commercial and said out loud," Nooooo, waaaaay!" processed meat in the shape of a taco, stuffed with more meat & cheese and deep fried??!!! YESSSS!!!!!! I can't WAIT to instantly love & regret this simultaneously...I am NOT being sarcastic at all, I am dying to try it![]()
It's my understanding that there is no ground beef inside like a regular taco. Just the lettuce, cheese, tomato, and some kind of sauce with a chicken patty "shell". So basically just a chicken burger without the bun.
