Last week during our stay at the BWV I spotted a rollaway bed.

My DW and I were coming in by health club to get on the elevators. Just as we were about to get on the elevator, around the corner from the first floor rooms comes a CM rolling a rollaway bed. MY DW and I got on the elevator, pushed the button, the door closed and I realized what I saw.

If I thought of it in time, I would have asked the CM where it came from? (or some witty comment to gain information without him realizing I was being a nosey owner).

So what do you all think? What could be the mystery of the rollaway?

Hmmm, does the BWI offer rollaways? If so, I'll bet a CM slipped up and put one in a villa.

Don't know if it would be a possibility, but I think that the GV's at BWV are on two floors. Perhaps there was someone with a mobility problem in one of the villas, so they agreed to provide a rollaway to allow the person a place to sleep on the lower level if there aren't entries on both levels? Doubt that is the explanation, but it would seem plausible.

I think I saw the same rollaway at BCV last December!! :rotfl: There can't possibly be more than one! It was out in the corridor next to a Villa door.

I wonder if it walked or took the boat to BWV? :lmao:

The plot thickens...........

Maybe it is the rollaway that we were able to get for our first DVC point stay in a studio at BWV in 1998. We had to pay extra for it but we had two children of different sexes and simply asked if a rollaway was available as the 22 yo girl did not want to sleep with anyone else including the 12 yo boy or me the step mother and obvisously not her father. I think it was $15 a night at the time and well worth it. They never said where it came from and from other posts when people said there were no rollaways available I thought they had gotten rid of them. It sure was a vacation saver that trip for the 2 nights we were there before moving into a GV at OKW.

All the regular Disney resorts offer a rollaway in the room @ $15/night. We used it for our disabled DD @ CBR & Poly when we stayed there before....
If they offered it for DVCers, I'd pay the $15/night knowing that the kids didn't have to share a bed, if we rented a 1 bedrm. :thumbsup2

Maybe it's for the use of guests who book through CRO? If that's the case, I certainly don't agree with it! :sad2:

And, I hope the word doesn't spread too far -- I can't imagine what will happen once it does! :scared1:
